Abstract

Media in the process of producing and delivering information in the form of broadcasting programs to targeted consumers. The facts show that media has grown not only as a social, political and cultural tool but also as a company that emphasizes economic benefits. The production process of broadcast or television involves several elements such as labor, equipment, time and other related resources that require large capital. While the Media as an institution that lives in the public sphere with challenges to realize public space in society. The research method used is a Case Study where researchers collect data, take meaning, and gain understanding from interviews with some of the staff involved. The results showed that the management of Elshinta TV was able to carry out its function as a business institution, as evidenced by the achievement of surplus value which evidenced by the bigger advertising sales revenue than the production costs of the program. But it has not been able to ideally realize the public sphere in the midst of modern society. The suggestion of this research is to encourage TV stations not only to gain profit, but also to seriously answer the challenges of realizing public space in society.

Abstract

We are currently in the modern era, where the era is all sophisticated, sophisticated and easy. New media or new media are media whose development and progress are accompanied by sophisticated technology. Currently, there are many social media applications that are used by many people. One of them is a social media application, namely video snacks. is a short video-based social media application with various features and video content. In addition to providing these music videos, this application can also give free money to its users. The purpose of this study was to determine user acceptance of video snack applications for video snacks. This study uses a qualitative method, with the reception analysis method, the number of informants using 5 people, with data collection techniques through interviews. The result of this research is the acceptance of 3 informants from 5 informants tend to be in a dominant hegemonic position and 2 people are in a negotiating position.

Abstract

The current development of films and drama series as mass media has a role as an effective form for conveying a message and “Mega Series Suara Hati Istri: Zahra” is one that raises a discussion with gender issues in the form of social relations between women and men. This drama series also tells the culture of polygamy and women's role is still dominated by men in social life. Based on this description, this research is built on the issue of gender and the role of women which represented in the media. The research uses Sara’s Mills discourse analysis in order to see how women represented in a polygamy genre. Focused on the micro features to analyzed how women represented by level such as subject-object position and director-viewers position. There are ten scene in total which analyzed and described by the visual images, forming dialog into text to analyze it from the text form , and also the symbols that shown in by the scenes. Based on the methods, in this research was found that there are differences in the position of women and men in the practice of polygamy where the men’s role is dominance. the formation of this drama series, which is considered to reflect the values of everyday life as well by depicting the position of women as discourse which seen from the position of the reader role and is considered by the director.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the use of Kato nan Ampek in the Kenagarian Talawi community in communicating based on ethnographic studies. This research was conducted to describe, analyze and find out how communication is carried out using Kato nan Ampek in the Kenagarian Talawi community. This study uses an understanding of qualitative methods, where this method aims to explain a socio-cultural phenomenon from ethnographic studies and participant perspectives, with data collection techniques that include interviews, field observations and documentation. The data validity technique used triangulation technique. The informants in this study were four people who understood Minangkabau cultural customs, which consisted of the Chairman of the Talawi Density (KAN), the head of the Sumagek ​​and two Talawi youths who understood customs, as well as a high social sense of course they felt the changes in communication. The researcher uses three ethnographic study objects, namely communication activities, communication components and language varieties as the basis for analyzing research. The results of this study indicate that the use of Kato nan Ampek in Kenagarian Talawi is more commonly found in formal communication activities by looking at the participants in the communication component and the varieties of the Talawi regional language itself which is seen from the differences in dialect when communicating.

Abstract

In increasing marketing on social media, companies or brands have started to use the services of influencers as a strategy to promote their products or services. Influencers are used by a brand to provide information about the brand to its followers. The purpose of this study is to find out how influencers convey information about a product or service so that followers are interested in trying it so that they can increase sales. The research method used is to use a literature review approach and make observations on one of the influencers in Indonesia. With the influencer, the brand awareness of a product will increase which will affect sales.

Abstract

A marketing communication strategy is an activity carried out to market its products to be known by many people. A marketing mix is ​​a tool for a company to achieve the right target market. Marketing communication is essential to do to encourage the success of marketing activities. Banjarejo Tourism Village applies this to determine the development and improvement of tourism in Banjarejo Tourism Village. This research is located in Banjarejo Village, Gabus District, Grobogan Regency, Central Java. This study aimed to determine the marketing communication strategy used by Banjarejo Tourism Village via Instagram@desawisatabanjarejo. The results of this study indicate that the marketing communication strategy implemented by the Banjarejo Village government by utilizing social media Instagram uses the Kotler 7P marketing concept, including product, price, place, promotion, people, process, and physical evidence. Based on the marketing mix, five marketing strategies have been running well and maximally. Meanwhile, the two marketing mixes that are less than optimal are people and promotion. In this case, less than optimal does not mean in vain, only less effective in carrying it out. Behind that, in terms of place, it is very supportive of marketing in the Banjarejo Tourism Village.

Abstract

Digital literacy involved in social media management in government is unique and become something important for communicating within the community. With proper management of social media, information about government programs can be disseminated effectively and efficiently and can be directly responded to by the community as social media users. The formulation of the problem in this study is how to manage digital literacy in social media in Lebak Siliwangi and Cimahpar villages. The two urban villages were chosen for consideration as winners of the 2019 West Java Public Relations Cup, and have renewable social media activities. The results of the study concluded that the digital competence of social media managers in the Siliwangi and Cimahpar urban villages was considered sufficient, however, the level of competence was not at the professional level. The ability of social media management officers in the Siliwangi and Cimahpar urban villages is considered sufficient to be able to access and post information to residents. The desire to adopt content processing capabilities does exist but there are limited human resources. In disseminating information, officers are very careful disseminating information, by reconfirming the information to be posted to avoid misinformation.

Abstract

New media consitutes a new era from the media which continues to grow with various function that can be it will facilitate human especially in communicating. Communication was not only done to exchange information, but also as an intermediary in a relationship with other human. Even with the new media, a person can have a partner simply by making communication indirectly through digital platform. And one of them is Tinder, an application that designed to find a perfect partner for its user. It confront users who share the same passion for things they like and facilitates them a private room chat as a medium to get closer to each other. However, not all users end up in a romantic relationship. Therefore, this study will discuss what factors can affect a person's attraction to other people that allow them to establish a relationship. This study uses a netnographic method with a qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that the main factors that influence a person to want to have a relationship with another person are due to the similarity of personal characteristics and having known or been close to that person before thus enabling them to establish relationships.

Abstract

The issue of prostitution is a hot topic of discussion, because its existence raises pros and cons in society. Covert prostitution in Padang City is still a problem for the Padang City Government. The Padang City Government is carrying out countermeasures as a form of enforcing the Regional Regulations. Government communication is defined as a form of conveying government ideas, programs and ideas to the public with the aim of mutual welfare. Researchers looked at how the Padang City Government's communication experience in tackling covert prostitution in Padang City This study used a qualitative method and a phenomenological approach proposed by Edmund Husserl. The Padang City Government, through several OPDs (Satpol PP, Social Service, DP3AP2KB), has made efforts to tackle covert prostitution. His efforts include making routine arrests and raids on lodging locations and massage parlors. Perpetrators involved in prostitution will be immediately sent to the Andam Dewi rehabilitation center. Apart from that, they also carried out socialization in the form of direct communication at the sub-district level in Padang City. Communication experience The Padang City Government has attempted to tackle covert prostitution. coping efforts that are outreach, routine raids, sending to rehabilitation institutions, and informal communication through psychologists.

Abstract

This study summarizes the government's public relations activities carried out by the Ministry of Religion Public Relations at the time of reporting on the statement of the Minister of Religion on February 23, 2022. The activities carried out by public relations are then analyzed using crisis communication theory by utilizing digital platforms. The use of digital platforms such as social media can benefit the Ministry of Religion's PR to communicate in times of crisis because it is transparent, involves the public, and is more interactive. This journal aims to provide comprehensive information on the use of digital platforms by the ministry of religion in times of crisis by clarifying the framing of news framing online media cnnindonesia and detik.com .
