Abstract

The delivery service offered by the Santri Alumni Association ensures secure and efficient transportation of goods while maintaining accountability. Challenges such as data loss, errors in delivery information, complex courier task allocation, and difficulty in tracking shipments are prevalent. To address these issues, a web-based freight forwarding information management system is proposed, developed using the waterfall software development method and Unified Modeling Language (UML). This application aims to mitigate risks like data loss and errors by ensuring systematic data storage on a server. By computerizing the management of goods delivery data, the system facilitates accurate tracking of shipments and enables cost estimation. Ultimately, the implementation of this information system is expected to streamline operations at the Bondowoso Association of Santri Alumni, enhancing overall efficiency and service reliability.

Abstract

Tourism is a temporary journey made by people to a particular destination. Tourism is all activities in society related to tourists both from within and outside the area, one of which is tourism in Bondowoso district. The Bondowoso Regency Government has carried out promotions through mass media and online media such as newspapers, pamphlets and company profile websites. However, this method is not enough to provide widespread tourism information to tourists. Therefore, to make it easier for tourists to obtain tourism information, especially information about travel routes in Bondowoso City, a web-based geographic information system was created using the Dijkstra Algorithm method and the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) development method. It is hoped that by creating a geographic information system that uses this (SDLC) method, which includes tourist information features, events and nearby routes, it can help tourists get information about the tourist destinations they will visit.

Abstract

The increasing population in several countries, including Indonesia, leads to a heightened demand for food, a significant portion of which comes from animal sources. Various efforts have been made by different parties to meet the soaring demand for animal meat. Although there is a growing trend of individually managed livestock enterprises, failure risks are frequent, often resulting in suboptimal economic outcomes. Accordingly, this study aims to evaluate the factors influencing the success of livestock businesses. Furthermore, this research also intends to develop a mathematical model to predict potential profits, taking these factors into account. The framework is developed based on the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and multiple linear regression (MLR). This proposed framework is demonstrated in a pig farming business located in Wamena, Papua, Indonesia. The results indicate that out of six identified criteria, four are most significant in affecting livestock success: culture (C5), pig breed (C2), gender (C1), and physical condition (C4). Additionally, to build a mathematical model for predicting profits, a dataset comprising 44 combinations of sub-criteria has been constructed. The mathematical model shows a prediction capability of 84.3%, indicating very strong correlation. Although the livestock success evaluation model developed in this study is tested only on one type of livestock, the framework, in general, can be adopted for other types of business ventures.

Abstract

Managing inventory to be able to meet consumer orders is crucial. However, often the ordered goods are not available because the quantity ordered is less so the inventory in the warehouse is out-of-stock. The determination of the order quantity or period is often only based on intuition. This causes lost sales. CV VLJ experienced a similar thing that caused consumers to buy unavailable items to other stores. Therefore, this study aims to reduce these lost sales and minimize the total inventory costs incurred. The determination of the order quantity or period is calculated using the Q and P models along with the calculation of lost sales and total costs for all SKUs sold. Based on the results of inventory simulations, cost reductions of lost sales of 88-99% and total cost in average of 33% can be achieved compared to the actual condition.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the main health problem is stunting or dwarfism in toddlers due to chronic malnutrition. This study uses the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm to classify the stunting status of toddlers with high accuracy. The dataset for stunting cases in Indonesia, which includes 6500 data, consists of eight attributes: "Gender", "age", "birth weight", "body weight", "height", "exclusive action", "stunting" . This data was obtained from the public data Kaggle website. Preprocessing, such as data noise cleaning and data variable refinement, is a process stage. Next, the ready dataset is divided into twenty percent test data and eighty percent training data. The SVM algorithm that uses a "linear" kernel has an accuracy of 82%, precision of 80%, and recall of 86% when used to classify cases of stunting in toddlers. These results show that the SVM algorithm is very good at classifying stunting cases in toddlers. Next, the stunting classification model created was applied to a web application using the Streamlit framework.

Abstract

PT Banyuwangi Canenery Indonesia, which is based in Banyuwangi, Indonesia, has been growing and winning over a lot of clients. Up till now, the canning sector has developed and updated its infrastructure. Grills and retort baskets were erected in the gutters by PT Banyuwangi Canenery Indonesia. R&D is a term used to describe one approach to research and development.Research-related instruments used in the R&D technique include basket retorts based on Autodesk Inventor software and grill and response tests. The simulation results show that the retort basket experiences stress of 118.6 mpa to 160.2 mpa, displacement of 0.02 mm to 33.88 mm, strain of 0.002332 ul to -0.002339 ul, and a safety factor of 15 ul to 1.86 ul. While grill experienced stress of 7.302 to -6.241 mpa, displacement of 0.0159 mm to 0.03085 mm, strain of 4.733e-05 ul to -5.508e-05 ul, and safety factor of 15 ul.

Abstract

This study focuses on the modification of Vespa motorbike lighting by implementing the Aho system with Fullwave charging. The process involves replacing the regulator cable line with a Honda Tiger regulator to convert the AC lighting system to full wave. Additionally, the upgrade includes replacing the halfwave regulator with a fullwave kiprok type using 4 diode bridges to convert AC to DC current efficiently. LED lamps are also substituted for their energy efficiency and optimal performance with DC current. The research emphasizes the importance of enhancing lighting systems for motorcycle safety and compliance with traffic regulations. The findings highlight the benefits of these modifications in improving lighting efficiency and overall safety for Vespa motorbike users.

Abstract

The type of alternative energy that can be used to replace non-renewable energy is biomass. Researchers will focus on making biomass, namely making charcoal briquettes from candlenut shell waste and wood sawdust, where these two basic materials have very good potential to be used as basic materials for making charcoal briquettes. Each material is carbonized to become charcoal. The carbonized charcoal is uniform in size to 60 mesh. Candlenut shell charcoal and sawdust charcoal are mixed in a ratio of 9:1, 8:2, 7:3, 6:4, 5:5 and arpus adhesive 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 grams. The briquette samples are molded and dried. The research results obtained the highest fixed carbon value from a 9:1 composition with 15gram adhesive of 73.77% and a calorific value of 5375.25 cal/g. These results have met quality standards according to SNI No.1/6235/2000.

Abstract

The Society 5.0 Era's technology development has shifted marketing communication from face-to-face to screen interaction, like online shopping via e-commerce. According to Statista Market Insight data, e-commerce users in Indonesia reached 178.94 million in 2022, with transactions totaling Rp476.3 trillion. Despite its growth, e-commerce is prone to cybercrime, with 16,845 reports to the National Police's Ditipideksus from 2017 to 2020. This research analyzes public sentiment on e-commerce security through Play Store and App Store comments. The Naïve Bayes model shows an accuracy of 80% on the Play Store and 87% on the App Store, with AUCs of 0.864 and 0.942, respectively, indicating excellent sentiment classification performance. The findings aim to help B2C e-commerce providers enhance security through advanced technologies, user education, fraud detection systems, and improved transparency and response to security incidents, thereby increasing user trust.

Abstract

A river is an open channel that has the function of holding and flowing water from upstream to downstream and to the estuary. The Banjarkemantren River in Buduran District is located close to industrial areas. Pollution index and water quality status refers to the Decree of the Minister of Environment No. 115 of 2003. The highest pH at sampling points AI 3 and AI 4 was 7.9. The Pb content has the same results, namely 0.038 mg/L. This value does not exceed the quality standard limit based on Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001 concerning Water Quality Standards. Determined water quality status. using the Pollution Index method. The quality status of each sample is in "Good" condition (1.0 <Plj ≤ 5.0). The water quality status of the Banjarkemantren river is in the good category.
