Abstract

Non-hemorrhagic stroke patients who do not get optimal treatment will experience disability or physical weakness such as paralysis and weakened muscle strength, which results in a lack of joint range of motion, limb function, and decreased daily life activities. One of the ROM techniques to help recover the upper extremities to stimulate the hands, can be done with cylindrical grip exercises which are functional hand exercises by grasping a cylindrical object in the palm of the hand which aims to support the recovery of the ability to move and function of the hand. Objective: This case repost aims to determine the effect of giving cylindrical grip to stroke ptients to increase muscle strengt in the upper extremities. Method: The method used is a descriptive case report design based on Evidance Based Nursing (EBN) conducted on two subjects with non-hemorrhagic stroke. Results: After the implementation of ROM exercise nursing: cylindrical grip for 3 days in each patient starting from 18-22 September 2023 which was carried out for 5 minutes and repeated 7 times, changes were obtained in the muscle strength of Mrs.M's right hand which was originally 3 to 4 and Mr.W which was originally left hand muscle strength 2 to 4. Conclusions: ROM Exercise: Cylindrical grip can improve upper extremity muscle strength in non-hemorrhagic stroke patients.

Abstract

Caring behavior should consistently be applied by nurses in all care settings, including pediatric inpatient wards.Children undergoing hospitalization will experience traumatic and highly stressful events, this condition can lead to anxiety in parents. Caring can reduce anxiety for both the child and parents. Furthermore, if nurses implement caring optimally, patients will feel satisfied, leading to an improvement in the quality of nursing services. This research aims to identify the relationship between nurses' caring behavior and parental satisfaction and anxiety in pediatric inpatient wards. The research design utilizes descriptive correlational with a cross-sectional approach involving 97 parents sampled through quota sampling. The instrument for measuring caring behavior uses the Caring Assessment Tools (CAT), a satisfaction questionnaire containing five SERVQUAL dimensions, and a parental anxiety questionnaire using the Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale. Sprearman rank was used as data analysis. The research results indicate that almost all respondents (90.7%) do not feel anxious, the majority of respondents (75.3%) are highly satisfied with the service, and most of respondentds (62.9%) assess nurses' caring behavior as adequate. Spearman-ranks test results show a significant relationship between anxiety and satisfaction with nurses' caring behavior (p=0.036 & p=0.001). These findings suggest that the better the nurses' caring behavior, the lower the level of parental anxiety, and the higher the patient satisfaction in the pediatric inpatient ward. Nurses need to undergo training and develop caring attitudes and behaviors in delivering nursing services.

Abstract

Spiritual care for cancer pain is an intervention to address the spiritual needs of patients with cancer in managing pain. Despite numerous studies conducted in this area, the diversity of spiritual care interventions for cancer pain remains a challenge. Objective: This literature review aimed to identify spiritual care interventions for cancer patients in managing pain. Method: The database used Scopus, Pubmed, Proquest, Science Direct, and Google Scholar. The keywords used were “spiritual care” OR “spiritual therapies” OR “spiritual healing” OR “faith healing” OR “spiritual intervention” OR “religious intervention” AND “cancer pain” OR “cancer-related pain” OR “neoplasm-related pain” OR “oncology pain. The search was limited to articles published between 2011 and 2021, resulting in the identification of 6642 articles, which only 10 met the inclusion criteria. The selected articles underwent critical appraisal using JBI tools. Results: This literature review showed that the types of spiritual care interventions consist of yoga, psychoreligious intervention, mindfulness, music therapy, and therapeutic touch, and the primary outcomes of spiritual care are pain levels. Conclusions: This literature review showed the interventions were very diverse in all types of cancer. Therefore, a spiritual care intervention study on managing pain with a specific type of cancer is needed.

Elderly is an aging process with increasing individual age characterized by a decrease in the function of organs such as the brain, heart, liver and kidneys and increased loss of active body tissue in the form of body muscles. The decline in organ function in the elderly is due to a decrease in the number and ability of body cells, so that the ability of body tissues to maintain normal function disappears, so they cannot defend against infection and repair damage suffered (Fatmah, 2010). The purpose of this study was to identify the Guidance Imagery Distraction Technique on Reducing Anxiety Levels in Elderly People with Hypertension in Rt 010 / Rw 005 Lenteng Agung South Jakarta Year 2023.This type of research uses a quantitative type research design with a research design using pre-experiment. The population in the study was elderly with hypertension as many as 39 people in RT 010 / RW 05 Lenteng Agung The sample technique used was putposive sampling and data analysis using paired sample t-test. The results of this study indicate that after being given guided imagery techniques, the majority experienced a decrease in anxiety levels, namely mild anxiety as many as 11 elderly people (73.3%) and respondents who experienced moderate anxiety as many as 4 elderly people (46.7%). anxiety in elderly people with hypertension in RT 010 In RT 010 /RW 05 Lenteng Agung before being given the Guided Imagery distraction technique, the majority experienced severe anxiety. Abstract

VIA (Visual Acetic Acid Inspection) is a type of examination to detect cervical cancer. There are several factors that can cause positive VIA results and every couple of childbearing age (PUS) should carry out early detection of cervical cancer once a year, one of which is through an VIA examination. However, unfortunately there are still many couples of childbearing age who have not done so and when the examination is carried out, some of the results are positive and are even in an advanced stage. The Objective of this study was to determine the relationship between delivery method and birth control history with the results of VIA examination (visual inspection of acetic acid). This type of observational analytic research, cross-sectional design. The research population was all couple of childbearing age (PUS) in Malang Regency. The inclusion criteria were carrying out a VIA examination at the Polowijen Malang Community Health Center and having given birth. The sample consisted of 34 respondents. The research was carried out on November 8 2023. Data was collected by conducting interviews about birth methods and family planning history as well as conducting VIA examinations. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. There is no relationship between the method of delivery and the results of the VIA examination which is statistically significant with a P value = 0.223. Vaginal delivery does not always cause cervical injury which is needed by HPV to penetrate the transformation zone which can gradually lead to precancerous lesions or positive VIA results. There is no relationship between history of family planning use and VIA examination results which is statistically significant with p value = 0.994. Women who have never used hormonal or non-hormonal contraception can also experience precancerous lesions or positive VIA examination results.

In addition to the physical, public acceptance of the existence of ODHA is also a factor related to the quality of life socially. The role of KDS is needed to improve the quality of life of ODHA. This study aims to determine the relationship of the Peer Support Group Role with the Quality of Life of ODHA in the Family Planning Association of Indonesia in Palangka Raya city. This research is a correlational research using cross sectional approach. The sample in this study amounted to 30 people determined by purposive sampling technique. Data collection using questionnaires with Likert Scale approach for WHOQOL-BREF and WHOQOL-BREF roles that have been standardized for quality of life. Data analysis using Spearman's Rank test statistic. The results of data analysis show that not all domains of 4 domains of quality of life have a significant relationship. Significant relation is found only in environmental domain with sig <α value is 0.03 <0.05 which means there is a significant relationship between the role of peer group and the quality of life of ODHA, in the environment domain. The conclusion of the study is that the role of KDS only relates to the quality of life of ODHA in the domain of the environment, not on the physical, psychological, and social relationships. Researchers suggest, the results of research used by PKBI to take policy in improving the quality of life of ODHA.
