Abstract

At PT. Anugrah Bangun Makmur, the main problem faced by the company is high inventory costs due to suboptimal ordering frequency and the risk of stock outs and overstocks. Using the EOQ method has a significant impact on cost efficiency and inventory stability. The company's total actual costs of Rp 1,400,677 per year can be reduced to Rp 487,603 after implementing EOQ, resulting in savings of Rp 913,074. In addition, EOQ is also able to reduce the total ordering cost from Rp 300,398 to Rp 246,330. The EOQ method produces a more stable and controlled inventory pattern compared to the company's manual method, so the risk of stockouts and overstocks can be minimized. Overall, the application of the EOQ method has proven effective in improving the efficiency of inventory management at PT. Anugrah Bangun Makmur. This method is able to optimize ordering and storage costs while ensuring the availability of spare parts according to operational needs

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of 5S awareness and environmental hazard levels on employee performance in a manufacturing company. Implementing the 5S concept is crucial for creating a clean, orderly, and efficient environmental hazard level, while controlling environmental hazard levels aims to minimize the risk of accidents and occupational diseases. The research method used was a quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 employee respondents. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to determine the relationship and influence of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The results showed that 5S awareness had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, while environmental hazard levels had a negative and significant effect. These findings indicate that higher 5S awareness and lower environmental hazard levels tend to improve employee performance. Companies need to increase 5S socialization and training and strengthen occupational safety systems to create a productive and safe environmental hazard level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze defect rates of ring piston products on Line B-KEN at PT XYZ and formulate quality improvement recommendations using the Six Sigma method. High defect rates, such as cracks, undersize, and oversize, directly impact quality costs and productivity. This applied research employs a quantitative approach through the DMAIC cycle (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). Data were collected from 2021–2024 production records, field observations, and interviews. DPMO calculations indicate that process capability is not yet optimal, with cracks identified as the dominant defect. Pareto and fishbone diagram analyses reveal that human, machine, method, and material factors are the primary root causes. Proposed improvements include SOP standardization, operator training, machine parameter control, and strengthened process supervision. Implementing these strategies is expected to reduce defect rates and enhance sustainable production stability.

Abstract

The rapid development of the digital economy has shifted the source of competitive advantage from physical assets to the ability of organizations to process data into valuable information and insights. This is crucial because many organizations possess abundant data but are unable to utilize it as a source of strategic value, differentiation, and business model innovation. This study examines the role of Big Data Analytics (BDA) in facilitating the transformation of data into insights that support organizational value creation. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on PRISMA guidelines for 31 articles from 2020–2025. The results of the study indicate that the value of Big Data does not come from the data itself, but from a structured processing process supported by organizational capabilities such as absorptive capacity, a data-driven culture, knowledge sharing, and strategic agility. These capabilities enable the effective utilization of insights to improve decision quality, market understanding, services, and sustainable business innovation.

Abstract

This research focuses on the development of aluminide-based alloy materials for high-temperature applications in the aviation and aerospace sectors. Aluminide alloys, such as TiAl and NiAl, are known for their excellent oxidation resistance and mechanical properties at high temperatures, but still face challenges regarding toughness at room temperature. This research aims to optimize alloy composition and manufacturing methods, particularly through additive manufacturing approaches, to enhance material performance under extreme conditions. The methods used include alloy composition design, fabrication using powder metallurgy and additive manufacturing, as well as mechanical property and oxidation resistance testing. The research results indicate that the addition of alloying elements such as Nb and Mo can improve oxidation resistance and microstructural stability at high temperatures. This research also contributes to the development of the material research ecosystem in Indonesia and can support self-reliance in the production of high-temperature materials for the aviation and aerospace sectors.

Abstract

This research focuses on the analysis of the design and manufacture of an air filter cleaning tool for Hino trucks using compressed air as the cleaning medium. Generally, the air filter cleaning process is carried out by spraying air from the outside to the inside, so that some dust remains in the deepest layer of the filter. In this research, a tool was developed that allows the air spray direction to be reversed, namely from the inside of the filter to the outside, so that dirt particles can be removed more effectively. Test results conducted at PT. XYZ showed that cleaning time can be shortened from three minutes to one minute, with more optimal cleaning results. This tool is manually operated and all components are made from very strong local materials. This innovation is expected to be widely implemented in commercial vehicle workshops in Indonesia to improve efficiency, work safety, and the effectiveness of air filter maintenance.
