Abstract

Background: The challenges after the Covid-19 pandemic for MSME entrepreneurs are like natural selection that tests patience and resilience in going through difficult times. Objective: This study aims to determine the level of religiosity and optimism towards the resilience of MSME actors forced by the Covid-19 pandemic. Method: This study is a causal experimental research where the research variables to be studied in this study consist of exogenous variables (religiosity and optimism), and also endogenous variables (resilience). The determination of the sample of this study is by using a non-probability sampling technique. This study uses the Resilience Scale of the Connor Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) which is adapted from the original scale in accordance with the aspects proposed by Connor and Davidson (2003). Result: (a) It can be seen that religiosity directly affects resilience significantly, namely p value (0.000 < 0.05) with an estimated value of 0.373. Judging from the positive value of the estimate, it can be concluded that the better the religiosity, the higher the resilience. (b) It can be seen that optimism directly affects resilience significantly, namely p value (0.000 < 0.05) with an estimated value of 1.256. Judging from the positive value of the estimate, it can be concluded that the better the optimism, the higher the resilience. Conclusion: Based on the results of the analysis carried out, it can be concluded that resilience in MSME actors can be influenced by religiosity and optimism.

Abstract

Background: Couples who live with parents (in-laws) have various dynamics in family life such as interpersonal conflict between daughters-in-law and in-laws. Interpersonal conflict can have a significant impact on the level of environmental stress experienced in the household environment, especially in daughters-in-law. So that the daughter-in-law needs considerable psychological resilience in dealing with the perceived environmental stress. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between interpersonal conflict of daughters-in-law on in-laws and hardiness on environmental stress. Method:This study used a quantitative correlational method with variance-based analysis techniques (Partial Least Square) and processed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). In this study there was a research sample of 326 daughters-in-law who lived with in-laws who were selected using purposive sampling techniques with research participant criteria such as age, education, length of marriage, and length of stay with in-laws. The instruments in the study consisted of environmental stress, interpersonal conflict, and hardiness scales. Result: The results showed that hardiness has a significant positive effect on environmental stress and interpersonal conflict also has a significant effect on environmental stress. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that people with higher levels of hardiness tend to be better at dealing with environmental stress as a challenge. Conversely, high interpersonal conflict can increase environmental stress, so high resilience ability is needed to cope with the pressure that arises from interpersonal conflict. Keywords: Interpersonal Conflict, Hardiness, Environmental Stress, Daughter-in-law, In-laws

Abstract

Background: This study explores the depiction of work-life integration among full-time employees. Changes in organizational culture and technology have blurred the boundaries between work and personal life, requiring employees to manage professional demands while maintaining personal well-being. WLI, which consists of work-to-life and life-to-work dimensions, emphasizes dynamic integration rather than strict separation, potentially enhancing productivity and reducing stress. Objective: The aim of this research is to further understand and explore the depiction of work-life integration (WLI) among full-time employees. Method: A quantitative approach was used with non-probability sampling techniques and purposive sampling methods involving 110 full-time employees as respondents. Results: The findings indicate that the level of work-life integration among full-time employees falls within the moderate category (M = 3.88). The work-to-life dimension shows a higher level of integration (M = 4.19) compared to the life-to-work dimension (M = 3.58). Conclusion: These findings suggest that the integration between work and personal life is at a moderate level, indicating a fairly balanced relationship between the two domains.

Abstract

Background: People living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) often face various forms of stigma while managing their illness, which makes them more vulnerable to psychological distress. However, some PLWHA demonstrate the ability to recover and adapt well, effectively managing their psychological condition—these individuals typically possess strong resilience. Objective: This study examines the relationship between resilience and psychological distress among PLWHA in Sorong City. Method: The study involved 99 male and female participants, recruited through a snowball sampling technique. Data were collected using the CD-RISC scale to measure resilience and the DASS-21 scale to assess psychological distress. A correlational quantitative method was employed, with Spearman’s rank-order correlation used for analysis. Result: The results revealed a significant correlation between resilience and psychological distress (p = 0.005; p < 0.05), with a correlation coefficient of -0.278. Conclusion: The study concludes that there is a negative relationship between resilience and psychological distress. In other words, the higher the resilience of PLWHA, the lower their likelihood of experiencing psychological distress

Abstract

Work-life balance was one of the important aspects in supporting employee productivity and well-being. Excessive workload was often the main factor disrupting this balance, negatively affecting mental health, social relationships, and individual work performance. This study aimed to analyze whether workload affected work-life balance at Institution X in Banjarmasin. The research design used a correlational quantitative approach. The population in this study consisted of 31 people, and data collection was conducted online using Google Forms. The data were then analyzed using simple linear regression analysis. The results indicated a significant negative influence of workload on work-life balance. This means that the higher the workload employees received, the lower their ability to maintain a balance between work and personal life. Based on these findings, it was recommended that the organization improve employees' work-life balance by managing workloads more evenly and providing flexible working hours, enabling employees to better maintain harmony between professional responsibilities and personal interests.

Abstract

Background: Vocational High School students face a dual burden of academic demands and practical skills oriented toward the world of work. Such pressures often lead to academic stress, anxiety, and decreased learning motivation. Academic resilience becomes an important aspect that enables students to endure, adapt, and recover from learning challenges. Objective: The aim of the study is determining the level of academic resilience of students at SMK X and to test differences in academic resilience based on gender. Academic resilience is the ability of students to survive, adapt, and bounce back from pressure or obstacles in the context of learning. Method: This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach and a different test with an instrument in the form of an academic resilience scale. The sampling technique used is a population sample where the entire population becomes participants in this study. The number of research participants is 371 SMK X students. Result: The results of the analysis show that most students have a relatively low level of academic resilience. This indicates that many students do not have adequate resilience in facing academic challenges in the school environment. In addition, the difference test shows that there is no significant difference between the academic resilience of male and female students. This finding indicates that gender factors do not significantly affect the level of academic resilience. Conclusion: Based on these results, it is recommended that schools develop psychological programs or interventions that can improve students' academic resilience without distinguishing between genders.

Abstract

Background: The increasing use of digital technology among children has raised concerns about its impact on child development. Screen time, especially in young children, is believed to influence various aspects of development, including cognitive, physical, and social skills, potentially leading to developmental delays. Objective: This study aims to examine the relationship between screen time duration and developmental delays in early childhood. Method: A quantitative approach was used, involving 164 children aged 1-3 years. After data cleaning, 121 children were selected for further analysis. Child development was assessed using the Denver Developmental Screening Test (DDST) II, and screen time was measured through questionnaires filled out by the parents. Spearman's correlation analysis was conducted to evaluate the relationship between screen time and developmental delays. Result: The analysis showed no significant relationship between screen time duration and developmental delays (p > 0.05). These findings suggest that the amount of screen exposure, whether short or long, does not directly impact developmental delays in children. Conclusion: The study concludes that while screen time may influence a child's development in various ways, it does not have a significant direct effect on developmental delays. Other factors, such as parenting styles and the child's social environment, may have a stronger influence on developmental outcomes.
