Abstract

Background  : Hypertension is common in adults but hypertension now occurs in adolescents. Prevalence of hypertension according to Semarang City Health Office teen age group has increased from 6,01% (2009) to 8,7% (2013). Preliminary survey with blood pressure measurement on 60 adolescents at SMAN 15 Semarang, 43,3% high blood pressureObjective : To know the effectiveness of nutritional counseling with pocket book media to knowledge, attitude about hypertension prevention, sodium and fiber feeding habit in adolescents at SMAN 15 Semarang. Method : Clinical nutrition study with quasi experimental research type and randomized pre and post test group control design. Number of sampelts 20 treatments and 20 controls. Data collected were data of knowledge, attitude, eating habits of sodium and fiber. The analysis used to test the average difference in the treatment and control group using the Independent t-test. Results: The result of post test of knowledge of treatment group 100% good and control group 30% good. Post test attitude of treatment group 55% support and control group 50% support. Post test feeding habits sodium treatment group 55% good and control group 10% good. Post test feeding habits fiber group treatment 25% good and control group 10% good.Conclusion: Nutrition counseling with pocket book is effective to improves knowledge and eating habits of sodium but is not effective at improving fiber eating attitudes and habits. Efforts to prevent hypertension need to be done cooperation between BK with Local Health Center to do filtering especially hypertension.

Abstract

Background: Globalization leads to dietary deviations and physical activity that affect overweight. Preliminary study (2018) shows the prevalence of overweight according to Body Mass Index (IMT) at age 18 years old at Nutrition student of Poltekkes Kemenkes Semarang 17,2%. Obesity is closely related to body mass index and blood sugar levels. Lack of physical activity as one of the factors that trigger the incidence of obesity. Physical activity such as moderate aerobic aerobic exercise can leads to decreased saving fat so that automatically lose weight that will affect BMI and blood sugar levels during (GDS).Objective: To know the influence of moderate aerobic aerobic exercise on body mass index and blood sugar level in overweight student at Nutrition Department of Poltekkes Kemenkes Semarang. Methods: The type of research is True-Experimental with pre and post-control group design design. Sampling using random sampling technique to get 17 treatment samples and 17 control samples. The data collected were anthropometric data, energy intake and physical activity. The statistical tests used were Paired t-test, Wilcoxon, independent t-test and Mann Whitney test.Results: There was no difference in BMI in both treatment and control groups before and after medium intensity aerobic exercise p = 0.221 and control group p = 0.260. There was a difference of GDS in the treatment group before and after medium intensity aerobic exercise p = 0.018 and control group p = 0.041. There was no difference of IMT decrease between treatment and control group (p value = 0,994). There was no difference of GDS decrease between treatment and control group (p value = 0.679).Conclusion: There was no difference of IMT decrease between treatment and control group (p value = 0,994). There was no difference of GDS decrease between treatment and control group (p value = 0.679).

Abstract

Background : Stunting is a linear growth disorder in which a short or very short body condition that occurs due to malnutrition and recurrent disease over a long period of time during the fetus for the first 2 years. The factors that influence stunting are the level of energy, and protein adequacy, breastfeeding, administration of IMD, and administration of vitamin A. Objective: To determine the relationship between energy adequacy, protein adequacy, breastfeeding, initiation of early breastfeeding, and vitamin A capsule administration with the incidence of stunting in children aged 6-23 months in Demak Regency. Method: This type of research is an observational study with a cross sectional design. This study uses secondary data from surveys of nutritional status assessment and monitoring of nutritional consumption carried out in 2017. The data collected was the level of energy, and protein adequacy, breastfeeding, administration of IMD, and vitamin A administration for children under five were toddlers aged 6-23 months in Demak Regency. The results of the analysis used descriptive analysis with numerical and categorical data, and analytical analysis using multivariate analysis with multiple logistic regression test. Results: The results of multivariate analysis showed that the level of energy sufficiency lacked risk of 3,756 stunting, the level of protein sufficiency lacked a risk of 4,781 times stunting, non-exclusive breastfeeding had a stunting risk of 2,054, adherence was not done and IMD had a risk of 2,708 times stunting, and not given vitamin A tablets have a risk of 23.5 times stunting. The overall analysis of the variables carried out with the results that giving vitamin A had the most dominant results was 23.5 times the incidence of stunting.Conclusion: The results of the analysis get the overall results of the variables at risk of stunting. However, the dominant variable in stunting in infants is giving vitamin A capsules

Abstract

Background: Consumption of vegetables and fruit among school age children is still low due to lack of knowledge and attitudes about vegetables and fruit. Nutrition education can be provided to increase knowledge and attitudes as early as possible. Nutrition education using puzzle media is expected to increase knowledge and form a positive attitude about vegetable and fruit consumption.Objective: To determine the effect of nutrition education using puzzle media towards knowledge and attitudes about vegetables and fruit in elementary school children.Methods: This was a quasi-experimental study with pretest-posttest control group design. Fourty elementary school children were divided into two groups. The treatment group received nutrition education using puzzle media and a control group received nutrition education without puzzle media. Knowledge and attitudes were assessed before and after the study based on scores. Data were analyzed using Paired T-Test and Independent Sample T-Test.Results: The average score od knowledge in the treatment group increase by 18.25 points and the control group scre increased by 12.25 points. The mean score of attitudes in the treatment group increased by 14.45 points and the control group (p=0.014) and the attitude scores between the treatment group and the control group (p=0.003)Conclusion: Nutrition education using puzzle media can increase knowledge and attitudes about vegetables and fruit in elementary school children.Keywords: Nutrition education; Puzzle media; Vegetable and fruit; Knowledge; Attitude.

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Overweight dan obesitas pada remaja merupakan salah satu faktor pemicu timbulnya penyakit tidak menular dan kemungkinan akan meningkatkan potensi kejadian obesitas di masa dewasa sebesar 50%-80. Hasil Riskesdas 2018 mengungkapkan bahwa prevalensi nasional remaja usia 13-15 tahun mengalami kenaikan sejak tahun 2013.Tujuan :Mengetahui efektivitas pemberian edukasi gizi melalui media e-booklet gizi seimbang terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan dan sikap pada siswa SMA.Metode : Jenis penelitian adalah quasi experiment dengan rancangan pretest posttest group design. Jumlah responden masing masing kelompok sebanyak 22 responden. Waktu penelitian selama 4 minggu. Data penelitian yang dikumpulkan yaitu pengetahuan dan sikap siswa mengenai gizi seimbang melalui pengisian google form secara online. Analisis statistik menggunakan uji Paired t test dan Wilcoxon.Hasil : Peningkatan rerata skor pengetahuan kelompok kontrol sebesar 2,95 ± 0,758, sedangkan pada kelompok perlakuan sebesar 15,68 ± 3,022. Peningkatan rerata skor sikap pada kelompok kontrol mengalami penurunan sebesar -0,77 ± 0,1121, sedangkan pada kelompok perlakuan mengalami peningkatan sebesar 0,209 ± 0,0401.Terdapat pengaruh edukasi gizi seimbang melalui media e-booklet terhadap pengetahuan gizi p = 0,000 (p 0,05) dan terdapat pengaruh edukasi gizi seimbang melalui media e-booklet terhadap sikap gizi p = 0,001 (p 0,05)Kesimpulan : E-booklet efektif sebagai media edukasi gizi seimbang dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap gizi.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Penyakit tuberkulosis paru merupakan masalah kesehatan yang perlu ditangani dengan baik karena tingkat kematian dan morbiditas yang tinggi. Salah satu upaya untuk mencegah tuberkulosis paru adalah pengobatan yang teratur dan meningkatkan status gizi yang optimal.Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi dari kepatuhan gizi dan asupan obat dengan status gizi pasien TB paru, karena berdasarkan survey pendahuluan pada 10 pasien dengan TB paru di klinik DOTS RSUD. dr. R. Soeprapto Cepu memiliki status malnutrisi dengan Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) 16,075 kg / m2.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif korelasi dengan rancangan cross sectional. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan metode recall 3x24 jam pada 70 pasien dengan TB paru di klinik DOTS sebagai subyek penelitian.Hasil: Hasil analisis dengan uji chi-square antara asupan energi, asupan protein, dan kepatuhan obat dengan status gizi menunjukkan nilaip 0,05 sehingga terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara variabel.Kesimpulan : Ada hubungan antara asupan protein energi dan kepatuhan obat dengan status gizi pasien TB paru.

Abstract

The prevalence of adolescents with obesity is 4.8%. Nutrition knowledge andadolescent attitudes are the factors that can affect obesity. Video plays a vital media forconveying nutrition-related information. This was  experimental with pre-posttest control group design. Subjects were 48 juniorhigh school students  divided into 2 groups randomly. The treatment group receiving nutritioneducation by video (n=24) and the control group using poster (n=24). A statistical analysis ofWilcoxon and paired t-test were used to analyze difference before and after treatmentrespectively, while the group different was analyzed using Mann Whitney and independent ttest.Theaverageknowledgescoreintreatmentgroupincreasedby17.29points(p=0,000)andin control group by 7.71 point (p=0.000) from baseline. The average attitude score intreatment group increased by 10.16 points (p=0.000) and in control group by 3.96 point(p=0.003) from baseline. A significant different in the score of knowledge between thetreatment and control group (p=0.015) was observed. The score of attitude between thetreatment and control group was also significantly different (p=0.012).  Nutrition education using video media may an effective approach to increaseknowledge and attitudes of obesity aspect in the adolescence.  Keywords: Obesity; Knowledge; Attitude; Video; adolescents

Abstract

Background : Maternal mortality in 2015, in Banyumas, 21, 14% was caused by bleeding, and one of the causes was anemia. Achievement of blood tablet supplementation of 90 tablets, Banyumas Regency in 2015, has reached 89.26%, but the percentage of anemia pregnant women is still 42%. While Sumpiuh II health center, the achievement of tablet distribution increased blood by 90, already 70, 69%, but anemia pregnant women were still 97, 75%.Objective : To determine the effect of nutritional counseling on blood tablet consumption and Hb levels in second and third trimester pregnant women in the Sumpiuh II Health Center areaMethods : this study included community nutrition research. This type of research, quasi experimental, uses a non-randomized design pre and post control group design. Number of respondents were 20 cases and 20 controls. Data include the amount of blood tablet consumption and Hb levels. Test used, Wilcoxon and paired t test. Whereas to see the effect of counseling on the number of tablets consumed by blood and Hb levels, using Mann Whitney, with a confidence degree of 95%.Results : Pregnant women consumed 100% blood-added tablets before counseling, 42.9%, in the intervention group, and 71.4% in the control group. After counseling, 76.2% in the intervention group and 61.9% in the control group. While Hb levels, before counseling, 38.1% of pregnant women with anemia in the intervention group, and 42, 9% in the control group. After counseling, it became 23, 8%, in the intervention group and 33.3% in the control group.Conclusion : There is an effect of nutritional counseling on blood tablet supplement consumption in second and third trimester pregnant women, in the Sumpiuh II health center area, and there is no effect of nutritional counseling on Hb levels. It is recommended that there be research with different variables to determine the factors that influence the increase in Hb levels

Abstract

Latar belakang : Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) yang merupakan upaya pemberian layanan kepada anak usia 0-6 tahun melalui penitipan anak, kelompok bermain agar anak dapat tumbuh dan berkembang secara optimal. Stunting dapat menimbulkan gangguan tumbuh kembang anak.Faktor lain yang mempengaruhi adalah asupan zat besi dan seng serta pola asuh. Tujuan penelitian : Menjelaskan hubungan tingkat kecukupan zat besi, seng, kejadian stunting dan pola asuh dengan status perkembangan anak di PAUD wilayah kerja Puskesmas Tegowanu.Metode penelitian : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian bidang gizi masyarakat dengan pendekatan case control. Sampel penelitian adalah semua kasus dan kontrol dengan perbandingan 1 kasus dan 1 kontrol. Responden penelitian adalah ibu dari sampel. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi tingkat kecukupan zat besi seng, kejadian stunting, dan sikap pengasuhan. Uji yang digunakan adalah Chi Square dengan α = 0,05.Hasil : Tingkat kecukupan zat besi yang kurang pada kelompok kemungkinan ada penyimpangan sebesar 85,7% dan kelompok sesuai tahap sebesar 52,4%. Tingkat kecukupan seng yang kurang pada kelompok kemungkinan ada penyimpangan sebesar 85,7% dan kelompok sesuai tahap sebesar 57,1%. Kejadian stunting pada kelompok kemungkinan ada penyimpangan sebesar 38,1% dan kelompok sesuai tahap sebesar 9,5%. Sikap pengasuhan negatif pada kelompok kemungkinan ada penyimpangan sebesar 52,4% dan kelompok sesuai tahap sebesar 33,3%.Kesimpulan : Ada hubungan antara tingkat kecukupan zat besi dengan status perkembangan (p=0,019, OR= 5,455). Ada hubungan antara tingkat kecukupan seng dengan status perkembangan (p=0,040, OR= 4,500). Ada hubungan antara kejadian stunting dengan status perkembangan (p=0,030, OR= 5,846). Tidak terdapat hubungan antara sikap pengasuhan dengan status perkembangan (p=0,212).Saran : Kepada tenaga kesehatan yang bertugas di Puskesmas untuk melakukan penyuluhan tentang pentingnya kecukupan zat besi dan seng kepada ibu balita.
