Abstract

Creativity is one of the essential aspects that should be developed from an early age, as it plays a significant role in enhancing children's ability to think, imagine, solve problems, and express themselves. One approach that can be used to foster creativity in early childhood is dance education based on movement exploration. This study aims to analyze the role of movement exploration-based dance education in developing creativity among early childhood learners. The study employed a qualitative approach using a library research design. Data were collected from various scientific sources, including journal articles, books, conference proceedings, and research reports related to dance education, movement exploration, creativity, and early childhood education published within the last five years. Data collection was conducted through documentation techniques, while data were analyzed using content analysis involving data reduction, data presentation, data interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that movement exploration-based dance education plays a significant role in fostering creativity among young children by providing opportunities to explore, imagine, and create movements independently. In addition to enhancing creativity, this learning approach also contributes to the development of children's motor, social-emotional, language, and cognitive skills. Therefore, movement exploration-based dance education can be considered an effective learning strategy to support the optimal development of creativity and overall potential in early childhood.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of students' critical thinking skills, whichremains a challenge in learning, particularly due to the use of teacher-centeredlearning models that lack active student involvement. Therefore, learning innovationis needed through the use of teaching materials that support higher-order thinkingskills, one of which is Problem-Based Learning (PBL)-based e-modules. This studyaims to analyze the effect of PBL-based e-modules on students' critical thinkingskills through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Research data wereobtained from 20 national and international scientific articles published between2021 and 2025 and analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques. The resultsof the study indicate that the use of PBL-based e-modules has a positive influenceon students' critical thinking skills at various levels of education. PBL-based emodules can increase students' activeness in identifying problems, analyzinginformation, and developing solutions logically and systematically. Furthermore, theintegration of e-modules with other approaches such as STEM and SocraticDialogue further strengthens the improvement of critical thinking skills. Thus, PBLbased e-modules can be an alternative innovative teaching material

Abstract

The rise of social media has made the use of slang among teenagers increasingly common in everyday life. Slang is typically used when communicating with peers because it is considered more casual and easier to understand. However, the overuse of slang is also beginning to affect the proper use of Indonesian, particularly in formal situations. This study aims to examine the use of slang among teenagers and its impact on the use of Indonesian. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method, utilizing data collection through a survey distributed via Google Forms to 37 respondents aged 15–23 years, supplemented by a literature review from various scientific journals. The results indicate that the majority of teenagers use slang in daily communication because it is perceived as more comfortable within social circles. In addition to having a positive impact in the form of more intimate and relaxed communication, the use of slang also causes some adolescents to become accustomed to using non-standard language in formal and academic settings. So, language use needs to be adapted to the situation and context so that the Indonesian language remains preserved as a national identity.

Abstract

Physical and motor development is one of the essential aspects that must be stimulated from an early age, as it supports children's ability to perform daily activities and contributes to other developmental domains. One form of stimulation that is appropriate to the characteristics of early childhood is the introduction of dance education. This study aims to analyze the role of dance introduction in optimizing the physical and motor development of early childhood children. The research employed a qualitative approach using a library research design. Data were collected from various scientific sources, including books, journal articles, conference proceedings, and research reports related to dance education, physical development, motor development, and early childhood education published within the last five years. Data collection was conducted through documentation techniques, while data analysis used content analysis. The findings indicate that the introduction of dance plays a significant role in optimizing the physical and motor development of young children. Dance activities enhance gross motor skills through movements such as walking, running, jumping, and maintaining balance, while also supporting fine motor development through coordinated and controlled movements. Furthermore, dance contributes to the improvement of body coordination, flexibility, agility, physical fitness, and self-confidence. Therefore, the introduction of dance can serve as an effective and enjoyable learning medium that aligns with the developmental characteristics of young children and supports the optimal development of their physical and motor abilities.

Abstract

Indonesian plays a crucial role as a national identity, a unifying language, and an official means of communication within society. However, the rapid development of digital technology and globalization has created significant challenges to its existence, particularly through the increasing influence of foreign languages, slang expressions, digital abbreviations, and code-mixing practices among younger generations. This study aims to examine the challenges faced by the Indonesian language as a symbol of national identity in the digital and global era and to identify adaptive strategies for maintaining its sustainability. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach through a literature review. Data were collected from scientific journals, academic articles, books, and other relevant references discussing language development in the context of digitalization and globalization. The findings indicate that digitalization and globalization have both positive and negative impacts on the Indonesian language. On the one hand, technological advancements provide opportunities for wider dissemination and development of the language. On the other hand, they contribute to the declining use of standard Indonesian, the growing influence of foreign languages, and a reduced sense of linguistic pride among some speakers. Therefore, strengthening digital literacy, promoting contextual language awareness, innovating Indonesian language education, and utilizing digital media as a platform for language promotion are essential efforts. These strategies are expected to ensure that Indonesian remains relevant, adaptive, and resilient as a representation of national identity amid global transformations.

Abstract

Gaguritan Ni Candrawati is one of the classical Balinese literary works composed in the form of pupuh Ginada consisting of 58 stanzas, transcribed by Wayan Budha Gautama in 1992. This study aims to describe the structure and meaning contained in Gaguritan Ni Candrawati. The research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytic approach. Data were collected through reading and note-taking techniques (simak-catat), followed by literal and idiomatic translation. Data analysis used structural and semiotic theories. The results show that the formal structure of Gaguritan Ni Candrawati consists of literary and linguistic codes, language varieties (alus, madia, kasar), and figurative language including comparative, contrastive, and associative styles. The narrative structure covers incident, plot, characterization, setting, theme, and moral message. The content structure is divided into three parts: the opening (character introduction and initial conflict), the middle (main conflict), and the closing (resolution and suffering of the protagonist). The meanings identified include religious, moral, social, humanistic, loyalty and sacrifice, and power critique meanings. This work depicts the suffering of Ni Candrawati caused by conflict between divine will and human judgment, generating empathy and deeper understanding of life values.

Abstract

This quantitative descriptive study aims to describe how listeners perceive figurative language in the song “Gala Bunga Matahari" by Sal Priadi. Data were collected using a 4-point Likert scale questionnaire administered to 70 respondents through purposive sampling. The results showed that most listeners (91.4%) paid more attention to the meaning of the lyrics than the musical elements. The use of the metaphor "Bunga Matahari" (92.9%) and the phrase "Tubungmu tidak merasa sakit lagi" (95.8%) were effective in creating a powerful symbol of loss, comforting, and encouraging emotional acceptance. This way of writing the lyrics effectively enhances emotional communication, triggers visual imagination, and serves as a way for deep personal reflection on loss.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the movement of the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) and the stock prices of LQ45 constituent companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2015–2024 period. A quantitative associative approach was employed using panel data regression on 20 firms selected through purposive sampling based on their consistent inclusion in the LQ45 index for at least seven years. The data comprised monthly closing prices of the JCI and individual stock returns, with the BI-7DRR interest rate and IDR/USD exchange rate as control variables, yielding 3,380 panel observations. Analyses included Pearson correlation, Common Effect Model (CEM) estimation, and per-company beta coefficients. Aggregately, no significant relationship was found between JCI returns and LQ45 stock returns (r = 0.029; p = 0.096; F = 0.924; p = 0.428), leading to acceptance of the null hypothesis. However, per-company analysis revealed that banking stocks BBRI, BMRI, BBCA, and BBNI exhibited significant positive correlations (r = 0.267–0.312) with beta coefficients above 1.0 (1.187–1.421), whereas energy stocks such as ADRO and PTBA showed the weakest, non-significant correlations. The interest rate and exchange rate control variables had no direct significant effect. The findings indicate that the JCI–LQ45 relationship is sector-specific; investors may leverage the high-beta characteristics of banking stocks for momentum strategies in bullish phases and the low-beta nature of energy stocks for defensive positioning in bearish markets.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of social media usage on students’ Indonesian language skills. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach involving 20 university students from several study programs at Universitas Negeri Medan. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed via Google Forms covering indicators such as the frequency of slang usage, language use context, interference of slang in formal communication, and students’ perceptions of standard Indonesian usage. The results showed that the use of slang among students was relatively high, reaching 85%. Social media became the main factor influencing the emergence of non-formal language in students’ daily communication. About 65% of students admitted that they often mixed slang with formal Indonesian in academic communication. In addition, 63.2% of respondents realized that excessive slang usage could affect their ability to use proper and correct Indonesian. This study indicates that social media has both positive and negative impacts on students’ language skills. Therefore, students’ awareness and lecturers’ guidance are needed to maintain the proper use of Indonesian in academic environments.
