Abstract

The low level of students' ability to read and write the Qur'an remains an important issue in madrasas, especially at the secondary level. This condition requires appropriate, focused, and sustainable learning strategies, one of which is through strengthening extracurricular activities. This study aims to describe the strategies for teaching Quranic literacy in extracurricular activities at MTs Al-Anshar Tanjung Selor. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation, while data analysis was carried out through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the strategies for teaching Quranic reading and writing were implemented through the imla and demonstration methods, which were tailored to the abilities of the students. Supporting factors for learning included readiness to learn, motivation, and student characteristics, while inhibiting factors included time constraints, the learning environment, learning objectives, and the management of extracurricular activities. The findings of this study imply the importance of strengthening planning, effective time management, and the development of contextual learning strategies so that the implementation of the Qur'anic reading and writing extracurricular activity runs more optimally and sustainably.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the problem of low student learning activity in Islamic Religious Education and Ethics classes, especially verbal and mental activities, which are still dominated by conventional methods and the use of less varied learning media. This condition calls for learning strategies that accommodate differences in student learning styles in the digital age. This study aims to determine the effect of auditory and visual learning styles assisted by interactive YouTube videos on student learning activity at SMA Negeri 3 Bandar Lampung. The study uses a quantitative approach with a comparative causal (ex post facto) design. The sample consisted of 70 students selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire to measure learning styles and learning activity, then analyzed using regression tests. The results showed that auditory and visual learning styles supported by interactive YouTube videos had a significant effect on student learning activity. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of two learning styles with YouTube media in the context of Islamic religious education. The implications emphasize the importance of utilizing interactive, learning-style-based media to design more effective, participatory, and relevant Islamic religious education learning strategies.

Abstract

The low level of critical thinking skills among students in Islamic Religious Education remains a serious problem, mainly due to the dominance of conventional teacher-centered learning methods. In response to this problem, this study examines the application of the Creative Problem Solving learning model in improving the critical thinking skills of students in Islamic Religious Education at SMP IT Cahaya Ilmu, Bandar Lampung. This study used a quasi-experimental design involving an experimental group and a control group. Data collection was conducted through pre-tests and post-tests, observations, and questionnaires. The results showed that the application of the Creative Problem Solving model significantly improved students' critical thinking skills, particularly in problem solving and the application of Islamic Religious Education concepts. In addition, Creative Problem Solving was also able to increase students' active involvement and deepen their understanding of Islamic values. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of integrating problem-solving-based learning models into the Islamic Religious Education curriculum as a strategic effort to respond to the demands of 21st-century learning and shape students who are critical, reflective, and have Islamic character.

Abstract

Dakwah in the midst of the social dynamics of modern society faces challenges in the form of declining social awareness, weakening solidarity, and low community participation in social life. These conditions require a dakwah strategy that is not only normative in nature, but also capable of encouraging social transformation. This study aims to analyze Al-Jam'iyatul Washliyah's da'wah strategy in raising social awareness among the people of North Labuhanbatu Regency. The study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Primary data was obtained through in-depth interviews with Al-Jam'iyatul Washliyah administrators and local da'i, while secondary data was sourced from scientific journals and relevant documents. The results show that Al-Jam'iyatul Washliyah implements an integrative da'wah strategy through dakwah bil-lisan, bil-qalam, and bil-hal, which are structured contextually and involve religious leaders, the community, and local government. The implementation of dakwah bil-hal through social activities and humanitarian actions has proven effective in fostering empathy, solidarity, and social awareness among the community. These findings imply the importance of strengthening Islamic organization-based social da'wah as a model for sustainable social awareness development.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged an increase in online gold transactions as a practical and easily accessible investment alternative. However, this innovation raises new issues regarding its compatibility with the principles of Islamic economic law. This study aims to examine the application of Islamic economic law to online gold transactions through the Tokopedia Emas feature in the Pluang application. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a field research design, through direct observation and in-depth interviews with five active users of Tokopedia Emas. The results show that although this platform offers convenience and flexibility in gold investment, the absence of physical delivery of gold at the time of transaction has the potential to contain elements of riba nasi'ah and gharar. In addition, rapid fluctuations in gold prices open up opportunities for speculative practices (maysir) if not accompanied by clear control mechanisms. These findings indicate that digital efficiency does not fully guarantee compliance with sharia principles. Therefore, this study recommends adjustments to the transaction mechanism, particularly regarding the clarity of contracts, ownership, and delivery of gold. The implications of this study are expected to serve as a reference for platform developers and regulators in strengthening the governance of digital gold transactions in line with the principles of Sharia economic law.

Abstract

Indonesia, as a pluralistic nation, faces serious challenges in the form of increasing intolerance, identity-based conflicts, and the weakening of national character values. This condition indicates that education has not yet fully functioned as a means of managing diversity as a social strength. This study aims to analyze the concept of multicultural education within the social, cultural, and historical context of Indonesia and examine its relevance to strengthening character education. The research employs a qualitative approach using library research methods through critical analysis of scholarly literature, expert perspectives, and relevant educational policy documents. The findings reveal that multicultural education plays a strategic role as an educational paradigm that emphasizes equality, respect for differences, and social justice, and serves as a foundational framework for strengthening character education grounded in the Indonesian context. The integration of multicultural education and character education is shown to foster tolerant, empathetic, and democratic attitudes among students. The implications of this study highlight the importance of mainstreaming multicultural education within curricula, school culture, and national education policies to develop an inclusive and civilized national character.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of strengthening students’ Islamic identity and character through the internalization of Al-Washliyah’s distinctive values in Islamic Religious Education learning. Sibghah Al-Washliyah, which encompasses the values of tawhid, scholarship, morality, religious moderation, and the spirit of da‘wah, is viewed as a strategic foundation for shaping student character at Universitas Muslim Nusantara Al-Washliyah. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Sibghah Al-Washliyah values in the learning process of Islamic Religious Education. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with lecturers and students, observation of the learning process, and documentation of institutional policies, and were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that lecturers have a relatively good understanding of Sibghah Al-Washliyah values, although their implementation varies. Values such as istiqamah, akhlakul karimah, mujahadah, and religious moderation are integrated into learning materials and instructional methods. The implications of this study emphasize the need to continuously strengthen the implementation of Sibghah Al-Washliyah values through institutional policies and more systematic learning development.

Abstract

Loss to follow up (LTFU) remains a serious challenge in the success of HIV treatment, as it is influenced not only by medical factors but also by psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions. High LTFU rates contribute to antiretroviral therapy (ART) failure, increased morbidity risk, and hindered achievement of HIV control targets. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education and psychosocial interventions in reducing LTFU in HIV treatment through support group communication. The method employed is a literature review of scientific articles, books, and relevant national and international policy documents published over the last ten years. The findings indicate that Islamic Religious Education functions as a spiritual coping mechanism that helps people living with HIV (PLHIV) interpret their illness constructively, strengthen mental resilience, and improve treatment adherence. Its effectiveness is further enhanced when integrated with psychosocial interventions through support groups that reduce stigma, social isolation, and psychological distress. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of integrating religious and psychosocial approaches as a holistic and sustainable strategy to improve retention in HIV treatment.
