Abstract

West Sumatra Province is one of the provinces in Indonesia that is very rich in its natural beauty, making this area one of the popular tourist destinations for local and foreign tourists. The large number of tourists who come has a very good impact on the Province of West Sumatra, especially for the economic sector. Increased regional income and growing economic activity of the community is very much influenced by the presence of these tourists. In this study, the author uses one method to make predictions or forecasting, namely the Cheng Fuzzy Time Series method. The actual data used is the number of tourists from 2015 to 2017, and the process of predicting the number of tourists will be carried out for 2019 until 2021. From the results of calculations that have been done using this method, good performance conclusions are generated, in the range of MAPE 10% - 20%, which is an error value of 14.61%. With an absolute error value of 5.26 and the value of predictive accuracy is 85.39%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of Direct Instruction model of perception and psychomotor learning outcomes in science learning physics class VIII student at SMP 18 Pekanbaru in the academic year 2011/2012 semester on the subject matter of light reflection. The research was conducted by the research design Postest-Only Control Design. The population in this study were all students in grade school N 18 Pekanbaru VIII and VIIIA-class research samples and VIIIG. The research instrument used was the study and data collection instrument. Data collection techniques are tests of psychomotor learning outcomes and the provision of a questionnaire administered after the learning process is completed. Data were analyzed through descriptive and inferential analysis. From the results of descriptive analysis of data obtained by the average absorption of psychomotor skills of physics students in science class and the class of experiments is very good control and effectiveness in the category of very effective learning.Exhaustiveness experimental class learning objectives stated otherwise completed while control classes are not complete. Of inferential analysis is performed based on hypothesis testing of learning outcomes of students psychomotor obtained tcount = 9.293 and = 1.688 TTable. In order to obtain student perceptions questionnaire t count = 6.055 and = 1.667 TTable. Psychomotor learning outcomes and student perceptions based on inferential test above the 95% confidence level.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan efektifitas penggunaan media e-Learning berbasis tutorial dalam proses pembelajaran produktif SMK pada matapelajaran teknologi layanan jaringan pada materi komunikasi dalam jaringan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X SMK Negeri 3 Kota Pekanbaru. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan diantaranya tes pemahaman konsep, angket motivasi dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan tingkat pemahaman konsep peserta didik dengan nilai rata-rata sebelum menggunakan media adalah 65,5 dan nilai rata-rata setelah menggunakan media adalah 87,5. Berdasarkan analisis inferensial, didapatkan bahwa thitung > t­, dengan nilai thitung = 3,65 dan ttabel = 2,04 pada taraf kesalahan 5%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, maka dapat dismpulkan bahwa pembelajaran komunikasi dalam jaringan dengan menggunakan media e-Learning berbasis tutorial sangat efektif untuk dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik.

Abstract

This research was aimed at knowing whether: 1) The students taught by PQRST technique have significantly higher reading comprehension on procedure text than those who are taught by QAR technique; 2) The students with high interest taught by PQRST technique have significantly higher reading comprehension on procedure text than those who are taught by QAR technique; 3) The students with low interest taught by PQRST technique have significantly higher reading comprehension on procedure text than those who are taught by QAR technique at grade VII of SMPN 2 Padang; 4) Is there any interaction between PQRST and QAR techniques with students’ interest toward reading comprehension of procedure texts? The background of doing this research was that the students got difficulties in comprehending texts namely getting problem in finding accurate information from the texts. Besides, they also had difficulty in remembering the vocabularies that have been learned to the mind. These phenomena were caused by the students’ low capability in memorizing the vocabularies got from the text and the inappropriate teaching reading techniques applied by the teachers so that these made the students’ score and interest on reading comprehension low. In this case, PQRST and QAR techniques could be applied in teaching to help the students comprehend the texts. This research was quasi-experimental research. The population of this research was the students of grade VII of SMPN 2 Padang consisting 184 students spreading in six classes. The sample of this research was taken by using intact group sampling because the students had been grouped into their classes together and taught with the same curriculum and materials, namely 30 students at experimental group (class VII.4) and 30 students as control group (class VII.1). The data of the research were collected through test (pretest and posttest), and questionnaire, and then analyzed using Chi-Square test for normality data testing, variance test for homogeneity data testing and t-test for hypothesis testing. The result of this research showed that: 1) The students taught by PQRST technique have significantly higher reading comprehension on procedure text than those who are taught by QAR technique; 2) The students with high interest taught by PQRST technique have significantly higher reading comprehension on procedure text than those who are taught by QAR technique; 3) The students with low interest taught by PQRST technique have significantly higher reading comprehension on procedure text than those who are taught by QAR technique at grade VII of SMPN 2 Padang; 4) There is an interaction between PQRST and QAR techniques with students’ interest toward reading comprehension of procedure texts. Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) persepsi mahasiswa tentang implementasi teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dalam pembelajaran, (2) kemampuan dosen tentang pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dalam pembelajaran. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan expost facto dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa dengan jumlah 21 orang dan 7 orang dosen program studi pendidikan IPA. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) persepsi mahasiswa terkait pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi termasuk pada proses pembelajaran program studi pendidikan IPA dalam katergori sangat baik dan, (2) kemampuan dosen dalam pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi untuk proses pembelajaran di program studi pendidikan IPA termasuk dalam katergori sangat baik.

Abstract

Bullying is negatif agresif character to cover and hurt someone physically or physicology continoustly to act hard to other people who is lower than him. Some parents ignore this problem because of unknowing about the result of this problem that give negative effect to their children and other people. This system will identificate early the begining bullying character for teenager by knowing the kinds of the bullying character base on rate of presentation of higest quartel who has bullying character. This system designed by using Dempster-Shafer teory to know the begining of bullying character by using basic knowledge and forward chaining technic to know more about basic knowledge. Counting of this metodh by combining some symptoms that happen on children by calculating the possibillity disturbing by rating the symptoms from 0 to 1. Implementation of this system use PHP program and My SQL database. The black box trial on the consultation modul is done by using 12 instruments of trial and found error value 0,88 % on the system and result of the trial expert system have suitable accuration 84 % , so we can conclude that this expert system for early identification for suspect bullying on teenager good for use.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar biologi siswa tahun kedua di SMAN 10 Pekanbaru tahun akademik 2008/2009 dengan Coopeartive Teams Games Tournaments (TGT). Teams Games Tournament: Suatu pendekatan dimana siswa memainkan permainan dengan anggota tim lain untuk memperoleh tambahan poin pada skor mereka. Permainan disusun dengan pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang sesuai dengan pelajaran yang dirancang untuk menguji pengetahuan yang diperoleh siswa dari penyampaian di kelas dan kegiatan-kegiatan kelompok ( Slavin, 1995). Salah satu yang menjadi kunci keberhasilan dalam belajar adalah hasil yang optimal, yang merupakan tujuan utama dalam proses belajar mengajar. Agar diperoleh hasil yang optimal dalam proses belajar mengajar maka seorang guru juga dituntut dapat menguasi model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kondisi siswa sehingga dapat menarik minat serta kreatifitas siswa dan nantinya akan berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar biologi siswa kelas VIII6 tahun kedua di SMPN 8 Pekanbaru tahun akademik 2011/2011 melalui penerapan pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing (guided inquiry).Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam siklus dari Januari hingga Februari 2012. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 36 siswa. Progeressing pada siklus 1 (78,01%) ke siklus 2 (84,26%), adalah (6,25%) dan ketuntasan klasikal siswa juga meningkat pada siklus 1 (77,77%) menjadi siklus 2 (91,66%) maka terjadi peningkatan (13,89%).

Abstract

This article aims to explain the conceptualization of reading texts and the use of narrative texts in learning English by using a literature review method on reading theory, narrative text theory and reciprocal learning theory. One strategy that can be used in narrative text learning is reciprocal learning strategies. The search results on the theory and application of reciprocal learning strategies show that reciprocal learning has several advantages, namely student participation increases in class, students are more active, students enjoy collaboration in class, and students have more responsibility for themselves and classmates. Even in terms of interpersonal communication skills, students are more active in using English in class. Thus, it can be concluded that reciprocal learning strategies are very suitable for narrative text learning.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan pembelajaran idealnya adalah memandu siswa untuk dapat beradaptasi di dunia nyata, menjadi pemikir kritis dan kreatif, pemecah masalah, dan pengambil keputusan. Salah satu keterampilan berpikir adalah berpikir tingkat tinggi (higher order thinking). Kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi merupakan suatu kemampuan berpikir yang membutuhkan kemampuan lain yang lebih tinggi, seperti kemampuan analisis, evaluasi, dan mencipta. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat tingkat kemempuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa SMA kelas X di kota Solok yang diukur dengan soal-soal PISA 2006 yang difokuskan pada konten biologi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas X di dua sekolah di kota Solok yaitu pada sekolah akreditasi A dan B. Sampel berjumlah 53 orang siswa yang diambil dengan menggunakan metode cluster random sampling. Dari penelitian didapatkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa kelas X di kota Solok masih “kurang sekali”, karena persentase yang didapatkan adalah 32,08% (rendah sekali ≤54% ).
