Abstract

The increase in the number of vehicles due to population growth, if not accompanied by improvements in road capacity, can lead to traffic problems, particularly at the signalized three-leg intersection on Jalan Raya Kletek, Sidoarjo City. This study aims to analyze the traffic volume using the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (MKJI, 1997) method. Data were obtained through field surveys that included traffic volume and the geometric conditions of the intersection. The analysis was conducted to determine the intersection capacity, degree of saturation, queue length, stop rate, and delay. The results show that the highest traffic volume occurred on Tuesday between 17.00–18.00 WIB, with 1,130 pcu/hour from the Mojokerto–Sidoarjo direction, 1,069 pcu/hour from the Sidoarjo–Mojokerto direction, and 454 pcu/hour from Jalan Sawunggaling. These data were used as the basis for calculating the degree of saturation according to the MKJI 1997 guidelines.

Abstract

Road damage is a problem caused by various factors, including excessive repetitive traffic loads, temperature and rainfall effects, and poor initial construction quality. Roads that are not properly designed and maintained will experience a decline in both structural and functional quality, resulting in reduced service performance for users. The impacts of road damage include traffic flow disruption, decreased comfort, and increased safety risks. The condition and type of vehicles passing over the road also significantly affect the pavement design and structural durability. A study on the road section in Lasada Village, Unaaha District, shows that the increased traffic volume on the regency road connecting Tuoy Village and Ambekaeri Village has led to various types of damage, such as cracking and potholes. With an approximate length of 1 km, width of 7.2 m, and pavement thickness of 15 cm, this road has experienced a reduction in load-bearing capacity due to unmet construction standards. Consequently, the level of service and comfort for road users has decreased significantly.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the distribution schedule planning of radio products to the European region using the Distribution Requirement Planning (DRP) method at PT. X. The main problem faced by the company is the high distribution costs due to the suboptimal delivery schedule. The study was conducted from February to May 2025 using a quantitative descriptive approach with primary data in the form of observations and interviews and secondary data including product demand, inventory, lead time, and logistics costs. The results of the analysis show that the DRP method is able to produce a more efficient distribution schedule with a total cost of Rp14,236,002, compared to the previous method of Rp29,764,423, or a savings of 52%. Thus, the implementation of DRP is proven to increase cost efficiency, optimize container capacity, and support the smoothness of the company's international distribution.

Abstract

The development of the Indonesian economy is inseparable from the role of the business industry in various regions spread throughout Indonesia. Yogyakarta City is a city with good potential for the business industry and MSMEs because it is supported by the tourism and education sectors. One of them is the culinary business. However, like other business fields, the culinary business is also not free from problems in carrying out supply chain management. The study aims to see the effect of Integration, Information Sharing, Long Term Relationship, Agility, and Responsiveness on SCM performance. The sample used was 30 respondents of meatball culinary business owners or employees in the city of Yogyakarta. Data analysis techniques using Multiple Linear Regression. The results showed that the variables of Integration, Information Sharing, Long Term Relationship, Agility have a positive and significant effect on SCM performance, while the Responsiveness variable has no significant effect on SCM performance. All variables are simultaneously significant between integration, information sharing, long term relationship, agility, and responsiveness to SCM performance.

Abstract

This study uses the fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (FAHP) method to determine the maintenance priorities of railroad components on the section between Caruban Station - Babadan Station KM 155+000 to KM 157+200. FAHP was applied to evaluate and prioritize based on criteria including human resources, material, cost, risk, and level of damage, with participation from experts and academics. FAHP analysis showed that risk was the first-order criterion in priority assessment with a value of 0.31, followed by damage level with a value of 0.29, cost with a value of 0.17, material with a value of 0.14, and human resources with a value of 0.10. The resulting maintenance prioritization shows that ballast addition is the most urgent measure with the highest priority value of 0.54, followed by rail and sleeper maintenance with values of 0.27 and 0.18 respectively. The results of this analysis indicate a need for 1,456.60 m3 of additional ballast as a priority measure in the repair of railroad components in the studied segments.

Abstract

Fire is an oxidation event involving fuel, oxygen, and energy sources that can cause property. The requirements and implementation of this method using scientific methods such as inspection sheets as a tool to help solve the analysis. The results of the study from a total of 49 APAR were examined. From the results of the inspection that has been carried out, it was found that the indicator of the need for APAR in each room is an excess number of APAR, this is not a problem, the condition of the APAR has been appropriate but there are some that are not appropriate, the maintenance of APAR is only a few APAR that are checked routinely. In conclusion, although the number and type of APAR in each room are adequate, suggestions are needed to improve APAR, installation signs, placement of APAR, and maintenance of APAR to ensure safety.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the mental workload of forklift operators at PT. NDIS, using the NASA-Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) method. Data was collected through an online questionnaire, with results indicating a "high" level of mental workload. The study identifies workload factors such as mental, physical, temporal demands, performance, effort, frustration, and fatigue, exacerbated by high operational demands. This research contributes to designing work systems that consider safety and health factors. Moreover, it deepens the understanding of employees' psychological conditions, which supports efforts to enhance productivity.

Abstract

This study was conducted at UMKM Massempo Bakery with the aim of identifying and minimizing waste in its production process. Waste occurring during production can negatively impact efficiency and effectiveness, making improvements essential. The methods used in this research are Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and 5S. VSM was applied to map the value stream in the production process and identify existing wastes. The research findings revealed several types of waste, including defect, waiting, and motion. To minimize these wastes, improvements were made through the implementation of the 5S methodology, which includes Seiri (Sorting), Seiton (Set in Order), Seiso (Shining), Seiketsu (Standardizing), and Shitsuke (Sustaining). The implementation of 5S resulted in a more organized workspace, cleaner production areas, and a more efficient workflow, ultimately helping to reduce defects, shorten production times, and eliminate unnecessary motion.

Abstract

The Industrial Engineering Department is one of the departments at the Faculty of Engineering, Gorontalo State University which uses websites as a medium for delivering information. This website is used to convey information regarding class schedules, list of lecturers attending, information about departments, information about labs, final assignments, alumni and department accreditation. To measure the level of usability and quality of websites, the SUS (System Usability Scale) and WebQual methods are used. Seventy-five students majoring in industrial engineering were respondents in this research by selecting answers using a Likert scale. The calculation result of the average SUS score is 54.9, where the score falls into the grade scale F, Adjective Ratings OK and the Acceptability range is marginal low. The results of WebQual calculations, the correlation value obtained is 1 and the significant value is 0. This means that there is a relationship between user satisfaction and the three dimensions of WebQual. From the SUS score and WebQual value, it shows that the website has very low quality so this research recommends improvements.

Abstract

Forecasting, which is part of planning activities, provides benefits for higher education institutions to prepare for the needs of the selection process. This study aims to predict the number of new student applicants using the moving average, weighted moving average, and exponential smoothing methods. Forecast accuracy testing through signal tracking tests in each period, as well as MAD, MSE, and MAPE values. The forecast results using the exponential smoothing method with α 0.2 provide the smallest MAD results compared to other methods. The forecast results using the 3-period weighted moving average method with the last weight of 0.8, the second weight of 0.1, and the third weight of 0.1 provide the smallest MSE and MAPE results compared to other methods.
