Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan membaca permulaan pada peserta didik kelas II di SD Negeri Sinaba. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor – faktor penyebab kesulitan membaca permulaan pada peserta didik kelas II di SD Negeri Sinaba. Kurangnya kemampuan membaca permulaan peserta didik tidak terlepas dari beberapa faktor, yakni peserta didik belum mengenal huruf – huruf abjad, kesulitan membedakan bentuk – bentuk huruf abjad, kemampuan penginderaan, minimnya penggunaan media pembelajaran, kurangnya dukungan keluarga dalam belajar membaca, serta kurangnya motivasi dan minat peserta didik dalam belajar membaca. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan peserta didik kelas II sudah cukup baik, hanya saja masih terdapat beberapa peserta didik yang belum lancar membaca permulaan. Dari 32 peserta didik terdapat 5 peserta didik yang belum lancar membaca. Setelah dilakukan pendampingan serta bimbingan, 5 peserta didik tersebut terlihat mengalami peningkatan dalam mengenal huruf dan membaca dua hingga empat kosa kata.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are very necessary in the 21st century, several studies still show that students’ critical thinking skill in Indonesia are still low. This study aims to determine the effect of applying the Jigsaw type Cooperative Learning model assisted by Eco-pop media on the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students. The research method used was a pre-experiment with a one group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects consisted of 20 fifth-grade elementary school students, namely 8 male students and 12 female students at an elementary school in Purwakarta. Data collection was carried out through test instruments in the form of pretest and posttest questions, each consisting of 10 essay questions that measured students’ critical thinking skills. Data analysis used parametric inferential statistics with the help of the SPSS application. The normality test results showed that the data were normally distributed, with a pretest significance value of 0.071 > 0.05 and a posttest significance value of 0.155 >0.05. The results of the Paired Sample T-Test showed a significance value of0.000 < 0.05, confirming a significant difference between critical thinking skills before and after treatment. Thus, it can be concluded that the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning model assisted by Eco-pop media has a significant effect in effectively improving the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students and is recommended for use in the classroom learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and evaluate efforts made to increase literacy love among primary school students. Literacy plays a crucial role in students' intellectual and social development, and understanding and appreciation of literacy can enrich their educational experience. The research method involved qualitative data collection through classroom observation, interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of documents related to the literacy programme that had been implemented. The results showed that efforts to increase a love of literacy involved innovative teaching strategies and the integration of literacy into the curriculum. Teachers actively promote students' interest in reading through activities such as book discussion groups, storytelling and storytelling performances, visits to the library, promoting literacy corner projects in classrooms, and enlivening the walls and corridors of the school with students' literary works. In addition, science literacy programs can also enhance students' knowledge of nature, and teacher storytelling programs can improve both teachers' and students' appreciation of literature. These findings can provide insights for other schools that want to increase a love of literacy at the primary level, emphasising the importance of collaboration between teachers, students, and parents in creating an educational environment that supports children's literacy development

Abstract

The phonological and morphological development of early childhood often exhibits sound errors, word simplifications, limited vocabulary, and differences in ability due to environmental factors. Research is needed to understand how the language acquisition process occurs and what factors influence the quality of children's language development. This study used a qualitative method with a literature study approach. Data were collected from scientific journals, linguistics books, academic articles, and relevant research reports. Analysis was conducted descriptively and qualitatively through reading, grouping data, comparing theories, and drawing patterns of children's phonological and morphological development. The results of the study indicate that children experience gradual phonological development from prelinguistic to phoneme mastery, accompanied by natural errors such as syncope, apheresis, and sound substitution. In morphology, children begin to master basic morphemes, affixation, reduplication, and the dominance of the noun lexicon. The environment has been shown to be a major factor in language acquisition. The study concluded that children's phonological and morphological development is strongly influenced by environmental stimulation, verbal interaction, and cognitive maturity. It is recommended that parents and educators provide a language-rich, responsive environment and regularly provide verbal stimulation to optimize children's language development.

Abstract

The increasing use of emojis in digital communication, particularly on social media, is influencing how users express meaning in Indonesian. This study aims to analyze the impact of emojis as a substitute for grammatical expressions on the use of Indonesian in digital communication.This study used a quantitative approach with a questionnaire as the data collection technique. The results showed that emojis are often used as substitutes for certain grammatical elements, such as emotional expression, emphasis, and intonation in written communication. The use of emojis is considered to clarify the message, but in certain contexts, it has the potential to diminish the use of standard Indonesian language structures.Thus, the use of emojis has a dual impact: as a communication tool and as a factor influencing changes in language patterns in the digital space. Based on questionnaire data,(87.4%)103 of people use emojis to convey expressions in digital communication. Their use risks eroding the ability to speak correct Indonesian.To prevent this, we've found that implementing the 4M 1J concept (Separating the person you're speaking to, Cultivating complete sentences, Adding emojis as complements, Practicing expressing feelings, and Don't delete important words) is essential. This ensures that emoji use continues to function as a support for digital communication without degrading the rules of good and correct Indonesian.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan persepsi siswa teradap guru dengan hasil belajar biologi pada materi bioteknologi kelas X di SMAN 1 Kubung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah mixmetodh .Sampel penelitian berjumlah 136 siswa yang dikumpulkan dari 4 kelas X menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Berdasarkan data yang telah diperoleh pada penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen berupa angket, wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan korelasi yang signifikan dilihat dari hasil uji koefesiensi korelasi persepsi siswa terhadap guru di kelas X3 dengan tingkat hubungan kuat yaitu sebesar 0.637, X4 dengan tingkat hubungan sangat kuat yaitu sebesar 0.818, X5 dengan tingkat hubungan cukup kuat yaitu sebesar 0.531, dan X6 dengan tingkat hubungan kuat yaitu sebesar 0.794. Hasil observasi dan wawancara terhadap siswa memiliki hasil persepsi positif terhadap guru Biologi dalam hal pemberian arahan (directing), sikap ramah dan membantu (helpful/friendly), pemahaman terhadap siswa (understanding), keterbukaan terhadap keluhan (complaint), keyakinan saat mengajar (uncertain), pemberian apresiasi (dissatisfied), cara menghadapi pelanggaran (confrontational), serta penegakan disiplin (imposing) yang adil dan efektif.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has influenced various aspects of life, including language styles among the younger generation. As active users of social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter, Generation Z often creates new forms of language that have undergone changes in meaning from their original meanings. This study aims to describe the forms of changes in the meaning of words in slang used by Generation Z on social media and analyze the factors causing these changes. Words such as "gas," "bestie," "flexing," and "healing" have experienced shifts in function and meaning in everyday contexts. The conclusions of this study confirm that Generation Z slang reflects the social and cultural dynamics of the digital era and demonstrates that social media plays a significant role in shaping and disseminating changes in meaning in modern Indonesian.

Abstract

Kajian ini menelusuri gagasan-gagasan ilmiah Tanthawi Jauharī dalam karya tafsirnya, al-Jawāhir fī Tafsīr al-Qur’ān al-Karīm, sekaligus bagaimana ia berupaya menjembatani hubungan antara ajaran agama dan temuan sains modern. Dalam konteks kebangkitan pemikiran di Mesir, Tanthawi menegaskan bahwasanya Al-Qur’an bukan saja mengarahkan manusia secara kerohanian, namun juga memotivasi pengamatan ilmiah terhadap tanda-tanda ciptaan melalui ayat-ayat kauniyyah. Pendekatan yang ia gunakan memadukan corak tahlili dengan perspektif ilmiah, sehingga berbagai teori kontemporer, hasil penelitian para ilmuwan, dan analisis kebahasaan dimanfaatkan untuk memahami fenomena alam dalam bingkai keimanan. Baginya, penyelarasan antara ilmu pengetahuan dan agama merupakan kebutuhan intelektual yang dapat menghidupkan kembali tradisi rasional dalam Islam serta menjadi jawaban atas problem-problem era modern. Penafsirannya mengenai aspek kesehatan pada QS. al-Baqarah:61, penjelasan atmosfer dan cuaca pada QS. an-Nur:43, serta ulasan mengenai struktur bahasa dan unsur huruf menunjukkan cara ia menggunakan sains sebagai perangkat penjelas wahyu. Walaupun beberapa gagasannya dipandang terlalu bergantung pada teori yang dapat berubah, sumbangsihnya tetap besar karena menumbuhkan kembali kesadaran pentingnya aktivitas ilmiah dalam Islam. Oleh karena itu, pemikiran Tanthawi menjadi pijakan berharga bagi lahirnya tafsir kontemporer yang lebih terbuka, rasionalitas,serta selaras dengan kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research question of this study is: How effective is the use of Canva media on the descriptive text writing skills of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Kunden Karanganom Klaten in the 2025/2026 Academic Year? This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Canva media in improving Indonesian descriptive text writing skills among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Kunden Karanganom Klaten. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental research design. The experimental method was used to determine the effect of a specific treatment under controlled conditions by comparing an experimental group and a control group. The experimental class was taught using Canva media, while the control class received instruction through conventional learning methods. This design enabled the researcher to identify causal relationships between the use of Canva media and students’ writing skills. The results of data analysis and hypothesis testing indicate that learning utilizing Canva media significantly affects students’ learning outcomes. Students in the experimental class achieved higher writing scores than those in the control class. The improvement in Indonesian writing skills showed that the experimental class reached a moderate category, while the control class remained in a low category. Statistical analysis revealed a calculated t-value of 4.21 with 28 degrees of freedom, which exceeded the t-table value of 1.70 at a 5% significance level. Therefore, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. It can be concluded that the use of Canva media is effective in improving descriptive text writing skills of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Kunden Karanganom Klaten.Keywords: Effectiveness, Writing Skills, Canva MediaABSTRAKRumusan permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana efektivitas pemanfaatan media Canva terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Kunden Karanganom Klaten Tahun Pelajaran 2025/2026. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas pemanfaatan media Canva dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi Bahasa Indonesia pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Kunden Karanganom Klaten. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi eksperimen. Metode eksperimen diterapkan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suatu perlakuan terhadap variabel lain dalam kondisi yang terkendali dengan melibatkan dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Kelompok eksperimen diberikan pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan media Canva, sedangkan kelompok kontrol menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil analisis data dan pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan media Canva berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan menulis siswa. Hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Peningkatan keterampilan menulis Bahasa Indonesia pada kelas eksperimen berada pada kategori sedang, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol berada pada kategori rendah. Berdasarkan hasil uji t pada nilai post-test, diperoleh nilai t-hitung sebesar 4,21 dengan derajat kebebasan (df) 28, yang lebih besar daripada nilai t-tabel sebesar 1,70 pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Dengan demikian, Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan media Canva efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Kunden Karanganom Klaten. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of school literacy in forming the character of reading in elementary school students through a literature study approach. This research uses a qualitative approach with the library research method. The results of the study show that the implementation of school literacy consisting of routine reading activities, the provision of reading corners, and teacher assistance contributes significantly to fostering interest and reading habits in students. The integration of conventional and digital literacy enriches students’ learning experiences while improving critical thinking, communication, and digital skills as demands of 21st century learning. Family support and school policies are also important factors in creating a sustainable literacy ecosystem. This study emphasizes that literacy not only functions to improve reading skills but also acts as an instrument for character formation that is disciplined, independent, and has high curiosity.
