Abstract

This study aims to provide several exposures and indicators regarding student perceptions of autonomous learning in increasing the students’ language capacity. In addition, this research is expected to be able to describe several views and in-depth efforts of the participants in increasing their language capacity independently. Mixed-Method was utilized in this study in order to enrich the data both quantitative and qualitative. As a result, the data generated can be more comprehensive in exploring the problem. For quantitative data, the questionnaire was adopted from Khem Raj Joshi (2011) which includes: learner awareness, self-effort, broader autonomous activities, self- esteem, use of reference materials, motivation, and use of technology in learning. Furthermore, for qualitative data, the interview was gathered in order to know the students' arguments related to their reason for being autonomous learners based on the questionnaire. The result of the study found that students have a high level of autonomy in the use of technology in learning. Vice versa, the students categorize as a low level of autonomy based on the indicator of motivation in which they are seldom to give the reward for themselves.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the application of punishment in the learning process of students in class VII at the Islamic Boarding School, Jauharul Wathon Muaro Jambi, especially in the Arabic language learning process. Furthermore, this research tries to see what impact arises from giving punishment for repeating vocabulary on the Arabic language learning process of class VII students at the Islamic Boarding School Jauharul Wathon, Muaro Jambi. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach, and in the data collection process, the author uses observation, documentation, and interview methods. The subjects in this research were class VII Arabic language education teachers at the Islamic Boarding School, Jauharul Wathon, and Muaro Jambi. The research results show several positive and negative factors in implementing the impact of punishment for repeating vocabulary on class VII students at the Islamic Boarding School Jauharul Wathon, and Muaro Jambi. As for the impacts arising from punishment for repeating vocabulary, most of them have a positive impact, and a small part have a negative impact.

Abstract

The urgency of guidance/coaching-based religious learning in higher education is absolutely in the demands of the current era of collaboration. Where the rapid flow of information and digitalization leads students to deviant religious behavior without being aware of the weak control and input of students' basic religious beliefs. This study aims to provide an explanation of the concept and implementation of the coaching model along with its supports and implementation constraints in the Jambi University Islamic Education tutorial program in providing basic religious guidance through collaboration between PAI lecturers and coaches/tutors within the framework of coaching modeling. The method used in this study is based on descriptive qualitative research methods. Which aims to explain a phenomenon as deeply as possible by collecting data as deeply as possible, which shows the importance of the depth and detail of the data being studied according to their needs. : (1) in-depth interviews; (2) observation; (3) documentation is used as the data collection technique. The results of this study indicate that first, the implementation of coaching models in tutorial activities is carried out with active and participatory collaboration between lecturers, tutors/coaches and students/coachees with an increase in religiosity through a fortopolio-based assessment of religious proficiency (FKB). Second, the obstacles that become obstacles are related to the effectiveness and efficiency of time and the quality of input for the low initial ability of students. and Finally, the support carried out with this activity is the availability of adequate infrastructure and textbooks, and the greatest support is from competent and professional Coach/Tutor resources by passing recruitment and selective competency tests.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to create a representation of several tertiary institutions that are capable of significant transformations. The findings of this field research: 1) Management policies in preparing Insani’s Human Resources (SDI) for the transformation agenda at IAI Muhammad Azim with a focus on HR readiness policies and academic governance policies. The Governance Policy at IAI YASNI applies the principles of Insani’s Human Resource Management (MSDI), namely: shura, musyarakah, al-ujrah, and obedience to leaders, 2) The process of transformation through the practice of MSDI in Private Higher Education IAIMA and IAI YASNI is divided into the process of administrative transition and the process of building a transformative work culture and MSDI, 3) The dynamics in the Implementation of the Transformation Agenda at Private Higher Education in Jambi province run dynamically and continuously through internalization of transformative values and strategic planning and capacity building of higher education SDI, 4) There are several barriers to IAI Muhammad Azim’s transformation program, including a lack of commitment to the organization, a dearth of qualified human resources (tridharma and education and training), acclimatization to new technologies and cultural norms, and opposition to internal change. The following factors are preventing IAI Yasni from implementing its change agenda: compensation restrictions, sincerity, resistance, and conflict of interest between administrators, 5) The accomplishments of the transformation agenda that IAI Muhammad Azim can produce, specifically: adjustments to a new work culture, adjustments to human resources from an Islamic values perspective, and institutional adjustments. A new integrated digitalization-based work culture, quality-based tridharma education, and the construction of a new work culture based on competence and sincerity are all part of IAI Yasni’s transformation plan, and 6) Kopertais as a facilitator and institution that fosters and has internal performance, namely assisting universities in preparing material for changes in status transfer.

Abstract

One of activities that must be carried out by teachers in developingcompetency as a teacher is scientific publication (Article 11 of the Ministerof PAN & RB Regulation No. 16 of 2009 concerning Teacher FunctionalPosition). Scientific publications are considered important in supportingthe activities of teachers by conducting scientific publications: 1) a teachersupports to improve scientific insights which are disseminated by thedevelopment of science and technology, thus the learning process carriedout daily is based on science and technology that is always up-to-date, 2)with scientific publication of a teacher is required to have insights forpublication and writing based on scientific principles, 3) with scientificpublication a teacher encourages to create and innovate in developingvarious strategies, methods, models and learning media and 4) withscientific publications teachers are required to mutually share, the resultsof research and various developments related to best practices in carryingout his profession as a teacher. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk-bentuk kesalahan membaca teks bahasa Arab siswa kelas V MIS Ihsaniyah Kelurahan Legok Kecamatan Danau Sipin Kota Jambi. Faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya kesalahan pembacaan teks bahasa Arab dan upaya untuk menghindarinya pada tataran fonologis. Penelitian kualitatif merupakan metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi digunakan dalam proses pengumpulan data. Analisis deskriptif digunakan untuk menguji data. Perubahan fonem MIS Ihsaniyah Kota Jambi dan pengurangan fonem ditemukan menjadi dua jenis kesalahan yang paling umum dalam membaca teks bahasa Arab dalam penelitian ini. Materi pembelajaran yang tidak menarik, ketidakmampuan siswa untuk berkonsentrasi, keyakinan bahwa bahasa Arab adalah pelajaran yang sulit untuk dipelajari, sarana dan prasarana yang tidak memadai, kurangnya dukungan orang tua terhadap pelajaran bahasa Arab dan bahasa ibu serta faktor lingkungan semuanya berkontribusi terhadap kesalahan dalam membaca teks bahasa Arab. Guru telah berupaya membuat pembelajaran menjadi menyenangkan, memberikan perhatian khusus kepada siswa yang mengalami kesulitan membaca teks bahasa Arab, dan menyiapkan sarana dan prasarana sendiri yang belum siap.

Abstract

This paper shows the role of Syafana Islamic School's strategic management in the transformation of the implementation of the full-day program by changing it to a boarding school system. These changes are not only in the aspect of the learning system, but even on the curriculum side which uses the combination of several curricula; Diknas, Egypt (Al-Azhar) and Cambridge are integrated into the concept of Islamic boarding school, the change process is observed and analyzed using the SWOT analysis model (Strength, Weakness ,Opportunity and Threath) with an emphasis on the process of changing the system and curriculum applied by Syafana Islamic School. With the results and findings, there is a strategic management in the transformation by integrating and using four collaborative strategies. First, the Strategic Opportunity Strategy. With the model of merging and accumulating strengths by exploiting various opportunities. Second, the Strength Threath Strategy with knowledge of the strengths possessed can see and anticipate existing threats. Third, the Weakness Opportunity Strategy, the opportunity to be a major factor in efforts to overcome the weaknesses in this institution and Finally the Weakness Threath Strategy. Defense efforts are still analyzed and carried out in order to minimize weaknesses and threats from outside the institution.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the Local Content Curriculum of Arabic-Malay Script in Improving Literacy Through Local Wisdom at the Nurul Iman Seberang Islamic School in Jambi City. The research method used by the researcher is a descriptive qualitative approach, data obtained through observation, interviews and documentation conducted at the Nurul Iman Seberang Madrasah in Jambi City. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Local Content Curriculum of Arabic-Malay Script in the Arabic-Malay subject taught from grade VII to grade IX, the learning resources or reference books used are in the form of books provided by the school. The challenges in implementing the implementation of this local content curriculum are students who come from general educational backgrounds and are not yet familiar with the hijaiyah letters. The efforts made are in learning, teachers carry out special learning with a coaching system for students who find it difficult to learn Arabic-Malay Script.

Abstract

Fenomena menurunnya kepedulian sosial, melemahnya semangat kolaborasi, serta meningkatnya pengaruh negatif media digital yang tidak sejalan dengan norma budaya lokal menjadi tantangan serius di Desa Malapari. Permasalahan ini terutama disebabkan belum terintegrasinya nilai-nilai kearifan lokal ke dalam sistem pendidikan formal maupun nonformal. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal dalam pendidikan karakter guna meningkatkan kapasitas guru, tokoh adat, dan pemuda sekaligus memperkuat ekosistem gotong royong sebagai strategi preventif terhadap dekadensi moral generasi muda. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahapan utama, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan pelaporan, dengan melibatkan 30 peserta yang terdiri atas guru, tokoh adat, perangkat desa, pemuda, dan orang tua. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan observasi partisipatif untuk menilai keterlibatan dan perubahan perilaku sosial peserta dalam konteks pembelajaran berbasis budaya. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi nilai kearifan lokal mampu meningkatkan pemahaman guru hingga 27%, memperkuat kesadaran kolektif masyarakat, serta mendorong keterlibatan aktif pemuda dalam menghasilkan konten digital kreatif berbasis budaya. Kebaruan dari program ini terletak pada pola kolaborasi lintas elemen masyarakat yang berhasil menghadirkan model implementasi pendidikan karakter berbasis kearifan lokal secara aplikatif dan berpotensi direplikasi di wilayah lain. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini tidak hanya memberikan solusi praktis atas lemahnya internalisasi nilai budaya pada remaja, tetapi juga menawarkan kontribusi ilmiah yang relevan dalam penguatan pendidikan karakter di tengah tantangan globalisasi dan arus media digital.
