Abstract

Music is a tool for musicians to express what you want delivered. In the song "Bento" by Iwan Fals and Naniel is a very nice song and able to attract the attention of various circles. Song Iwan Fals is dominated by social criticism to the government during the New Order. Based on the analysis of the author with the study of pragmatic model Teun Van A. Djik find that song Bento is a social critique of the authorities / executives in the New Order. In this work also contains the criticism against officials who use their position to enrich themselves.

Abstract

Salah satu butir Sumpah Pemuda yang diikrarkan pada tanggal 28 Oktober 1928 adalah Bahasa Indonesia. Ikrar ini diteguhkan sebagai satu pilar kebanggaan nasional dalam meraih kemerdekaan bangsa. Bahasa Indonesia benar-benar disadari sebagai lambang jati diri bangsa dan menjadi alat pemersatu berbagai kelompok etnis ke dalam satu kesatuan bangsa. Sejalan dengan fungsinya sebagai pemersatu, Bahasa Indonesia yang dianggap belum teratur dan belum tersebar secara luas memerlukan pedoman yang disepakati bersama oleh seluruh rakyat Indonesia sebagai pemakai Bahasa Indonesia. Kesepakatan itu kemudian diperbincangkan di dalam suatu Kongres Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

Standardization of topographical names has been set up through Pepres No. 112/ 2006 and Permendagri No. 39/2008. The naming, naming both themselves and the naming of topographical strongly associated with language, culture and local history. The UN requires that the naming of topographical using local languages. Langkat consists of 23 districts with 272 villages. Based on the number of villages, researchers analyzed with reference to the naming of topographical topographical naming guidelines. The important thing is set in toponymy is the standardization of the procedure of writing the name of the geographical element. By default, the name of the geographical element consists of two parts: a generic name and a specific name. Among the 272 names of villages were analyzed only 68 (25%) village right under the guidelines of the standardization of topographical. Geographic elements and specific elements, there were 83 (30.51%) villages that use generic element names relating to geographic elements. 63 (23.16%) village by the name of the specific elements related to the adjective. 29 name of the village that use specific element with a direction of the wind and others. 12 name of the village that use specific elements of a good number are writing, numbers, and letters. The use of language, found writing the name of the village that does not refer to the guidelines for the standardization of topographical, geographical element should be written as a series with generic elements.

Abstract

Abstract :Sastra bandingan (Comparative literature) is a part of the domain or clumps of subjects in the field of literary expertise. This subject has long existed at the college as part of a study or a critical review of the literature. With a variety of approaches, research or study comparative literature today need to adjust to the times. Although still reviewing literary texts, but comparative literature still has to advance current methods. Comparative literature not only compare the intertextual literatur, but also to compare literary texts with nothing happening or are out of text and literary form. In this way, the study of comparative literature may be an attempt to maintain the existence of a national literature and local literature of siege and invasion of world literatur. Learning approach can be adapted to the curriculum-based Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (INQF) newly implemented government.Keywords : comparative literature, local literature, national literature, literary learningAbstrak :Sastra bandingan merupakan bagian dalam ranah atau rumpun mata kuliah keahlian di bidang kesastraan. Mata kuliah ini sudah lama ada pada perguruan tinggi sebagai bagian dari kajian atau telaah kritis terhadap karya sastra. Dengan berbagai pendekatan, penelitian atau kajian sastra bandingan saat ini harus mengalami penyesuaian terhadap perkembangan zaman. Meski tetap mengkaji teks-teks sastra, namun sastra bandingan tetap harus mengedepankan metode terkini. Sastra bandingan tidak hanya membandingkan antarteks sastra, tetapi juga membandingkan teks sastra dengan apa-apa yang terjadi atau terdapat di luar teks dan bentuk sastra. Dengan begini, maka pembelajaran sastra bandingan dapat menjadi satu upaya untuk mempertahankan keberadaan sastra nasional dan sastra lokal dari kepungan dan serbuan sastra dunia. Pendekatan pembelajarannya bisa disesuaikan dengan kurikulum berbasis Kerangka Kualifikasi Nasional Indonesia (KKNI) yang baru diterapkan pemerintah.Kata kunci : sastra bandingan, sastra lokal, sastra nasional, pembelajaran sastra

Abstract

Campuran kode sering terjadi karena kemampuan seseorang menguasai bahasa lebih dari satu. Penguasaan lebih dari satu bahasa ini dalam sosiolinguistik disebut bilingual atau multibahasa. Penelitian ini difokuskan  bagaimana campur code dalam dialog interaktif; parlemen berbicara di Televisi Republik Indonesia Kalimantan Barat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan campuran kode dalam dialog interaktif; parlemen berbicara di Televisi Republik Indonesia Kalimantan Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan data dengan cara permohonan permintaan sorffile ke stasiun TVRI Kalimantan Barat dalam bentuk data lunak (sorffile) tahun 2017. Kemudian, data yang telah diperoleh ditranskripsikan dan diklasifikasikan sesuai dengan kebutuhan penelitian ini. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terjadi campur kode dalam dialog interaktif; parlemen berbicara di Televisi Republik Indonesia Kalimantan Barat terdiri dari campur kode ke dalam dan ke luar. Campur kode  yang ditemukan meliputi bahasa Indonesia - Melayu dialek Pontianak, Indonesia-Melayu dialek Betawi, Indonesia - Inggris, dan Indonesia-Arab.

Abstract

Communicating is something that is absolutely necessary every individual. By communicating life will be easy. With a lot of communicating, then something will be lighter weight. With a lot of difficulty communicating anyway everything will be easily overcome. Interview is part of the communication activities. In order of social life, the interview is not new anymore. Formally, the interview will be required every time someone entering the workforce. However, any converse informally also frequently experience. With many questions to the speaker, it will be easy established good relations. So it is clear that the interview, both formal and informal, will be able to foster self-confidence of an individual. Presumably because it was also the government through the Ministry of Education put learning materials in the curriculum converse Indonesian language and literature classes X and XI SMA Negeri 1 Binjai. This means that students really prepared for a lot of interviewing, as their stock when completed high school, or in simpler language students are encouraged to practice communicating. On this basis, researchers are trying to develop a learning technique called: Improving interview skills through imaginative dialogue with student idol. Learning with imaginative dialogue is done by presenting the students idolize figures in their imagination, as well as imaginative dialogue with the idol. Having tried out in a classroom action research (classroom action research) in three cycles, then this study proved very successful. Acquisition value of the average student is very good, which is 82.8 on one cycle, 81.8 on two cycles, and 85.95 on the ketiga.Karena cycle anyway, this learning is very good and suitable for use anywhere, regardless of space and of time, because each student (every human being) must have its own idol who is usually the person who admired.

Abstract

Study of teaching learning of BIPA (Bahasa Indonesia untuk Penutur Asing) or Indonesian Language for Non Native Speakers becomes a specific and identical field in education. Balai Bahasa Medan operates BIPA class since 2009 until today; this practically shows that translation method is undeniable. The researcher and also as BIPA teacher found that process of translating applied consciousness whether by the students and also by the teacher. Translation happened from the source language (Indonesia) to English as education language practiced by the teacher, and form his mother language to Indonesian language, practiced by the student. The data of this research is words, phrases, and clauses, they are observed, collected, and analyzed. Finally, its concluded that pragmatic translation was applied by teacher and students, and specifically occurred by words, phrases, and clauses which are different colucution, routine personal pronoun, and pragmatic translation in the matter of diction.

Abstract

Ini adalah pemikiran umum bahwa kemampuan peserta didik untuk menulis di L2 tergantung pada efisiensi mereka dalam membaca. Para peneliti baru-baru ini telah mulai mengeksplorasi hubungan antara membaca dan menuli. Penelitian membaca-menulis koneksi sebagai isu yang menarik dalam bahasa Inggris untuk Keperluan Khusus ESP) akan tepat waktu karena mungkin menawarkan wawasan ke dalam transfer antar keterampilan reseptif dan produktif. Artikel ini menyelidiki kesulitan peserta didik dalam ESP membaca dan menulis dalam pencarian hubungan antara keterampilan ini. Statistik yang dikumpulkan pada data self�assessment dan pengujian dianalisis, dan implikasi yang mungkin untuk mengajar membaca dan menulis di kelas ESP dibahas lebih lanjut.

Abstract

Masyarakat Simalungun mengenal falsafah habonaran do bona dalam sistem budayanya. Habonaran do bona dapat diartikan sebagai falsafah hidup manusia Simalungun yang berpedoman pada sesuatu yang benar atau kehidupan yang berpangkal dari kebenaran yang hakiki, yakni kebenaran menurut hukum Ketuhanan yang Maha Esa. Falsafah habonaran do bona telah dikenal masyarakat sejak Belanda belum menjajah Simalungun. Di dalam falsafah ini terkandung keinginan memperoleh kebahagiaan, kesentosaan, kesejahteraan, dan kedamaian. Keinginan itu harus ditempatkan pada jalan kebenaran yang dapat dipertanggungjawabkan, baik secara manusiawi, juridis, maupun ketuhanan. Dengan kata lain, setian tindakan manusia Simalungun harus diuji dalam kebenaran yang bersumber dari kodrat manusia, hukum, dan tidak bertentangan dengan kebenaran sejati yang diturunkan Tuhan yang Maha Esa.Kata Kunci : nilai budaya, cerita rakyat, habonaran do bona

Abstract

Language is a marker of social change that occurs in society. Prescriptivism, which is more glorifying language that is considered more modern. Linguistic landscape views urban as text. The meaning is, because language is widely used in public spaces in urban areas. Linguistic landscape is the presence of language between space and place. An interdisciplinary study of the presence of various language issues that interact with other languages in the public sphere. This study describes the phenomenon of linguistic landscape in Medan in the categories of onomastics, semiotics and spatial. The method used, namely qualitative research methods. The research threat uses the linguistic landscape theory of the Landry & Bourhis (1997) model. The research findings are the use of foreign languages that dominate the landscape in Medan City. Indonesian is no longer the sole authority in a region. Found onomastical, semiotic, and spatial aspects in the linguistic landscape in the city of Medan.
