Abstract

Nowdays, the necesity of the water go up on every sectors, so that it caused the water go down because of the management is not good enough. The purpose of this study is to know the kinds of the vegetation that found in the haze, that can be benefit to suport the water availibility and conservation, to know the potency of the vegetacy as the water availibility and conservation an also to know the society role to support it. This study is started from December 2020 until March 2021 placed in haze Banfanu village, North Central Timor regency. This study is used the qualitative and quantitave method. To collect the data and analysing the writer used an interview, observation and documentation. The determination estimasy data analysing is used point center quarter method (PCQM) to count point index value (PIV), the variety index shanon winner and averrage index. This study is made on twelve simpling with the vegetation data that is pick out from the tree, pilar and seedling. The result of this study is indicated that there are 28 species in the haze at the Banfanu village that consist of 16 families from 404 individu is devided in seedling, pilar and tree. The vegetation that could be benefit the water availibility and concervation is Switenia mahagoni, Casuarina junghuniana, Syzygum aqueum, Bambusa vulgaris, Ficus benjamina, Pandanus dubius Spreng, Paraserianthes falcataria (L) Nielsen, Anacardium occidentae L, Psidium Guajava L, Timonius sericeus (Deft) K. Schum, Syzygium cimunu L. The vegetation that indicate to keep up the water avalibility concervation is Bambusa vulgaris, the vicus kind is switenia mahogani, and iti is supported by the data analysis is higher index point value to tree strata is tectona grandis with IPV 74.50% and the lower IPV is Musa paradisiaca with IPV 1.80%. The higher point value for the pilar is Gliricidia sepium with IPV 92.13% and the lower is Vachellia leucophloea with IPV 2.99%, the high IPV for seedling is Tectona grandis with IPV 46.80% and the lower is switenia mahogani L and Sesbiana grandiflora with IPV 0.90%. The variety index value Shanon Winner and the averrage index categorize is lower. The vegetacy kind in the haze of Banfanu village categorize lower variety vegetacy, bad productivities, the condition is not rateable and lower pressure, but the ratebale index happend because of the domination on the kind certain species and in generally the kind of plant that growth up is limited. In other hand, the knowledge of the society is not enough to keep the water availibility and concervation and also the vegetacy is a polemic to the society.

Abstract

Salah satu tumbuhan yang memiliki senyawa antioksidan ialah rumput laut hijau atau Ulva Lactuca banyak ditemukan di Desa Tiberias, Kecamatan Poigar, Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow, namun belum di manfaatkan untuk dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat sekitar. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah menguji bahan aktif dan aktivitas antioksidan dengan menggunakan metode DPPH. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang meliputi 3 tahap kegiatan, yaitu tahapan pertama untuk memproses penyiapan serbuk dan mengekstraks, tahap kedua yakni untuk menguji fitokimia dan uji aktivitas antioksidan, serta tahapan ketiga yakni untuk menganalisis data. Rancangan percobaan ini adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dan analisis data hasil percobaan untuk uji aktivitas antioksidan menggunakan uji One-Way ANOVA dengan program IBM SPSS statistics pada α = 0.05. Hasil uji fitokimia diperoleh ekstrak etanol 70% Ulva Lactuca menunjukkan adanya kandungan alkanoid, flavonoid, triterpenoid dan steroid. Hasil inhibisi pada etanol 70% Ulva Lactuca pada konsentrasi 25, 50, 75, dan 100 ppm secara berturut-turut menghasilkan rerata inhibisi sebesar 23.81%, 48.15%, 74.33% dan 85.05% dan rerata nilai IC50 sebesar 46.68 ppm. Sedangkan alfatokoferol yang digunakan sebagai senyawa pembanding memiliki nilai IC50 sebesar 4.44 ppm. Pada uji One-Way ANOVA diperoleh nilai sig. = 0.001 (H0 ditolak jika sig. < 0.05), sehingga H0 ditolak, dan Ha diterima. Sehingga rata-rata inhibisi dari ketiga perlakuan tersebut tidak identik (berbeda secara signifikan) atau bisa dikatakan terdapat hubungan antara konsentrasi ekstraksi dan inhibisi. Konsentrasi ekstraksi memberikan pengaruh terhadap besarnya penghambatan terhadap DPPH. Dengan demikian, ekstrak etanol 70% Ulva Lactuca memiliki aktivitas sebagai antioksidan yang efektif.

Abstract

As for the background of the research on the results of direct observations at MAN 1 Labuhanbatu, the learning outcomes of cell material biology were disappointing. The research aims to see the effect of the Problem Based Learning Model on the Improvement of Biology Learning Outcomes for class XI students. The research was conducted at MAN 1 Labuhanbatu. The study population was 35 class XI students. They were using classroom action research methods, referring to Kemmis and Taggart design models. In the initial test, the mean score was 28.57%. In the first test, it increased 62.86%. The second stage increased, the mean of the second result was found to increase to 85.71%, an increase of 22.85% from the first stage test. The improvement of student learning outcomes in class XI MAN 1 Labuhanbatu in Biology Lessons with cell material ≥ 75% was successfully achieved. So that it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model can make the learning outcomes of students in class XI MAN 1 Labuhanbatu in Biology Lessons with cell material increase significantly.

Abstract

In the learning process, lack of self-confidence and learning motivation are factors that can affect student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-confidence and learning motivation on student learning outcomes in biology subjects in Class XI MIPA SMAN 6 Tasikmalaya Academic Year 2020/2021. The method in this study used the correlational method with the population, namely all XI MIPA classes and a sample of two classes was selected using purposive sampling and selected 68 MIPA class XI MIPA 2 and XI 3 SMAN 6 Tasikmalaya students. The instrument used was a self-confidence questionnaire with 33 statement items and a learning motivation questionnaire with 27 statement items. Data were analyzed using statistical analysis correlation test product moment, simple regression and multiple regression. The results showed that (1) there was a relationship between self-confidence on learning outcomes with a correlation value of 0.403. (2) there is a relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes with a correlation value of 0.285. (3) there is a relationship between self-confidence and learning motivation on learning outcomes with a correlation value of 0.430. So it can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between self-confidence and learning motivation on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Critical thinking is an ability that must be possessed by students because critical thinking is a basic skill needed in 21st century learning. In natural sciences, the problems that are often raised are environmental problems which are related to living things. By raising general problems that occur in the environment and living things, this can be used as an aspect of discussion in biology learning, such as in heredity material which studies how the inheritance of traits is passed down from parents to offspring and evidence of inheritance, as well as studying the determinants of genetic disorders. in living things. Students' critical thinking ability is assessed based on indicators of critical thinking skills consisting of interpretation, analysis, inference, evaluation, explanation, and self-regulation.The purpose of this study is to analyze the critical thinking skill of 9th grade junior high school students at SMPN 5 Kudus in solving problems question related to heredity based on measurement that is described from indicators of critical thinking ability. Of the 26 students, the average percentage of critical thinking skills in students from the six critical thinking indicators is 81% and belongs to the high category, because of the teacher's role in directing students to be able to improve their critical thinking skills and the characteristics of critical thinking skills that each student has.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the learning motivation of class XI MA students in online biology learning in Kebumen District. This research is qualitative and quantitative research methods (mixed method). The research was conducted in public and private MA in Kebumen District. The data analysis technique was carried out by calculating the percentage of students' answers based on indicators. The results showed that: (1) students' learning motivation of MA Negeri 1 Kebumen was high with an average of 69.3%; (2) the learning motivation of students at MA Negeri 2 Kebumen is moderate with an average of 66.6%; (3) the learning motivation of the students of MA Salafiyah Wonoyoso is high with an average of 71.1%; (4) the learning motivation of MA-PK Ma'arif 1 Kebumen students is high with an average of 71.5%. The learning motivation of class XI MA students in Kebumen District is categorized as high with an average of 69.6%. This is motivated by encouragement from within students and support from people around students so that students have a high desire to succeed even though there are still students who have moderate motivation even low.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are thinking based on facts, which are meaningful, as well as thinking based on goals and reasons. Critical thinking skills are used in developing ideas from a problem. Critical thinking skills that have been studied so far are only limited to knowing whether or not the influence of the learning model on critical thinking skills at certain levels of education. No research has been found that examines the tendency of various learning models and levels of education in improving critical thinking skills. The research objectives are: (1) to determine the potential of the learning model in improving critical thinking skills, (2) to determine the factors that influence the strength or weakness of the learning model on critical thinking skills. This type of research is a meta-analytical survey of quasi-experimental research, learning model as the independent variable and critical thinking skills as the dependent variable. The data analyzed were 50 studies consisting of 2 articles, 12 theses, 29 theses, and 7 dissertations. The results showed that 47 studies had an effect on improving students' critical thinking. Most studies use innovative learning models in improving critical thinking. The learning model contains a learning syntax that contains strategies to improve critical thinking skills. The conclusion of the research is that most of the learning models in improving critical thinking skills are innovative learning models. Other factors that influence critical thinking skills are syntax excellence, teacher's ability to teach, condition, and students' intelligence.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Develop an android-based Vertebrate Zoology practicum guide for Biology Education students at UIN Alauddin Makassar, 2) Determine the level of validity of the Android-based Vertebrate Zoology practicum guide, 3) determine the practicality of the Android-based Vertebrate Zoology practicum guide, 4) determine the level of practicality of the Android-based Vertebrate Zoology practicum guide. effectiveness of the android-based Vertebrate Zoology practicum guide. This type of research is Research and Development (RnD) with the Tjeer plomp model with four stages: 1) initial investigation, 2) design, 3) realization, 4) test, evaluation, revision. Based on the level of validity of the chest practicum guide in the very valid category, which is worth 1 using the Gregory test matrix. The level of practicality of the practicum guide is in the very practical category with a score of 3.63 using an observation sheet using a guide and a score of 3.83 using an educator response questionnaire. The level of effectiveness of the practicum guide is in the very effective category with a value of 3.66. Thus the android-based Vertebrate Zoology practicum guide meets the valid, practical and effective criteria. So that it can be used in the Biology Education Laboratory of UIN Alauddin Makassar.

Abstract

The aims of this studied include: 1) to describe the validity of instagram-assisted microblogs on cell material for class XI Science at MAN 3 Jember; and 2) to describe students responses to instagram- assisted microblogs on cell material for class XI Science at man 3 Jember. The typed of researched in this researched was researched and development. The development model used was the ADDIE development model with the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This development researched was conducted at MAN 3 Jember, the data collection instruments used was interview guides and questionnaire sheets. This studied used 2 material expert validators, 2 media expert validators, 1 linguist validator, and 1 biology teacher. This researched and development concluded: 1) the results of the validation of material expert validators with an average percentage of 95%, media expert validators with an average percentage of 92%, linguistics expert validators with an average percentage of 96% and each obtained very good criteria. valid; 2) the percentage of student responses obtained an average percentage of 89% with very interesting criteria

Abstract

Kalamansi orange (Citrus microcarpa Bunge.) has the potential as a source of antimicrobials because the skin of the fruit contains flavonoid compounds, tannins, and alkaloids which have been shown to be able to inhibit the growth of gram-negative bacteria. This study aimed to obtain information on the effect of ethanolic extract of kalamansi orange peel (C. microcarpa Bunge.) on the growth of Salmonella typhi bacteria land the minimum inhibitory concentration of ethanolic extract of kalamansi orange peel (C. microcarpa Bunge.) on the growth of S. ltyphi bacteria. Experimental research with a completely randomized design, the results were analyzed using the One Way ANOVA test. Calamansi orange peel ethanol extract with concentrations of 0%, 5%, 7.5%, 10%, 12.5%, and 15% was tested for antibacterial activity against the growth of S. typhi bacteria using the disc diffusion method. The parameters observed were the diameter of the inhibition zone formed around the lpaper disc. The results of this study showed that ethanol extract of kalamansi orange peel (C. microcarpa Bunge.) had a significant effect on the growth of S. typhi bacteria, with a 95% confidence level and minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of ethanolic extract of kalamansi orange peel (C. microcarpa Bunge.) on bacterial growth. S. typhi was at a concentration of 10%, to be precise, MIC was at a concentration of 5% with an average inhibition zone diameter of 5.27 mm. The results of this study were donated in the form of student worksheets and related their role in life in the biology subject of SMA class X even semester
