Abstract

Some pregnant women may experience discomfort in the third trimester due to physiological reasons. Urination, pain in the pit of the stomach, weariness, and pain in the back and waist area are common complaints. A pregnant woman's psychology changed from anxiety and stress to a condition-conceived baby till she was terrified to confront labour. Inconvenience during pregnancy, if not well managed, can cause psychological distress in the mother. Prenatal yoga can help pregnant women who are nervous about their pregnancy overcome their pain. The goal of this review's scoping is to examine the usefulness of deep prenatal yoga in overcoming changes in physiological causes of discomfort in the third trimester of pregnancy. In the article, there is a scoping review. The PRISMA approach is used to identify published articles over the last five years (2019-2023) via ProQuest, SAGE Journal, Science Direct, and Cochrane and produce eight suitable journals. According to the findings, practising yoga during pregnancy can help moms overcome a variety of disruptions or inconveniences that can occur during the third trimester of their pregnancy. Prenatal yoga is a non-pharmacological therapy that can be administered to a pregnant mother in her third trimester to improve sleep quality, reduce anxiety, relieve back pain, and facilitate the process of labour stage II.

Abstract

Breast models are one of the learning media used by simulated patients in midwifery care practicums. Simulated patients' perspective is a new understanding in the selection of learning media. It is hoped that the results of the reflection carried out by the simulation patient can be used for the procurement of laboratory equipment and the development of designing learning models that are lower cost but have good effectiveness. This study aims to obtain group reflections from simulation patients regarding breast models used by simulation patients for midwifery cares scenario. This research is conducted by descriptive-analytic research. The sample in this research is the total population of the simulated patients in one midwifery school in Jakarta (24 respondents). Data collection was carried out through questionnaires. There are 3 breast models. We coded these three models into A, B, and C. The research results show that based on model function indicators, model B has a better function with a mean of 4.00 compared to model A (mean 3.18) and model C (mean 3.93). Based on model design, model B is also considered to have the best design (mean 3.67) compared to models A and C. The results of this study show that the most recommended model to use is model B (91.6%), followed by model C (66.7%) and model A (50%). The simulation patient recommends that the use of breast models should meet several criteria such as ethical norms, the weight of the model, the flexible nature of the model, ease of use, and comfort, it can be combined with other learning models, and students are not afraid to use it without worrying about damaging it.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a major health problem that causes an extraordinary number of incidents in Indonesia.. Fever is an infectious disease that still infects people throughout the world. The aim of this research is to analyze the prevention of dengue fever in society, especially in the Majalengka Regency. The research used is qualitative research, using phenomenological methods. Phenomenology requires seeing and hearing deeper explanations of events as well as personal understanding of these events. Based on the findings of the study, prevention of dengue fever in the community, particularly in Majalengka Regency, is as follows: 1) Early Warning and Prevention System for Dengue Fever, PSN is a safer, more affordable and easier eradication technique. Efforts to control dengue fever vectors are mostly directed at this program because it is government policy, although the success of this approach is very dependent on community involvement; 2) The Role of the Family in Preventing DHF, 89.1% of those surveyed said they did not take any preventive measures. DHF is recommended because the majority of respondents maintain water reservoirs with existing plants, there are cans scattered in the yard and house, there are larvae in the water reservoirs, the water reservoirs are not closed, and mosquitoes develop; 3) Carrying out tracking and assessment. From the results of in-depth interviews, it shows that the implementation of monitoring and evaluation is not good, where the implementation is only 45%. Informants from the health service and the Community Health Center gave the answer: carrying out monitoring and evaluation.

Abstract

Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) is a serious problem that is often experienced by Hemodialysis (HD) patients. Some nonpharmacological therapies can be done to reduce RLS symptoms such as stretching exercises, aerobics, cool dialysate therapy, Physical Activity Therapy (PAT) , reflexology, and aromatherapy massage. This literature review aims to determine the effect of Physical Exercise Intervention (PEI) in reducing RLS symptoms in patients undergoing HD including the type of movement, exercise duration, and frequency. Data were collected from PUBMED, Science Direct, Proquest, Ebscohost, CNBI, and e-resources with a total of 522 articles. These articles were limited to the criteria of English language and experimental design within the last 10 years.  Physical Exercise Intervention could be applied with RLS including stretching exercises and aerobic exercises based on seven selected articles. Meanwhile, the most appropriate PEI duration was 30-40 minutes and the most appropriate PEI  frequency was three times per week. The most widely used instrument to assess the degree of RLS was the international Restless Legs Syndrome Severity Scale (IRLS). PEI is effective in reducing RLS of hemodialysis patients. The most factors contribute to the effectiveness of PEI are the type of movement, the duration of exercises, and the frequency of exercises performed.
