Jawa Timur memiliki lahan marginal yang cukup luas, salah satunya di Kabupaten Sampang umumnya lahan marginal memiliki ciri kurang subur dan defisit air. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kesesuaian lahan untuk tanaman wijen di Kabupaten Sampang. Evaluasi kesesuaian lahan dilakukan dengan overlay peta tematik kemudian setelah terbentuk peta komposit hasil analisis beberapa peta tematik, kemudian dicocokkan (matching) dengan kriteria yang dipersyaratkan yaitu sangat sesuai (S1), cukup sesuai (S2), sesuai marginal (S3) dan tidak sesuai (N). Sub parameter kesesuaian lahan terdiri dari penggunaan lahan, jenis tanah, curah hujan dan kelerengan. Hasil penilaian kesesuaian lahan menunjukkan bahwa luas lahan yang sesuai untuk tanaman wijen (S1, S2, dan, S3) mencapai 105,807.39 ha atau 85.79% dari total luas wilayah, sedangkan wilayah lahan yang tidak sesuai untuk tanaman wijen hanya mencapai 17,522.60 ha atau 14.21% dari total luas wilayah.

The existence of this industry in Sidoarjo has the negative potential impact to the environment, namely the accumulation of heavy metals in paddy fields. The magnitude of the impact that can be caused by the presence of lead heavy metals, research is needed that is expected to provide information related to the concentration and distribution of lead on land in Sidoarjo district. The distribution will later be elaborated by mapping using Geographic Information Systems. The purpose of this research is to identify the potential distribution of lead heavy metals in soil and soil in Sidoarjo paddy fields and the potential impact of lead accumulation on the environment. Samples taken were soil in the paddy fields, with 18 location points. The method used in the identification of lead distribution in paddy fields in Sidoarjo district is survey and laboratory testing, where the pattern of lead content distribution in paddy fields is carried out using spatial analysis with the spline with barrier method Arcgis 10.1. The highest distribution of lead content in paddy fields in Wonoayu District, 0.46 ppm. The highest dominant distribution pattern of lead pollution in paddy fields is Wonoayu and Waru sub-districts.

This service aims to design training and product photos to increase the production of sponge sandals by aldiva sponge sandal craftsman partners located in Karangrejo Village, Bangil District, Pasuruan Regency. So far, the designs are based on the designs and models of sandals from consumers. Partners do not yet have the characteristics of their own sandal designs and models because human resources in the production department do not yet have the expertise to develop sandal model designs. In addition, the photos uploaded on social media as marketing media are classified as ordinary so that they are less attractive to consumers. This activity uses a contextual approach method, namely the speaker explains the theory first, then proceeds with the practice of taking photos of sandal products by taking the right angle by partners. The results obtained during the training were enthusiastic participants and gained new knowledge.

The need for raw materials increase with increasing drug utilization of traditional medicine is increasing. Gendola is one type of potential medicinal plants, which have two varieties of the red gendola (Basella rubra L.) and white gendola (Basella alba L.). Saponin is one of the secondary metabolites from plants gendola. Appropriate planting medium is also a prerequisite of success, especially crop cultivation in containers. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect and compare the composition of growing media on growth and saponin content in two varieties of plants gendola.The study was conducted in a plastic house agriculture Faculty of University orchard trial Trunojoyo Madura University Madura College of Agricultural Experiment Garden Trunojoyo Madura which lies at an altitude of ± 3 meters above sea level. The study began in November 2011 until Februari 2012. The method used was a factorial experiment based Randomized Design (CRD) with three replicates consisting of two treatment factors, the first factor is gendola different varieties of plants and the second factor is the combination of different growing.The result showed that the treatment plant varieties and combinations of place influende on plant length, leaf number, leaf area, all part plant fresh weight and all part plant dry weight. Red gondolas varieties yield components of growth, biomass weightand content of saponins in the leaves is high. Growing composition 1 : 1 (½ sections of land: ½ cow manure) gave the highest growth component in plant fresh weight and all part plant dry weight. Treatment plant varieties and combination of composition of saponin in the leaves but a very real influence on each treatment factor. The highest saponin content of the red varieties while growing composition 2 : 1 (2/3 parts soil : 1/3 cow manure) and the planting composition 1 : 2 1/3 part of land : 2/3 cowmanure) gives the value highest. Control treatment is growing composition 1: 0 (1part soil : cow dung manure 0) gives the lowest value on the saponin content of leaves.

Increasing in volume and activity of motor vehicles cause to increasing in gasoline consumption and air pollutants such as lead (Pb). The lead in the ambient environment will be deposited to the soil and absorbed by plants. The study was conducted to assess the lead content in soil and rice plant at rice field at Lamongan that caused by motor vehicles activities. The motor vehicles activities along Lamongan boulevard were identified and assess to lead emission. The deposition of lead from ambient were observed to soil, and rice plant at the road side (north and south) for 100, 1000, and 2000 m, and analyzed befor and after rice planting. The Lead content in rice plants highest at north side of 100 m, while the lowest was found in rice plant south side with a distance of 2000 m. Lead content in the highest rice bean found in rice plant north side of 100 m, while the lowest was found in rice paddies south side of the road a distance of 2000 m.

Berbek Industrial Estate is the largest industrial area in Sidoarjo Regency. The most dominant concentration of heavy metals in industrial areas is chromium in water and sediments in rivers which have the potential to have a negative impact on humans, this is because rivers are a place for developing aquatic organisms including fish that are consumed by local residents. Parameters include chromium content in river water and sediment. Spatial distribution analysis uses the kriging method on laboratory results and overlay to describe the distribution map. The result of the highest content in water parameters is the location of Gedongan Village at 0.31 ppm. Based on Peraturan Pemerntah Republik Indonesia Nomor 82 Tahun 2001 on Water Management and Pollution Control, states that the environmental quality standard for chromium in class III rivers is 0.05 mg/L. The highest content in sediment is the Berbek location at 3.24 ppm.

Berbek Industrial Area is the largest industrial area in Sidoarjo Regency. One of the environmental impacts of industrial activities is water quality. One of the water quality is pollution in the sediment. This study aims to map and analyze the pattern of the spatial distribution of cadmium in sediments which can provide information on distribution in the area and the potential impact of lead accumulation on the environment. The samples taken were sediments from rivers in the area of the Berbek industrial area, Waru District, Sidoarjo Regency. The method used is a survey and laboratory tests. The distribution pattern of lead content in the waters was carried out using spatial analysis by the Arcgis 10.1 program kriging interpolation method. The result of pollution with the highest cadmium content was in the Berbek Region, namely 1.36 ppm. The highest distribution of sediment cadmium content is in the Wadungasri area. The Wadungasri area is a dense industrial area.

First step towards agricultural development that is based on the concept of efficiency to gain a comparative and competitive advantage in the face of competition both at regional and global levels. Geographic Information System program so that the distribution of food crop commodities in Sidoarjo Regency is obtained. The data analysis in this study includes the identification of the potential and characteristics of the basic commodity agribusiness which is carried out to determine the potential of the base commodity using the Location Quotient (LQ) method. The sub-district which is considered superior for food crop commodities is Prambon District with its food crops, namely rice, corn, green beans and soybeans. The LQ value for food crops is one basic commodity in Sidoarjo Regency, namely is paddy.

Aktivitas manusia dan industri menjadi salah satu sumber pencemaran lingkungan perairan. Indeks Pencemaran (IP) dapat digunakan untuk menilai tingkat pencemaran air. Terletak di dekat sektor perumahan dan industri, Sungai Banjarkemantren adalah salah satu dari beberapa sungai di Kecamatan Buduran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menerapkan teknik indeks pencemaran pada Sungai Banjarkemantren untuk mengklasifikasikan pencemaran sungai berdasarkan kadar Total Suspended Solid (TSS) dan Total Dissolved Solid (TDS). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pengambilan sampling air sungai Banjarkemantren Kecamatan Buduran. Parameter TSS dan TDS menggunakan perhitungan IP untuk mengetahui kategori tingkat pencemaran air Masing-masing kawasan terdapat 5 titik pengambilan sampel. Peningkatan kapasitas produksi UKM Dimar kerupuk kulit ikan kakap melalui upgrade alat produksi dapat meningkatkan daya saing dan pemasaran. Proses pengeringan yang masih mengandalkan sinar matahari seringkali terhambat saat musim hujan. Penggunaan alat pengering kerupuk dengan konsep Internet of Things (IoT) dapat mengatasi masalah ini guna meningkatkan efisiensi dan kualitas produk. Metode pelaksanaan yaitu pengadaan alat pengering kerupuk dan alat IoT, pemasangan alat IoT pada alat pengering kerupuk, pembuatan website untuk mitra, pelatihan media pemasaran dan pengisian konten website, dan pelatihan penggunaan alat pengering kerupuk berbasis IoT. Hasil pelaksaan pengabdian adalah mitra dapat mempersingkat waktu pengeringan. Rata-rata efisiensi waktu dengan adanya sistem pengering berbasis IoT sebesar 60%. Selain implementasi IoT pada alat pengering kerupuk, pembuatan website dan pelatihan pemasaran juga menjadi langkah kunci untuk mendukung pertumbuhan UKM Dimar. Kombinasi ini membuat UKM Dimar dapat mencapai audiens yang lebih luas, meningkatkan penjualan, dan tetap bersaing di pasar kerupuk yang semakin kompetitif.
