Abstract

Memorizing the Qur’an is a vital activity in Islamic education, fostering students’ spiritual values, discipline, and learning responsibility. However, the monitoring of memorization often lacks systematic instruments. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the student profile book in monitoring the Qur’an memorization of ninth-grade students at MTs Sains Algebra, Sorong City, and and its impact on monitoring students' memorization. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers, students, and parents. Data were analyzed through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the student profile book was developed to meet the school’s need for a structured system to monitor memorization and to engage parents in continuing the learning process at home. The book is designed to be simple, clear, and easy to understand, involving all relevant parties. In practice, students submit their memorization to the class teacher according to a set schedule, and the book is periodically handed over to parents. Its implementation enhances structured monitoring, improves memorization quality, discipline, motivation, and strengthens collaboration between the school and parents. The study implies that the student profile book is an effective evaluative, collaborative, and strategic tool for supporting Qur’an learning in schools.

Abstract

Sharia cooperatives play a strategic role in promoting equitable economic growth, particularly in Central Tapanuli Regency. However, their development still faces various challenges, such as low-quality human resources, weak institutional governance, limited capital, as well as insufficient regulatory support and competitiveness compared to other financial institutions. This study aims to analyze models for the development of Islamic cooperatives and determine effective strategic priorities to improve their performance. The study employs a mixed-methods approach using the Analytic Network Process (ANP) method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and paired-comparison questionnaires involving experts, regulators, and cooperative managers. The results indicate that internal factors are the primary constraints, with a dominant focus on human resources, particularly managerial capabilities and understanding of Sharia principles. Meanwhile, external factors such as competitors and regulatory support also influence the development of the cooperatives. The implications of this study underscore the importance of strengthening human resource capacity through continuous training and adaptive policy support to enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of Islamic cooperatives.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the gap between the normative concepts of Islamic business ethics in fiqh muamalah and their empirical implementation at the level of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, particularly in the food sector, which is characterized by high economic dynamics. In practice, not all business actors are able to consistently implement Sharia values due to market pressures and limited resources. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the implementation of Sharia-based trading ethics, assess its conformity with the principles of muamalah, and identify the factors influencing the economic behavior of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise actors on Jalan Sindang Sari, Cileunyi Wetan. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study strategy. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The findings indicate that most Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise actors have implemented the principles of honesty (shiddiq), transparency (tabligh), responsibility (amanah), and price fairness based on market standards, although variations remain in the transparency of raw material information. These findings affirm that Sharia business ethics are not merely normative but also function as social capital in fostering trust and business sustainability. The implication is the need to strengthen Sharia economic literacy and standardize product transparency to improve the quality of business practices among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the values of Islamic Guidance and Counseling in Tere Liye’s novel Hujan and their relevance to Islamic counseling practice. This study uses a qualitative approach with content analysis. Data were obtained through an in-depth reading of the narrative, dialogues, inner conflicts, and character development of the main character, Lail. The results show that Hujan contains six main values: patience, tawakkal, sincerity, emotional regulation, empathy and social support, as well as motivation and hope for life. These values emerge through Lail’s experiences in facing loss, trauma, psychological pressure, and the process of self-recovery after a disaster. The findings indicate that individual recovery is shaped not only by personal strength, but also by spiritual awareness and supportive social relationships. Hujan can be understood as a reflective medium that bridges psychological and spiritual dimensions. This study concludes that literary works can be used as an alternative medium in Islamic Guidance and Counseling services, particularly through a narrative approach, especially for adolescent counselees who need concrete examples in understanding life experiences, managing emotions, accepting reality, and rebuilding hope in a more religiously meaningful way.

Abstract

The rapid growth of short-form video platforms such as TikTok has opened new opportunities for digital-based Islamic Religious Education at MA ZAHA 04 Pakuniran. This study aims to analyze the strategies used by Islamic Religious Education teachers in utilizing TikTok as a medium for internalizing Islamic values. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, collecting data through interviews, account observations, documentation, and analysis of TikTok video content. The results indicate that TikTok can serve as an engaging learning medium by presenting material in the form of short, visual, and contextual videos, such as Arabic vocabulary, moral values, Islamic motivation, the pillars of faith, and worship procedures. The use of this platform has been proven to enhance students’ motivation, engagement, and understanding of the learning material. Additionally, TikTok fosters creativity among both teachers and students in producing educational content rooted in Islamic values. However, challenges remain, particularly regarding digital literacy, video duration limitations, and the need for filtering credible content. This study concludes that TikTok has great potential as an innovative learning medium relevant to the characteristics of the digital generation, provided it is used purposefully, critically, and integrated into appropriate pedagogical strategies.

Abstract

This study examines the role of religious education in shaping students’ academic ethics in higher education. The research is grounded in the growing concern over academic misconduct, such as plagiarism, cheating, and data manipulation, which reflects a gap between ethical ideals and academic practices. Using a qualitative approach, this study explores how religious values are internalized and implemented in academic contexts. The findings reveal that religious education plays a strategic role in fostering core ethical values, including honesty, responsibility, integrity, discipline, justice, and moral awareness. These values contribute significantly to guiding students’ academic behavior and strengthening their internal moral control. However, the study also identifies several challenges, such as the lack of curriculum integration, the dominance of theoretical teaching methods, weak role modeling, and the influence of digital technology and academic pressure. The novelty of this research lies in its integrative approach that connects religious values with concrete academic practices. This study contributes theoretically by enriching the discourse on academic ethics and practically by offering insights for developing value-based learning strategies in higher education.

Abstract

Islamic education during the time of the Prophet Muhammad  emphasized an integrative and transformative approach, combining cognitive, affective, and moral dimensions. However, modern education tends to promote superficial learning that focuses primarily on memorization and cognitive achievement, thereby failing to foster deep understanding and behavioral transformation among learners. This study aims to analyze the integration of the Prophet’s teaching methods with the deep learning paradigm as a solution to this issue. The research employs a library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach and content analysis technique, using sources such as the Qur’an, Hadith, classical Islamic literature, and contemporary academic journals. The findings reveal that the Prophet’s methods—exemplary conduct, interactive dialogue, and contextual learning—align with the three main pillars of deep learning: meaningful learning, mindful learning, and joyful learning. Critically, this model not only emphasizes conceptual understanding but also encourages moral reflection, value internalization, and behavioral transformation. The study implies that this integration can serve as a philosophical and pedagogical foundation for developing a more meaningful, humanistic, and transformative Islamic education in the modern era.

Abstract

Ophidiophobia is a specific phobia with strong evolutionary roots that significantly impacts individuals’ quality of life and clinical functioning. Although exposure therapy remains the gold standard treatment, its effectiveness is often limited by patient resistance and high anticipatory anxiety. This study aims to synthesize existing literature on the neurobiological mechanisms underlying snake phobia, identify key morphological triggers, and explore the potential integration of psychospiritual interventions based on the narrative of Prophet Moses. A systematic literature review was conducted following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, using databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar for publications between 2015 and 2025. Study quality was assessed using the JBI Critical Appraisal Tools. The findings indicate that the human brain possesses a visual detection system highly sensitive to specific scale patterns and curvilinear shapes, triggering rapid responses via the amygdala pathway. Exposure therapy facilitates fear extinction through neuroplastic processes involving prefrontal regulation. The integration of religious narratives may support cognitive reappraisal as a complementary approach. This study proposes an integrative framework to enhance culturally adaptive therapeutic strategies.

Abstract

This study examines the differences in the inheritance rights of Minangkabau women living abroad versus those living in their hometowns, within the context of the interplay between matrilineal customary law and Islamic legal principles. The study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of Minangkabau women’s inheritance rights, focusing on two main aspects: high-ranking ancestral property and low-ranking ancestral property. The methodology employed is a descriptive qualitative approach with systematic analysis of inheritance practices across various social contexts. The results indicate that regarding high-value ancestral property, there is no difference between Minangkabau women living abroad and those in their hometowns, as they remain bound by the matrilineal system and the maternal lineage. However, regarding low-value ancestral property, differences emerge, with women living abroad tending to follow local customs. Meanwhile, in their hometowns, the distribution of low-value ancestral property generally adheres to Islamic faraid law, although individual needs are still considered through family deliberation. These findings demonstrate the flexibility of Minangkabau inheritance practices as a form of adaptation to social change without abandoning traditional and Islamic values. The implications of this research underscore the importance of harmonizing tradition and Islamic law in maintaining justice and the sustainability of the inheritance system.

Abstract

This study examines the role and effectiveness of the Qur’anic Education Park program in strengthening community religiosity within the framework of the mosque as a center of civilization. Using a qualitative field research approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation at Masjid Al-Muttaqiin Malangjiwan. The findings reveal that the program contributes significantly to developing students’ religiosity across cognitive, affective, and behavioral dimensions through structured learning, habituation, and teacher role modeling. Various innovations, such as interactive learning and differentiated instruction, enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. However, the program’s effectiveness remains more prominent at the individual level and has not been fully integrated into broader mosque-based social and community development. Challenges include limited human resources, diverse student abilities, and low parental involvement. The study highlights the need for strengthening program integration, improving teacher capacity, utilizing technology, and enhancing collaboration with families. Overall, the Qur’anic Education Park holds strong potential as a strategic instrument for developing a holistic, mosque-based civilization.
