Abstract

Based on data from the Pujud Health Center, it is known that the achievement of the Exclusive Breastfeeding program in 2021 is 33.2%. This is still far below the target of the Ministry of Health's Strategic Plan (Renstra) which is 60%. This study aims to obtain information on how to implement the Exclusive Breastfeeding Program at the Pujud Health Center in 2021. This research was conducted in Pujud Selatan Village from April to May 2022. This type of research is a qualitative research using case studies. The informant retrieval technique was purposive sampling with a total of 14 informants consisting of 4 people as key informants and 10 people as supporting informants. Collecting data using observation and in-depth interviews and processed using the triangulation method. The results showed that the implementation of the exclusive breastfeeding program had not run optimally. This is due to several factors such as: the absence of policies/regional regulations (Perda) that regulate exclusive breastfeeding, the absence of supporting facilities and infrastructure, and the absence of a budget for exclusive breastfeeding program activities, counseling using the lecture method, the implementation of Breastfeeding Initiation has not been implemented. Dini (IMD), and lack of monitoring and evaluation (MONEV). The conclusion of this study is that the achievement of the Exclusive Breastfeeding program at the Pujud Health Center is still low, judging from the input indicators (policy, infrastructure and budget) that have not been supported, process indicators (extension, IMD implementation, and Monev) implementation that has not been optimal. Suggestions from this research are the need to make a regional policy/regulation, especially in the Rokan Hilir Regency area to support the Exclusive Breastfeeding program

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that remains unresolved in Indonesia, in which Indonesia ranked third in stunting prevalence in the Southeast Asia region, reaching to 36.4%. During the COVID-19 pandemic, stunting prevalence can be decreased by implementing the clean and healthy living behavior. Unfortunately, community’s awareness regarding the importance of the clean and healthy living behaviors is lacking. The results of a survey done to 5 mothers of toddlers aged 12-59 months showed that they washed their hand improperly. They often washed their hands before and after eating only using water without soap, not washing their hands before breastfeeding, and not using running water. This study examined the relationship between the clean and healthy living behavior implementation in the household with stunting prevalence during the COVID-19 pandemic at Bolo Health Center. This quantitative research was performed using a cross sectional design, involving 71 randomly-selected mothers of toddlers at the Bolo Health Center. Data were analyzed using Chi-square test, which results exhibited the importance of the clean and healthy living behavior in relation to the stunting prevalence in toddlers amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The statistical analysis resulted in a correlation coefficient value of 0.310 and a confidence alpha value of 0.033. These values indicated the presence of a relationship between the two variables. Proper implementation of the clean and healthy living behavior is expected to decrease the stunting prevalence in toddlers. Toddlers are expected to grow and thrive as strong and quality future generation of the nation..

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a fairly high rate of COVID-19 transmission. There are various efforts made by the government to control the transmission of COVID-19. These efforts still require support and countermeasures such as maximizing the involvement of community leaders. This study aims to identify the competence of community leaders which includes knowledge, skills and attitudes and then analyze the effect of COVID-19 health protocol training on the competence of community leaders. This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-expreminent design with a one group pre-test-post-test design. There was no comparison group (control) but the first observation (pre-test) was carried out before giving the intervention and a post-test was carried out. The intervention carried out was training on COVID-19 health protocols. The population in this study were all community leaders who live in the village of Gheo Goma and the sampling in this study used a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires and the SOP for the COVD-19 health protocol. Data analysis used dependent t-test (paired t-test). The results of the analysis showed that the p value of the knowledge variable was 0.0851, the attitude variable was 0.415 and the skill variable was 0.234 (>0.05). There is no difference in the competence of community leaders in preventing or managing non-natural disasters Covid-19 before and after being given COVID-19 health protocol training.

Abstract

The incidence of anemia in Indonesia is still quite high. Based on data from Riskesdas 2018, the prevalence of anemia in adolescents is 32%, meaning that 3-4 out of 10 adolescents suffer from anemia. This is influenced by the habit of nutritional intake that is not optimal and lack of physical activity. Ambon bananas are enriched with iron which is effective for controlling iron deficiency and almost entirely can be absorbed by the body. Ambon bananas also contain vitamin C which can help increase iron absorption. Vitamin C increases absorption because it reduces iron in the form of ferric to ferrous. Vitamin C increases the absorption of iron from food through the formation of ferrous ascorbate complexes. The combination of 200 mg of ascorbic acid with iron salts can increase iron absorption by 25% - 50% (Fenni, 2018).) The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of giving Ambon bananas to increase hemoglobin levels in adolescents at SMP 42 Takengon in 2022. Types of research used in this research is quantitative research with Quasy Experiment research design with Two Group with pre test post test design which consists of 2 groups, control group and experimental group. This research was conducted at SMP 42 Takengon A total of 68 people with a total sample of 26 people who have anemia. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Bivariate analysis using Mann Whitney statistical test. This study obtained the results of P-Value 0.037 (P <0.05) it can be concluded that Ha is accepted, namely the effect of giving Ambon bananas to the increase in hemoglobin in adolescents
