Abstract

This research aims to make buck converter prototype for PLTS system by using fuzzy logic controller. Buck converter is required in the PLTS system if the required unidirectional voltage is smaller than the output voltage of the solar cell. Buck converter used to convert 24 Volt dc voltage to 12 Volt dc with 60 watt capability. While fuzzy logic controller is used to improve buck converter performance based on pulse generation technique for switching. The application of fuzzy logic method is expected to improve the performance of the system by maintaining the stability of buck converter output voltage of 12 volts and reduce the output ripple value. Atmega8535 microcontroller is used to generate PWM pulses for switching on power circuits. The results obtained from the test using a 100 Ohm 5 Watt load obtained the buck converter output voltage of 12.4 Volt.

Abstract

Pada tahun 2015 pengguna Bus Trans Padang telah mencapai 164.344 orang per tahun dan diprediksi akan terus meningkat. Pertumbuhan jumlah penumpang ini belum diiringi dengan penambahan dan perbaikan sarana dan prasarana halte bus. Penelitian ini berupaya mendapatkan rancangan halte bus Trans Padang pada kawasan kampus Universitas Negeri Padang dengan konsep ikonik dan kearifan lokal. Halte eksisting memiliki luas 8,8 m2 dan jumlah pengguna maksimum pada jam non sibuk adalah 22 orang. Hasil analisis menunjukkan luas halte ideal adalah 11 m2, sehingga luasan halte eksisting harus diperbesar. Konsep ikonik dan kearifan lokal dinilai cocok untuk menghasilkan rancangan halte bus Trans Padang yang dapat meningkatkan pelayanan terhadap pengguna sekaligus mengenalkan identitas daerah tempat bus Trans Padang tersebut beroperasi.

Abstract

This study discusses the numerical study of two-dimensional analysis of flow through circular cylinders. The original physical information entered in the equation governing most of the modeling is transferred into a numerical solution. Fluid flow on two-dimensional circular cylinder wall using high Reynolds k-ε modeling (Re = 106), Here we will do 3 modeling first oder upwind, second order upwind and third order MUSCL by using k-ε standard. The general procedure for this research is formulated in detail for allocations in the dynamic analysis of fluid computing. The results of this study suggest that MUSCL's third order modeling gives more accurate results better than other models.

Abstract

This research is a development of previous research entitled "Designing Regenerative Shock Absorber as a Vibration Energy Harvesting Tool on Vehicles" in the PUPT scheme funded by PNBP UNP 2017. In this study optimization of design oriented to energy generation was carried out while also paying attention to aspects driving comfort that might change due to the installation of a harvesting energy mechanism. One aspect of the change occurred in the type of magnet used, namely a ring type magnet with a type of neodymium material.From the test results obtained by changing the value of the efficiency of the shock absorber after the ERSA mechanism is installed by 2%, this condition also has an impact on the dissimilarity of the attenuation value obtained by 2% for the front-rear (left) and (right) wheels. In terms of generation voltage obtained the maximum generation voltage obtained is 25,600 mV. Based on the data obtained, it needs further development ERSA, especially in the aspect of the electromagnetic mechanism to optimize the generation of electrical energy.

Abstract

Various assumptions circulating in the community about the use of fuel types on motorcycles, among others; First use of a conventional motorcycle with a low compression can help clean the burn chamber, improve the performance of the engine, and no difference the perceived premium fuel users have on the EFI motorcycle with the compression Lower. The angapan caused the user to prefer Premium fuel due to a more economical price. This study was conducted to determine the influence of fuel usage on machine performance with multiple criteria. There is a treatment applied to the research object, so to get the desired data on this research using the experimental method. The resulting power drop occurred on the use of premium and pertalite fuels when compared with the power generated on the use of first fuel. The biggest power decline occurred in the comparison of power between first fuel with premium with a large decrease of 4.32%.

Abstract

The number of motorcycles circulating on Indonesian roads in 2018 reached 111,470,878 units. With this amount of traffic on the highway becomes congested and potentially high accidents. One of the factors causing the accident is the motorcycle rider's negligence in using turn signal and brake lights. This study aims to make a tool that works automatically to control the active and inactive brake lights and turn signal on a motorcycle. This tool was successfully developed and implemented using an arduino microcontroller and controller information was taken from the Throttle Position Sensor, Speed sensor, turn signal and brake light control switches. Jumlah sepeda motor yang beredar di jalan raya Indonesia pada 2018 mencapai 111.470.878 unit. Dengan jumlah ini lalu lintas di jalan raya menjadi padat dan rawan akan kecelakaan. Salah satu faktor penyebab kecelakaan adalah kelalaian pengendara sepeda motor dalam menggunakan lampu sein dan lampu rem. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat sebuah alat yang bekerja secara otomatis untuk mengatur hidup dan matinya lampu rem dan lampu sein pada sepeda motor. Alat ini berhasil dikembangkan dan diimplementasikan dengan menggunakan mikrokontroler arduino dan informasi dari sensor seperti Throttle Position Sensor, Speed sensor, saklar lampu sein dan rem.

Abstract

The Wireless Acquisition Data System Simulator Design on Automatic Weather Monitoring Station is means of collecting, monitoring, and controlling some long distance subsystems. Automatic weather monitoring station is device for receiving data by a censor in use to gauge some weather parameters. In this Research we develop an automatic weather monitoring station design simulator by creating a subsystem in the form of prototype, using Digital Pin and Analog Pin from the microcontroller. Sensor characteristics are considered to measure several weather parameters. The principles of a system function are it will have to collect data from some subsystems to accommodate in a database, able to control and deliver instructions to the subsystem. The communication system makes the use of radio frequency by means of Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) method through Handy Talky (HT), picked out because advantages of lower power consumptions and long range of transmission. Additional advantages are, although catastrophes, data communication using HT allows to keep fast transmission. The transmission of data using HT media require a signal converter by which HT is operated by analogue signal (sound), while censor and microcontroller by digital signal and, therefore, Modulation and Demodulation techniques are necessary. The Modulation functions to convert digital signal into analogue, and just the opposite to the Demodulation, the Modulation and Demodulation processes is using IC TCM3105. The results of the trial suggest that system design has proper functions, the communication process in this system is two-ways communication, the process was fast working in either transmitter mode or receiver mode.

Abstract

TCS3200 is one type of sensor that able to identify various types of colors. Its ability to distinguish colors can be used to identify and select various types of objects. To find out the benefits of the TCS300 sensor, a study was made to know implement the TCS3200 sensor function on several electric drive and devices. The TCS3200 sensor application will be made using a 5V DC relay (to start or stop the electric drive) and several electronic devices. This tool uses media in the form of color cards as input data. The card will be read by the TCS3200 sensor, after that the reading data will be received by the Atmega8535 microcontroller, then the results will be displayed on several application devices such as relays, LCD, speaker and LED as outputs. After doing research, the TCS3200 sensor can detect the color cards that have been provided. Based on the program that has been compiled, the Sensor is able to distinguish 9 types of colors, set the switch of 3 electric drive and displaying information of color. TCS3200 adalah salah satu jenis sensor yang mampu mengidentifikasi berbagai jenis warna. Kemampuannya dalam membedakan warna dapat digunakan sebagai pemilih dan pengendali kerja pada beberapa perangkat kelistrikan. Untuk mengetahui manfaat sensor TCS300, sebuah penelitian dilakukan guna mengetahui fungsi sensor TCS3200 pada beberapa penggerak dan perangkat listrik. Pada penelitian ini dibuat sebuah aplikasi sensor TCS3200 dalam bentuk perangkat relay DC 5V (untuk memulai atau menghentikan penggerak listrik) dan beberapa perangkat elektronik. Alat ini menggunakan media dalam bentuk kartu warna sebagai input data. Kartu akan dibaca oleh sensor TCS3200, setelah itu data pembacaan akan diterima oleh mikrokontroler Atmega8535, kemudian hasilnya akan ditampilkan pada beberapa perangkat aplikasi seperti relay, LCD, speaker dan LED sebagai output. Sensor akan bekerja membaca warna dalam jarak 2,5 cm dari objek warna. Setelah melakukan penelitian, sensor TCS3200 dapat mendeteksi kartu warna yang telah disediakan. Berdasarkan program yang telah disusun, Sensor mampu membedakan 9 jenis warna dan membutuhkan waktu 1 - 2 detik untuk mengaktifkan output setelah input warna diberikan.

Abstract

The Retrieval Practice method was developed based on a memory model. In this study, the characteristics of deep rehearsal, including semantic processing accompanied by pictures are the basis for making quiz questions. The application of the Retrieval Practice method requires the support of Information Systems. Focus Group Discussions discuss aspects of repetition in learning. The aim of supporting the application of the Retrieval Practice method is expected to be able to improve student competencies, especially in terms of maturing students' knowledge and understanding. Data is measured from testing semester 2-2018 and semester 1-2019. Conclusion: Cognitive understanding for teachers will help students understand knowledge, understanding, analysis and synthesis into their memories. Metode Retrieval Practice dikembangkan berdasarkan model memori. Dalam penelitian ini, karakteristik deep rehearsal, termasuk pemrosesan semantik yang disertai gambar adalah dasar untuk membuat pertanyaan kuis. Penerapan metode Retrieval Practice memerlukan dukungan Sistem Informasi. Diskusi Kelompok Terfokus membahas aspek pengulangan dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan mendukung penerapan metode Retrieval Practice ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa terutama dalam hal mematangkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman para mahasiswa. Data diukur dari pengujian semester 2-2018 dan Semester 1-2019. Kesimpulan : pemahaman kognitif bagi dosen akan membantu mahasiswa memahami pengetahuan, pemahaman, analisis dan sintesis ke dalam ingatan mereka.

Abstract

This article discusses the design of a Boost type of DC-DC converter with a monitoring GUI. The increase in the output voltage of the converter is done by adjusting the pulse width (PWM). Change the size of the PWM is done by using a switching component in the form of MOSFETs, as well as the use of a gate drive that serves as a signal and security reinforcement between the control circuit and its main circuit. The input voltage of the converter is designed at 12VDC, with an output voltage of 12VDC-24VDC. In this study the GUI was successfully added to display several variables such as voltage (Volt), current (Ampere), as well as graphs of the input and output voltage of the boost converter. GUI monitoring of the converter can be viewed via a PC using Visual Studio 2012 software. Artikel ini membahas tentang perancangan sebuah rangkaian konverter DC-DC tipe Boost (penaik tegangan) dengan GUI monitoring. Kenaikan tegangan keluaran dari konverter dilakukan dengan mengatur lebar pulsa (PWM). Pengubahan besar kecilnya PWM dilakukan dengan meggunakan komponen switching berupa MOSFET, serta penggunaan gate drive yang berfungsi sebagai penguatan sinyal dan pengaman antara rangkaian kontrol dan rangkaian utamanya. Tegangan masukan dari konverter dirancang sebesar 12VDC, dengan tegangan keluaran 12VDC-24VDC. Dalam penelitian ini GUI berhasil ditambahkan untuk menampilkan beberapa variabel seperti tegangan (Volt), arus (Ampere), serta grafik tegangan masukan dan keluaran dari konverter boost. GUI monitoring dari konverter dapat dilihat melalui PC menggunakan software Visual Studio 2012.
