Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aimed to find out the correlation between students’ vocabulary mastery and speaking ability at grade 8 of SMP Negeri. This research was quantitative research which used correlational technique design. The sample of the research was 30 students of grade eight selected by clustering sampling. The instruments used in the research were vocabulary test and speaking test. Vocabulary test consisted of 50 questions of multiple choices, and speaking test in the form of role play. The research data were in the form of interpretation of students’ vocabulary and speaking test results, and their correlation. Based on data analysis, it was found that students’ vocabulary mastery and speaking ability were fair. They were proved by the mean score 65 for vocabulary mastery and 68 for speaking ability. Moreover, there was strong correlation between students’ vocabulary mastery and speaking ability. It was shown by the rvalue = 0,703 . Keywords:Students’ Achievement, Vocabulary, Speaking

Abstract

Students often experience errors during the learning process, like errors in reading and digesting questions. Characteristics of students in understanding a material affect errors in solving problems, one of which is the learning style. Learning style is a way that is used by students to absorb and process information from the environment. There are three types of learning styles, including visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. This research is a qualitative descriptive which aims to categorize students' errors in statistical material in terms of learning styles using the CRI instrument. The subjects in this study were 31 students who had studied statistics. The results of this study indicate that students who have a visual learning style have transformation errors and errors in understanding questions. Students with auditory learning style have transformation errors and errors in understanding basic concepts. Students with kinesthetic learning style have errors in remembering basic concepts and transformation errors.

Abstract

Abstract Education is an effort carried out with the aim of making one's life better, more useful, and as a means to express all the potential that exists within oneself in order to become a better person than before. The presence of COVID-19 has had a significant impact in various sectors, especially in the education sector. Many changes have occurred due to the presence of this pandemic. Today's society is required to be literate in all things, especially in terms of technology. Distance learning (PJJ), which has been implemented since the presence of the COVID-19 pandemic, presents new habits that have never happened before. The ability to be technologically literate is a basic ability as well as a very important ability that must be possessed by anyone involved in the world of education. At this time, technology has become a bridge between teachers and students so that learning can continue. Information and communication technology literacy is also present as a solution that will help streamline the distance learning process because information and communication technology literacy includes all knowledge and skills in utilizing technology, starting from knowing the device, how to operate the device, to using it.

Abstract

Prospective science teacher students must be able to carry out practicum well to deliver fun learning through experiments, as well as develop the ability to collaborate. The purpose of this study is to analyze student skills in conducting practicum and collaborating after COVID-19. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research and is carried out in the even semester of 2021-2022. Observations were made to obtain an overview of the skills of Ivet University Science Education students in carrying out practicum. The results showed that the average value of students in terms of (1) time effectiveness during practicum was 91.67; (2) skills in carrying out experiments of 87.50; (3) group dynamics of 81.25; (4) seriousness in observing the experiment, namely 77.08; (5) preparation and (6) cleanliness of practicum tools with a score of 75; (7) skills in the preparation of tools and materials, namely 70.83; and (8) leadership with a score of 66.67. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that students' skills in conducting practicum and collaborating are generally good, but leadership aspects and skills in preparing tools and materials still need to be improved.

Abstract

Education for Sustainable Development bertujuan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan generasi penerus bumi agar mampu menjaga keberlangsungan lingkungan di masa yang akan datang. ESD umumnya berfokus pada pengembangan dan penguatan kompetensi individu peserta didik, dimana memungkinkan peserta didik untuk berkontribusi dan berpartisipasi dalam proses pembangunan berkelanjutan dari berbagai dimensi. Pendekatan Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) sangat penting dalam pendidikan untuk menanamkan pengetahuan serta) menjadi langkah konkrit pemerintah untuk mengatasi permasalahan lingkungan pada saat ini. ESD muncul menjadi beberapa kajian seperti : 1) pendidikan lingkungan; 2) pendidikan global/pendidikan untuk tanggung jawab global; 3) pendidikan kewarganegaraan/pendidikan politik; 4) pendidikan melawan kekerasan dan rasisme; 5) pendidikan kesehatan serta banyak sekali kontribusi dalam literatur tentang ESD yang mengidentifikasi keterampilan dan pola pikir sebagai cara untuk memberdayakan individu untuk memulai dan melakukan perubahan, Artinya, dalam praktiknya, memungkinkan peserta didik untuk mengukur kesadaran peserta didik Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat dilihat bahwa kompetensi-kompetensi ESD dapat diimplementasikan ke dalam pembelajaran. hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa pada indikator sosial lingkungan, dan ekonomi diperoleh persentase yang paling besar pada indikator ekonomi dengan perolehan sebesar 83%, kemudian di ikuti oleh indikator sosial dengan perolehan sebesar 80% dan persentase yang paling rendah yaitu pada indikator lingkungan dengan jumlah perolehan sebesar 79%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the physics teacher’s performance at Public Senior High Schools accredited “A” in Kampar Regency based on the competence of teacher’s, instructional planning, implementation of learning, and learning assessment, control of competencies, and the socioeconomic status and the physics teacher’s performance at Public Senior High Schools accredited “A” in Kampar Regency. This was an corelation study employing the quantitative descriptive technique. The study was carried out in public senior high school in Kampar Regency with the research subjects of physics teacher’s who teach at Public Senior High Schools accredited “A” in Kampar Regency. The data were collected though a questionnaires, documentation, and observation. They were analyzed by means in this research of the descriptive statistical technique using percentages and Spearman correlation analysis. The results of the study show that: (1) physics teacher’s performance at Public Senior High Schools accredited “A” in Kampar Regency in the planning and implementation of learning are in the the very good category, meanwhile, the learning assessment in the good category. (2) performance of physics teacher’s at Public Senior High Schools accredited “A” in Kampar Regency on four competencies based on teachers' self-assessment and principals assessment are in the very good category. (3) socio-economic status has a strong correlation (positive) and significant to the physics teacher’s performance at Public High School accredited “A” in Kampar regency.

Abstract

Untuk mewujudkan dan mencapai tujuan pendidikan yang telah ditetapkan pada visi dan misi sebuah lembaga pendidikan, serta untuk menjaga dan meningkatkan mutu pendidikan pada lembaga pendidikan tersebut perlu adanya standar mutu dan sasaran mutu yang diimplementasi dengan baik. Tanpa adanya standar mutu dan sasaran mutu yang baik, maka lembaga pendidikan tersebut akan kehilangan arah tanpa pedoman dalam mewujudkan lembaga pendidikan yang bermutu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui konsep implementasi standar mutu dan sasaran mutu pada lembaga pendidikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah menggunakan pendekatan kajian kepustakaan. Standar mutu adalah sesuatu yang menjadi tolok ukur kinerja dan kualitas sebuah lembaga pendidikan yang meliputi input, proses, out put, out come yang dimiliki oleh sebuah lembaga pendidikan. Sedangkan sasaran mutu adalah sesuatu yang ingin dicapai dan diwujudkan oleh sebuah lembaga pendidikan melalui seluruh proses yang dilakukan. Konsep standar mutu dan sasaran mutu harus menggunakan pendekatan SMART, yaitu: Specific (spesifik), Measurable (terukur), Achievable (dapat dicapai), Relevant (relevan), dan Time Bound (ada batas waktu).

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media komik berbasis budaya dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa di MTS Al-Husna kota depok pada materi statistika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian yaitu Pre-Experimental-Designs dengan rancangan penelitian One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII MTS Al-Husna Kota Depok. Instrumen yang digunakanaadalah instrumen tes hasil belajar. Hasil analisis data dilihat dari tingkat efektifitas menggunakan rumus uji N-Gain Score dengan nilai rata-rata mencapai 0,76 dengan kriteria tinggi. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji pengaruh menggunakan rumus Paired Sample T-Test dengan hasil nilai -32,46489 yang berdasarkan hipotesis penelitian bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata skor hasil belajar sebelum dan sesudah siswa belajar menggunaan media komik berbasis budaya. Hasil penelitian pada siswa kelas VIII MTS Al-Husna kota Depok menunjukan bahwa penggunaan media komik berbasis budaya sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika.

Abstract

At SMK Taruna Pekanbaru in the Basic Electronics subject, there are several obstacles experienced in learning such as a lack of interest and enthusiasm for student learning, the learning method used still uses the lecture method, and the learning media still fixated on using PowerPoint. The lack of use of varied and interesting learning media makes students feel bored and difficult to understand the basic lessons of electricity and electronics. Based on these problems, this development research aims to produce interactive learning media with Lectora Inspire on basic electricity and electronics material and to describe the feasibility of learning media with Lectora Inspire on basic electricity and electronics materials for class X TAV SMK Taruna Pekanbaru. The method used in this research is research and development (R&D). The development model used in the development of this interactive learning media is ADDIE. This research produces a product in the form of basic electrical electronics learning media for class X TAV students at SMK Taruna Pekanbaru. This basic electronics learning media was developed using the Lectora Inspire application. Learning media for basic electricity and electronics in terms of material aspects and benefits are categorized as good from the validation of material experts to be used as learning media for basic electricity and electronics. Based on the validation of media experts in terms of two aspects, namely the display aspect and the programming aspect, it is categorized as very good for use as a basic learning medium for electricity and electronics. As well as the teacher's assessment of three aspects, namely content quality and learning objectives, technical quality, and instructional quality which are categorized as good.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' ability to operationalize addition and subtraction in mathematics using concrete media in class I SD Negeri 001 Ranai, Bunguran Timur District, Natuna Regency. The data in this study were obtained from interviews, action observations, and evaluation results. This research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle is carried out based on the stages: (1) preparing an activity plan, (2) carrying out actions, (3) observing, and (4) analyzing followed by reflection. The results of the research on pre-action scores > 77 were 43% of all students and scores <77 were 57% of all students. The researcher took the KKM standard score of 77, because the value of 77 is above the sufficient value for learning success. Then after the action was taken, from the results of the learning evaluation in cycle I with the lowest standard value of 77, students who obtained a score > 77 were 19 students out of 21 students, namely 90% while the results of the evaluation in cycle II with the same standard value, all students obtained a value > 77 or 100 %.
