Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategies used by Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in teaching prayer practices to deaf students in grade X at SKH Negeri 1 Palangka Raya. The background of this study is based on the need for adaptive learning for deaf students who have difficulty receiving verbal information, thus requiring a visual approach and methods that are appropriate to their characteristics. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative through data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that PAI teachers employ teaching strategies that emphasize the use of visual media, hands-on practice, and adapting materials to students' abilities. The methods used in teaching include lectures, writing materials on an interactive TV, videos, images, and simple sign language. Evaluation was conducted gradually through direct observation of students' prayer practices. Challenges faced include limitations in teachers' mastery of sign language and a shortage of assistant teachers, while solutions implemented include the use of simple sign language, visual media, and individual guidance. These strategies align with the principles of inclusive education and differentiated learning, but still require improvements in teachers' competencies and resource support.

Abstract

This article aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the local content curriculum of diniyah education in improving the social and spiritual values of students at SMPN 1 Peterongan. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews with the principal, Islamic education teachers, and students, as well as curriculum documentation. Data analysis used data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the local content curriculum for diniyah education is structured through activities such as learning basic texts, daily worship practices, and character training. In its implementation, diniyah education is able to shape social attitudes such as cooperation, responsibility, and tolerance among students.  From a spiritual perspective, students showed improvement in religious discipline, understanding of religious values, and personal integrity. The main factors supporting the success of this implementation were the commitment of school management, teacher competence, and active student involvement. However, several obstacles were also identified, such as limited implementation time and a lack of contextual teaching resources. This study concludes that the implementation of the local content curriculum for diniyah education has a positive influence in shaping the overall social and spiritual character of students. The researchers recommend strengthening the synergy between schools, teachers, and parents for the sustainability of the diniyah program as an integral part of character education in public schools.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of AI in improving students' critical thinking skills in Islamic Education (PAI) learning at Yosowilangun State Senior High School 01. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. Data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews with teachers and students, then analysed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results of the study show that: First, AI-based learning has the potential to improve students' critical thinking skills if it is well supervised and directed. Second, AI can help support critical thinking skills to prepare students to become a generation that is critical in solving complex problems and is suitable for widespread application in Islamic Religious Education learning. Third, the implementation of AI can support students' thinking skills. With coordinated steps, students can respond to learning more actively, and teachers need to master how to process learning steps using AI so that students become more focused and their critical thinking skills do not weaken. The contribution of this study is to provide practical understanding for educators in utilising AI in this digital era to support the improvement of students' critical thinking.

Abstract

This study intends to investigate the role of Koro-sensei as an educator in the anime Assassination Classroom using a narrative analysis approach, and to interpret it through the lens of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). In the framework of Islamic education, in addition to being a transmitter of knowledge (mu’allim), teachers are also regarded as moral and spiritual mentor (murabbi). Despite being a fictional character, Koro-sensei demonstrates the qualities of an ideal teacher, such as exemplary behavior, compassion, individualized instruction, and a willingness to sacrifice for his students’ development. This qualitative study conducts a narrative analysis of all 47 episodes of the anime and is supported by a literature review on Islamic perspectives regarding the ideal educator. The findings indicate that Koro-sensei reflects key Islamic educational values, including trustworthiness (amanah), sincerity (ikhlas), patience (sabr), empathy (ta’aruf), and wise nurturing (tarbiyah bil hikmah). Moreover, the anime presents itself as a promising contextual learning tool for PAI, especially for the digital native generation. Therefore, this study contributes to the advancement of Islamic education models that are relevant, reflective, and creative by incorporating elements of popular culture.

Abstract

This study looks at the conception of integration of knowledge, internal integration in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects and discussion of the new era of Society 5.0 as a phenomenon of the fusion of the virtual dimension of technology with the real dimension which is marked by the connection of various places through the accumulation of even distribution of information and knowledge. This has implications for the dynamics of sociological change in Indonesian society which has a variety of races, ethnicities, religions and cultures, as well as providing new challenges for the world of Islamic education. PAI learning takes place formally in real and virtual classes. This research is a qualitative research using the study literature method. This method collects information or data through books, journals or articles that are relevant to the issue being studied. The mushrooming of material content of Islamic values ??in the world of social media makes it possible for people to obtain information on Islamic knowledge without having to come to the science assembly directly. This will reap benefits and harm if it is not accompanied by a complete understanding so that scientific knowledge is still connected to the initial source, namely the learning of Islamic religious values ??brought by Rasulullah SAW.

Abstract

This article discusses the method of character education in Islamic boarding schools. This research is a library research, documentary data collection method, while the analysis uses content analysis. The results showed that character education in boarding schools proved to be more effective than in schools or madrassas, because boarding schools are able to develop students from various aspects, both in terms of intellectual, emotional and religious character building, so that the output of boarding schools is born with knowledge and morals or character. The success in shaping the character of boarding students is due to boarding students in boarding schools under the guidance and supervision of the boarding school kyai, the exemplary role model of the boarding school kyai and his authority as a religious leader at school and the learning atmosphere at school. In addition, the boarding school education process emphasises aqidah, worship and akhlak karimah with methods: exemplary, habituation, giving advice, motivation, persuasion, and stories.

Abstract

This article is a literature study that presents the process of development of Islamic education policies from the Old Order to the Reformation period. It is very important to know the study of policy developments so that it can provide a historical basis for the challenges and developments that have occurred in Islamic education policy. This research is literature, the data collection method is documentary and the analysis is content analysis.The results of this research show that: (1). A significant influence on the development of Islamic educational institutions during the Old Order was the establishment of the Department of Religion based on PP No. 1 of 1946. (2). During the New Order era, efforts were made to integrate religious and general education in 1975 through a decree of 3 Ministers with the implementation of a curriculum in schools consisting of 30% religious lessons and 70% general lessons. Apart from that, it also strengthens the equalization of diplomas from madrasah and school graduates. (3). The reform period was marked by the existence of Law 20 of 2003 which became the foundation for the implementation of religious education for the government and community groups and continued to experience development in its operational field until the birth of Islamic Boarding School Law No. 18 of 2019 which provided recognition and equality for managed Islamic education. boarding school.

Abstract

This research is aimed to analyze the implementation of religious moderation in a family and its role to shape young generation moderate behavior. The case study was conducted on a family in Ngoro (Moderation Village) Jombang, whose members come from different religious backgrounds. A qualitative approach was used with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and observation. The research results showed that that families have succeeded to implement the religious values ?? moderation through respecting differences of beliefs, increasing interfaith understanding, managing emotions wisely, opening constructive dialogue and avoiding religious coercion. This implementation has brought many positive benefits such as preventing conflict, building harmony and improving the quality of family life. Besides, the family played a very important role in shaping the younger generation moderate character through providing role models, values ??education, and cultivating a harmonious family environment even though they come from different religious backgrounds

Abstract

Listening comprehension is an active process in which the listener constructs meaning through using cues from contextual information and from existing knowledge, while relying upon numerous strategic resources to perform the task requirement, so it is very difficult to tech especially as foreign language, and needs appropriate media to teach it. This research is aimed to know whether or not Islamic film as media to teach listening effective. And what steps to teach listening using Islamic film as media. This research is mix method; the data was collected using test, questionnaire, interviews, and observation. The data then analyzed by paired sample t-test, the data had been obtained was clarified by analyzing the results of the questionnaire and in-depth interviews, and observation. The result show that there is significant difference students listening ability before and after giving film as media. As proved by the score of t account > t table using one-tailed, and degree of freedom 63 (19.516 > 1.68023, and the result of (P-Value) is also lower than alpha (0.000 < 0.05). The steps of teaching listening using Islamic film as media: First, the teacher was providing films in accordance with students' characteristic; the teacher then can skipped the one that was a bit pornographic. The next, the teacher determined time for listening subject, and created conducive atmosphere. The teacher then gave warming up to the students. After that the students were asked the teacher to watch film with subtitle. The next, the teacher asked students to note vocabulary at film that they didn’t understand the meaning, then looking the meaning on the dictionary or internet to know the meaning. The teacher then implement the film by asking students to watch film without using subtitle without being crowded. At the end of the lesson, the teacher asked some questions about the topic of the film, and evaluates them.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the concept of character education, character education materials and character education methods in the books Tahdzîb al Akhlâq by Ibnu Miskawaih and Ayyuhal Walad by Imam Al Ghazâlî. This research uses descriptive analysis methods or text analysis and the data collection technique used in this research is the literature study technique (library), and the data sources used in this research are the books Tahdzîb al Akhlâq by Ibnu Miskawaih and Ayyuhal Walad by Imam Al Ghazâlî. The results of this research show that there are similarities in the character education values ??emphasized by Ibnu Miskawaih and Al Ghazâlî, such as patience, honesty, generosity and compassion. These two books also emphasize the importance of having a sense of responsibility and social awareness in everyday life. However, there are differences in the approaches and methods used by these two figures in teaching character education. Ibn Miskawaih tends to use a philosophical approach and encourages deep self-reflection, while Al Ghazâlî prioritizes a practical approach and provides clear instructions regarding concrete actions that must be taken in developing good morals. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that character education is an important aspect in the lives of individuals and society. Through understanding and teaching the character education values ??found in these books, it is hoped that it can help in forming individuals with good morals and a better society.
