Abstract

Reading comprehension is one of English aspect that is not easy to be learned. When doing observation at SMP Negeri 12 Parepare, the researcher found that the students’ reading comprehension was low. It was caused by the unsatisfied of the teacher’s technique in teaching learning process. The researcher has suggested a technique namely guessing game to solve the problems. Then, the objective of this research is to find out whether or not the use of guessing game able to improve the students' reading comprehension. The researcher applied quasi-experimental method, with two group pre- test and post- test design. The samples in this research consisted of 40 students from two classes. The first is experimental class handled through guessing game and the second is control class handled through think pair share. It is taken from the population of the eight grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Parepare. The researcher used cluster random sampling technique. The result of the data analysis shows that the students’ reading comprehension improved significantly. It was showed that the mean score of pre-test was 46.66 and post-test was 72.33. It proves that the use of contextual guessing technique can improve the reading comprehension of the eight grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Parepare. After analyzing the data by using SPSS ver. 21.0, the result of t-test value was 2.394. In this case, t-test value was (2394) was higher than t-teble value (2040). It means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.

Abstract

Dayak sebutan atau suku bagi penduduk asli pulau Kalimantan, Dayak Banyadu terkenal mempunyai ciri khas berbagai macam budaya sendiri, Dayak Banyadu memiliki perbedaan budaya dari budaya-budaya etnis lainnya, keadaan inilah yang selalu menarik untuk amati khususnya dalam konteks adat istiadat Dayak Banyadu. Penulis ingin melihat bagaimana adat istiadat yang terdapat pada suku Dayak Banyadu. Penelitian ini menyajikan hasil yang didapatkan dilapangan di Kabupaten Bengkayang. Data tersebut diperoleh dari sumber surveidilapangan dan melakukan wawancara. Adat istiadat Dayak Banyadu memiliki perbedaan dan keunikan tersendiri dapat ditemukan pula persamaan pada beberapa unsur cara adat.  Adat istiadat kematian memperlihatkan bagaimana Kematian dianggap sebagai hal yang sakral, penting dan berharga dalam siklus kehidupan manusia. Tradisi suku Dayak Banyadu dalam proses kematian bentuk dari nenek moyang yang diturunkan ke generasi muda pada proses adat kematian memiliki kepercayaan yang sakral apabila dilanggar tata cara proses kematian Terdapat prosesi yang dilakukan apabila ada yang eninggal, dan dilakukannya adat istiadat ini dimulai dari sebelum orang yang meninggal dimakamkan hingga dimmakamnya. Kedua proses adat istiadat kelahiran dan kematian menjadi salah satu bentuk tradisi suku Dayak Banyadu dari nenek moyang hingga turun ke generasi muda saat ini dan dipercayai menjadi sakral bagi suku Dayak Banyadu. Tradisi kelahiran ini dikhususkan pada seorang ibu yang hamil hingga melahirkan. Mereka akan melewati ritual dan larangan-larangan pada saat mengandung hingga melahirkan, baik itu larangan untuk memakan makanan yang tidak baik untuk kesehatan ibu dan anak hingga kegiatan keseharian yang tidak boleh dilakukan.

Abstract

The utilization of solar energy is commonly achieved through solar panels; however, heat dissipation from the panels often reduces their overall efficiency. A hybrid system combining solar panels and thermoelectric generators (TEGs) offers a potential solution to this issue. To enhance the temperature difference (∆T) across the TEG, a metal plate can be added to the hot side, while a heatsink is applied to the cold side. This study investigates the performance of three prototype configurations: a 2.4 Wp monocrystalline solar panel integrated with a TEG module, with variations in the addition of a copper plate, an aluminum plate, and no plate on the TEG hot side. Experimental results demonstrate that the prototype with a copper plate yielded the highest average values, with a ∆T of 8.63 °C, voltage of 11.57 V, current of 0.17 A, and power output of 2.02 W. In comparison, the aluminum plate prototype achieved a ∆T of 6.11 °C, voltage of 11.57 V, current of 0.16 A, and power output of 1.71 W, while the prototype without any plate produced a ∆T of 5.80 °C, voltage of 10.79 V, current of 0.15 A, and power output of 1.63 W. Among all tested configurations, the copper plate prototype exhibited superior performance, attributed to the high thermal conductivity of copper, which significantly enhances the ∆T across the TEG, thereby increasing electrical output.

Abstract

Adolescence is an important developmental stage where individuals begin to form their social identity, which is influenced by various surrounding environments. This research aims to analyze the factors that influence social attitudes in socializing among class IX students at Nurul Ihsan Islamic Middle School, Siantan Hilir, Pontianak City. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques usd are data collection, data reduction, and data presentation. The research results show that students' social attitudes are formed from the interaction of various factors, namely the family environment (parenting patterns, communication, harmony), school (relationships with teachers and friends, extracurricular activities, social climate), society (social norms and social involvement), and social media (duration of use and type of content). The dominant social attitudes shown by students include empathy, cooperation, tolerance and respect. However, behavior was also found that did not support social interaction, such as impoliteness, difficulty adapting, and minimal social participation. This research emphasizes the importance of collaboration between family, school and community in forming positive social attitudes in adolescents. These findings are contextual and cannot be widely generalized due to the limited number of informants and the research location being limited to one school.

Abstract

Some pregnant women may experience discomfort in the third trimester due to physiological reasons. Urination, pain in the pit of the stomach, weariness, and pain in the back and waist area are common complaints. A pregnant woman's psychology changed from anxiety and stress to a condition-conceived baby till she was terrified to confront labour. Inconvenience during pregnancy, if not well managed, can cause psychological distress in the mother. Prenatal yoga can help pregnant women who are nervous about their pregnancy overcome their pain.The goal of this review's scoping is to examine the usefulness of deep prenatal yoga in overcoming changes in physiological causes of discomfort in the third trimester of pregnancy. In the article, there is a scoping review. The PRISMA approach is used to identify published articles over the last five years (2019-2023) via ProQuest, SAGE Journal, Science Direct, and Cochrane and produce eight suitable journals. According to the findings, practising yoga during pregnancy can help moms overcome a variety of disruptions or inconveniences that can occur during the third trimester of their pregnancy. Prenatal yoga is a non-pharmacological therapy that can be administered to a pregnant mother in her third trimester to improve sleep quality, reduce anxiety, relieve back pain, and facilitate the process of labour stage II.

Abstract

Toko Ezie, a retail business in Nanga Bulik, Lamandau Regency, Central Kalimantan, specializesin selling furniture, household appliances, and bedroom accessories. Established in 2010, TokoEzie still manages its operations manually, particularly in sales recording, inventory management,and financial tracking. This manual system causes problems such as data inconsistency, recordingerrors, and operational inefficiencies. This research aims to analyze the requirements and benefitsof implementing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, specifically the Point of Sale(POS) module, to improve Toko Ezie's operational efficiency and effectiveness. This study uses aqualitative descriptive approach with a case study method. Data were collected throughinterviews, observations, and documentation from the owner and staff of Toko Ezie. The researchfindings indicate that the implementation of an Odoo-based ERP system in the POS module willautomate sales processes, monitor stock in real-time, and streamline financial recording. Theintegration between the POS, inventory, and financial modules is expected to minimize manualerrors, improve data accuracy, and optimize customer service. This ERP implementation isanticipated to provide a long-term solution for enhancing the business performance of Toko Ezie.

Abstract

Seiring dengan banyaknya UMKM yang telah ada di Indonesia dan juga perkembangan zaman dengan teknologi yang lebih canggih, maka teknologi menjadi alat untuk membantu kemajuan UMKM negara. Salah satu UMKM yang berada di lingkungan Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya bernama “Kantin Enca”. Berdasarkan wawancara yang telah dilakukan, bahwa UMKM tersebut mengalami kendala dalam pencatatan transaksi manual dan sering terjadi pesanan terlewat sehingga berpotensi pada kerugian dan bangkrut. Berdasarkan latar belakang masalah tersebut, dirancang aplikasi pemesanan berbasis website yang bertujuan untuk mempermudah pelanggan untuk mengakses informasi, meningkatkan daya tarik UMKM, dan efisien terhadap waktu serta hemat biaya

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membantu restoran Steakzone meningkatkan efisiensi operasional dan pengelolaan keuangan melalui penggunaan Sistem Informasi Akuntansi (SIA) berbasis aplikasi BeePOS. Sebelum menggunakan sistem ini, pencatatan transaksi dilakukan secara manual, sehingga sering terjadi kesalahan dan prosesnya menjadi kurang efisien. Dengan pendekatan observasi langsung, desain, dan konfigurasi sistem, BeePOS berhasil diterapkan dengan baik. Aplikasi ini memiliki fitur unggulan, seperti pencatatan transaksi secara real-time, pengelolaan inventaris, dan pelaporan keuangan otomatis. Fitur-fitur tersebut mempermudah proses bisnis, meningkatkan transparansi keuangan, dan memastikan data yang tercatat lebih akurat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem BeePOS efektif dalam mengatur transaksi, mengelola diskon, dan membuat laporan keuangan. Implementasi ini mendukung pengawasan operasional yang lebih baik serta membantu pengambilan keputusan yang lebih strategis. Selain itu, solusi ini juga dapat menjadi inspirasi bagi UMKM di sektor kuliner lainnya untuk memanfaatkan teknologi dalam mengatasi tantangan pencatatan transaksi dan pengelolaan keuangan manual.

Abstract

Kebudayaan Nusantara merupakan warisan budaya bangsa Indonesia yang kaya dan beragam, namun terjadi tantangan besar yang disebabkan arus globalisasi dan rendahnya minat generasi muda terhadap literasi budaya lokal. Penelitian ini mencoba menjawab persoalan tersebut dengan merancang sebuah game board interaktif bernama “Papan Nusantara” yang dirancang khusus untuk siswa sekolah dasar usia 10–12 tahun. Penelitian dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner terhadap 25 siswa kelas V SD Swasta IKAL Medan, serta didukung data sekunder dari literatur, ensiklopedia budaya, dan studi relevan lainnya. Analisis menggunakan metode 5W+1H membantu memetakan kebutuhan serta merumuskan strategi desain yang tepat. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa permainan ini tidak hanya membuat siswa lebih antusias, tetapi juga membantu mereka memahami keberagaman budaya Indonesia dengan cara yang menyenangkan dan kompetitif. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pendekatan kreatif melalui media permainan dapat menjadi jembatan efektif antara pendidikan formal dan pelestarian kebudayaan Nusantara.

Abstract

Abstract: The pattern of medication consumption during Ramadan, which previously could be done throughout the day, must be adjusted to only within a range of approximately 10.5 hours each day. Therefore, adjustments are needed in the medication schedule so that the effectiveness of the treatment is as expected. The method used for health education is participatory education using PowerPoint (PPT) media. The PPT media contains accurate, interesting, and interactive information so that listeners can focus on the information being presented. Health education on “Medication Use During Fasting Month” was held at the Outpatient Pharmacy Depot of the Idaman Banjarbaru Regional General Hospital on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. WITA, ending with an open discussion through a question and answer session. Based on the discussion results, many patients were unaware of the proper rules for taking medication during the fasting month, and patients also felt afraid that using special medical devices during fasting might invalidate their fast. Keywords: Health Education, Ramadhan, Fasting, Drug use   Abstrak: Pola konsumsi obat di bulan Ramadhan yang sebelumnya dapat dilakukan sepanjang hari harus disesuaikan menjadi hanya dalam rentang waktu sekitar 10,5 jam setiap harinya. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penyesuaian dalam jadwal penggunaan obat agar efektivitas pengobatan sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Metode yang digunakan saat edukasi kesehatan adalah metode edukasi partisipatif dengan media Power Point (PPT). Media PPT berisi informasi yang akurat serta menarik dan interaktif sehingga pendengar dapat fokus terhadap informasi yang sedang diberikan. Edukasi kesehatan mengenai “Penggunaan Obat di Bulan Puasa” dilaksanakan di Depo Rawat Jalan Instalasi Farmasi RSD Idaman Banjarbaru pada hari Senin, 10 Maret 2025 pukul 10.00-10.30 WITA yang diakhiri dengan diskusi terbuka melalui sesi tanya jawab. Berdasarkan hasil diskusi, banyak pasien yang belum mengetahui terkait aturan minum obat yang tepat di bulan puasa dan pasien juga merasa takut jika melakukan pengobatan dengan alat khusus selama berpuasa akan membatalkan puasa.
