Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that affects children's physical and cognitive development. This research aims to develop dry noodles made from taro flour, mocaf and spirulina as an alternative nutritious food for the prevention of stunting. Variations in the composition of taro flour and mocaf (60%:40%) with the addition of spirulina (2%) produced the best product with a protein content of 10.72%, carbohydrate content of 74.91% and moisture content of 6% according to SNI standards for dry noodles. Organoleptic tests showed that the sample was the most preferred by the panelists based on taste, texture, aroma, colour and crispness. Spirulina fortification contributed significantly to increasing the protein content and giving the product its characteristic green colour. This innovation is expected to help meet the nutritional needs of stunted children, support local food sustainability and reduce dependence on imported ingredients

Abstract

Every company generally has problems about the company's inventory control system. The ability to meet demand with the right amount, time and location. Common models such as EOQ / EPQ are often used in inventory planning and control. The assumption of using this model requires cost and demand data that must be known and fixed. So that in solving inventory system problems sometimes there is a lack of information about similar data. So the development is needed to adjust to the conditions and industrial environment. One is an integration model between suppliers and buyers that results in lot sizes that minimize total inventory costs. Then it can be done an integration between suppliers and buyers by using fuzzy. This Model is designed to overcome the uncertainty of demand by describing it in the form of triangular fuzzy numbers. The results of the research using this method and involving an iterative approach obtained optimal results where the production quantity was 57,07 units and the delivery frequency was 3 times so that it could minimize the total inventory cost with a total cost of $242,05.

Abstract

Bagasse ash has pozzolanic properties which contain chemical compounds in the form of Silica (SiO2) and act as fillers and Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) plastic has the same plastomer properties as asphalt thermoplastic properties. Both of these wastes can be used as substitute materials for the Laston AC-WC mixture. This exploration aims to determine the effect of adding sugarcane bagasse ash and LDPE plastic on the characteristics of the Laston AC-WC mixture. The variations in the levels of bagasse ash added were 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% of the filler weight and LDPE 5%, 5.55%, and 6% of the total asphalt weight. After the Marshall test was carried out, the Laston AC-WC mixture with the addition of bagasse ash and LDPE could increase the stability value compared to the asphalt mixture without the addition of waste. The optimum asphalt content value is found in a mixture of 75% bagasse ash and 6% LDPE content because it has the highest stability value and other Marshall test values are in accordance with the 2019 Hot Asphalt Mix Design and Implementation Guidelines for Utilizing Plastic Waste.

Abstract

Both inventory shortages and excess inventory are among the issues encountered in inventory management. Lost sales are one of the impacts caused by inventory shortages. Retail Store X often experiences lost sales due to inventory shortages, such as cigarettes. Fluctuating demand and supplier terms make it difficult for this store to determine the order quantity sent to the supplier. Therefore, this research aims not only to minimize the number of stockouts but also complying with the supplier's requirement which is often disregarded in other research. The number of cigarettes that must be ordered must meet the minimum purchase under the agreed cooperation contract and the budget of Retail Store X that has been determined. This problem is solved using the periodic review system method, which relies on three parameters for the decision-making. This method calculates the order quantity for 10 cigarette products and then simulates over the next month to determine the number of stockouts that occur. Based on the results, one stockout incident was found for Tawang cigarettes amounting to two packs. Besides, the supplier requirement condition from the second supplier is also met and the purchase budget is fulfilled, which is below Rp450,000.00.
