Abstract

One crucial element of managerial planning within the tourism and hospitality sector is utilizing historical data to forecast trends. This study aims to predict time series data for the Room Occupancy Rate (ROR) in Banyuwangi's starred hotels, considering that the increase in the number of tourist visits in Banyuwangi after the Covid-19 pandemic is quite high, and this is directly proportional to the Room Occupancy Rate. The study utilized Naive and Decomposition (Additive and Multiplicative) methods with time series data collected on a monthly basis from 2021 to 2023. The study compared the performance of the two methods. The study's results demonstrate that the Decomposition Method outperforms the Naïve method, with an average ROR value of 60.13% for the Additive model, along with MAD = 4.91%, RMSE = 6.708%, and MAPE = 10.85%. Similarly, the ROR value for the Multiplicative model yields a percentage of 61.26%, accompanied by MAD = 4.93%, RMSE = 6.73%, and MAPE = 10.78%. Therefore, based on this model, the ROR forecast value for the star hotels in Banyuwangi can be obtained for several month periods in the following year.

Abstract

The Jalan Kusuma Bangsa corridor is one of the corridors in the city of Surabaya which is filled with trade and service areas that have quite high activity intensity. The identity of this corridor is the Hi-Tech Mall and Taman Pemuda Surabaya. With these conditions, it is necessary to assess the friendliness of the Jalan Kusuma Bangsa road corridor using walkability analysis. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method to explore and explain the phenomenon in detail. The results of this research are the value of the walkability level of Jalan Kusuma Bangsa, Surabaya City using 7 criteria including Connected, Convivial, Conspicuous, Comfortable, Conveniet, Coexistence and Commitment.

Abstract

Perkembangan dan modernisasi sektor pertanian di Indonesia belum mengalami peningkatan pesat. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya inovasi teknologi yang dapat membantu manusia dalam proses penanaman padi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sebuah alat penanam padi dengan sistem transplanter dua jalur yang dapat dikendalikan dari jarak jauh berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) dengan memanfaatkan ESP32 Cam sebagai mikrokontroler dan dilengkapi dengan modul kamera OV2640 untuk monitoring proses penanamam yang dapat diakses menggunakan laptop atau smartphone. Hasil pengujian terhadap fungsi alat telah dilaksanakan, alat dapat beroperasi dengan baik dalam proses penanaman padi dimana alat dapat memindahkan bibit padi dari tray dan kemudian menancapkannya ke dalam lumpur dengan tingkat keberhasilan 95%. pPngujian terhadap jarak kendali maksimum menggunakan jaringan WiFi yaitu pada jarak 24 meter masih berfungsi dengan baik dan melemah mulai pada jarak 25 meter. Selanjutnya modul kamera dapat tetap melakukan streaming dengan baik ke perangkat smartphone yaitu sampai pada jarak 14 meter, dimana terjadi delay mulai pada jarak 15 meter dan video berhenti pada jarak 18 meter.

Abstract

Pakcoy plants have good potential to be cultivated. Land conversion causes a reduction in productive land so hydroponics is a solution to the problem. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of planting media types (firewood husk, cocopeat and rockwool) and AB Mix nutrient concentrations (1.000 ppm, 1.200 ppm and 1.400 ppm) on the growth and yield of pakcoy plants in hydroponic wick systems. This research was conducted in Mojokerto City using the Randomized Group Design method with 3 replications. The results of the treatment given that the type of planting media and AB Mix nutrient concentration, the treatment of cocopeat planting media type and AB Mix nutrient concentration of 1.200 ppm had an effect on plant height, number of leaves and fresh weight of pakcoy plant crowns.

Abstract

Applying the right sorting algorithm strategy is a key factor that cannot be underestimated, especially for system developers. This research aims to comprehensively analyze six sorting algorithm strategies using two programming languages, Java and Python. The sorting algorithm strategies include bubble, selection, insertion, shell, merge and quick sort. The data analysis ranged from 1000 data to 200,000 data. The results showed that the sort algorithm strategies for bubble, selection and insertion at more than 20,000 data were faster using Java than Python, while the shell, merge and quick sort strategies after more than 20,000 resulted in execution times that were not much different using both Java and Python programming languages.

Abstract

This paper studies cold thermal energy storage in a hospital building. There are six CTES strategies to implement in the building includes full storage, levelling storage, partial storage 30%, partial storage 50%, partial storage 70%, and partial storage 90%. The energy consumption, electricity cost and chiller performances are evaluated to find the optimum mode.The results showed that levelling storage found the best mode for new cooling system investment with annual savings up to 10.5%. In addition the energy consumption is considered lower than normal cooling system. The chiller capacity of partial storage 30% is closed to normal cooling, thus this strategy is the best for replacement system with the annual savings up to 13%.

Abstract

Currently, the rice milling process in Rawang Panca Arga Sub-district still uses a diesel car engine as the driving force. This machine has several drawbacks and emits harmful pollutants that are detrimental to respiratory health. Therefore, a compact and highly portable equipment was developed to meet the rice needs of farmers easily, without causing pollution. This rice milling machine uses a water pump dynamo that uses 125 Watts of electric current with a rotation of 2800 rpm and has a power of 3.28154 KW. The motor transmits its rotation using two clutches that can rotate the shaft of the penyosoh axle which is supported by two pillow block bearings. This machine has a grinding chamber with a maximum capacity of 72 kg/houre which is suitable for home-scale use.

Abstract

Various review studies on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) have provided recent insights into research trends, especially regarding e-commerce adoption. However, this study highlights the knowledge gap in TAM investigations related to e-commerce adoption in the context of small and medium enterprises (SME). Through a systematic review of 28 research articles from 2018 to 2023, the main findings show that TAM research tends to focus on developing models with external variables, especially factors from other theories or models. The main issue that is often discussed is the acceptance of e-commerce at the micro-industry scale, with surveys as the dominant research method. This study provides valuable insights and becomes an important reference for academics, professionals, and business people interested in e-commerce adoption in SMEs, highlighting key trends and issues that need further research.

Abstract

The decision to choose a residential house is an important decision that has a long-term impact, so it requires careful and objective consideration. S.A.W. Method (Simple Addictive Weighting) and Fuzzy Mamdani are two methods that can be used to evaluate alternative residential homes based on the weights and values of specified criteria. By combining these two methods, it is hoped that the Decision Support System (DSS) can provide recommendations for the best residential houses according to user preferences. By using the S.A.W method, there are three important factors that need to be considered, namely house price, house location and land area. These three factors are then analyzed again to produce decisions or recommendations regarding the choice of residential house using the Fuzzy Mamdani method. The Fuzzy Mamdani method calculation produces a value of 50 which is tested using the Matlab application showing the same value, namely 50. From these results, it can be concluded that the S.A.W and Fuzzy Logic Mamdani methods are effective and accurate in selecting residential houses.

Abstract

The high prevalence of obesity over the years has become a global concern, as obesity contributes to an increased risk of many deadly diseases, such as diabetes, heart disease, and some cancers. This condition has become a serious concern for public health authorities, researchers, and the general public. Therefore, a comprehensive and effective approach is needed to tackle this obesity problem. Machine learning can be the answer to the required approach as it offers a method to predict the risk level of obesity through identifying the risk causes quickly and accurately. Through this approach, the most influential factors in obesity risk can be identified to aid in the development of more effective prevention and intervention strategies. Understanding the correlation between risk factors and obesity will hopefully lead to better solutions in addressing global obesity.
