Abstract

In literary works, specifically movies, a character is one of the important elements. The development of this character is also important in supporting the storyline in a movie. Character development can be influenced by many factors. Therefore, this paper aims to find out what factors influence the character development and how these factors influence the character development of the main character in the movie. This study uses a qualitative method with sources from the original Flipped video and uses data collection techniques from online sources using the theory of family pattern of interactions by Guralnick. The results of this study indicate that: (1) 12 data indicate the factor that influences the character development of Bryce Loski and Juli Baker, the main character of the Flipped movie, is the family interaction factor. (2) Character development of Bryce Loski and Juli Baker is influenced through Parent-Child Transactions, Family-Orchestrated Child Experiences, and Health and Safety Provided by Family

Abstract

This study aims to develop a prototype CCU dictionary for BIPA students from China. In addition to language, BIPA students need to understand Indonesian culture because language and culture are related. Language can be mastered well if the culture that accompanies it is also well understood. This research is a mixed study with the ADDIE model development method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) to the development stage due to the limited time in this study. Needs analysis is done by using questionnaires and literature study. Then, the design and development of this prototype is carried out by taking into account the aspects of the material, presentation, as well as language and readability. The results of this study revealed that most BIPA students experienced culture shock because of the differences in Indonesian culture and the culture of the student country. There are 45 cross cultural understandings that BIPA students from China need to understand. The cross cultural understanding consists of 16 cultural similarities and 29 cultural differences. These cultural comparisons are presented in this developed CCU dictionary prototype. This CCU dictionary prototype is designed to be a material for creating applications as electronic learning media that can be accessed offline and contain images, audio, audio visuals, and text in it. This CCU dictionary prototype contributes to the BIPA teaching and learning process and it is beneficial for students, teachers, and institutions.

Abstract

The problem in this research is motivated by data about daily assessment questions that still use low-level abilities (LOTS), while 21st century learning requires students to have higher-order thinking skills. This research aims to develop and determine the theoretical and empirical validity of the HOTS questions on the human digestive system for class VIII SMP/MTs. The research conducted is a type of research development, this research produces HOTS questions on the Human Digestive System. The development of this HOTS question refers to the ADDIE model development procedure which consists of five stages, (analyze), (design), (development), (implementation) and (evaluation). This development research produces a product HOTS questions on the material of the human digestive system class VIII, which consists of 8 questions. The results of the average score percentage of theoretical validity by material experts, construction experts, and science teachers are 95.3%, 94.7%, and 98.7%, very valid categories. and empirical validity which contains the validity of the items with 8 questions declared valid, with an average score of 0.597, Reliability resulting in an average score of 0.627 being declared reliable, Distractor producing an average score of 18.7% with poor criteria, and discriminating power produce an average score of 0.35% with sufficient criteria. This shows that the product of HOTS questions that have been developed is feasible to use.

Abstract

This research aims to find, describe, interpret, and explain the ideology of women against the domination of patriarchy, myths and customs in Oka Rusmini's Tempurung novel as teaching materials for senior high school students. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This study uses critical discourse analysis as a blade of analysis. The data source in this study is the Tempurung novel by Oka Rusmini, published by PT. Gramedia Widiasarana Indonesia in 2017. The steps taken in data collection are as follows: read over and over the whole novel to understand its contents completely, record important words, sentences, or data related to the problem under study, record and collect relevant theories related to research, conduct research based on existing theories, and draw conclusions. The steps in data processing are as follows: data description, data classification, data analysis, data interpretation, and evaluation. The data analysis techniques used were: processing and presenting data, reading the entire data, coding the data and descriptions, interpreting and explaining the data. The findings in this study are that the Tempurung novel is a reflection of the ideology of women's resistance to the patriarchal system, the ideology of fighting against myths created by patriarchy, and the ideology of resistance to tradition. The resistence is done to obtain equality in their rights and obligations, so that women can get freedom like men. The female characters in the Tempurung novel fight against the domination of patriarchy, myths, and their own cultural customs in order to realize equal rights between men and women. These findings can be used in the creating of text-based teaching materials as learning materials in the senior high school. The application of the concept of critical discourse analysis in learning will contribute to students’ critical thinking in solving various problems in life.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengacu pada pembelajaran dengan alat peraga, alat peraga adalah sesuatu yang dapat dipergunakan untuk menyampaikan suatu informasi melalui rangsangan pikiran, fokus, dan kemauan siswa sehingga siswa terdorong untuk belajar. Penelitian eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan alat peraga jam sudut terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi sudut. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, menggunakan alat peraga jam sudut berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII, hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil analisis uji t nilai rata-rata dari 21 sampel adalah 36.19 saat pretest dan 52.62 saat posttest, yang berarti nilai rata-rata posttest lebih tinggi dari nilai pretest. Pada uji t test hasil yang dapat yaitu sig.2 tailed sebesar 0.000 < 0.05 yang berarti penggunaan alat peraga jam sudut berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelaas VIII pada materi sudut

Abstract

The retention of the in a development on the background is based on the problems facing learners want to create a media platform video based. This development research prompts to develop learning video by using application kinemaster on theme (hot and moving) subtheme 3 (spreader kalor of life) learning 1 a class 5 defence at SDN Sumorame methods used in this technology is research develop by using the ADDIE model belonging to Dick and Carry which is carried out through 3 stages, namely analysis including needs analysis and material analysis, design with a frame of reference in the from of (a) setting learning tools (b) making concept designs (c) preparation of questions and answer, development by collecting video-based learning media materials or materials such as (a) selection of illustrative images that match the material (b) typig text on the material (c) inserting supporting videos (d) inserting instruments (e) then proceeding with the help of supporting applications needed, without going through the implementation and evaluation stages due to the pandemic which cannot be carried out face to face bit online. The results of the research from material experts showed that the percentage results were 71 % and 80 %. So it can be concluded that the video learning based application kinemaster on theme 6 “hot and moving” subtheme 3 “spreader kalor of life” learning 1 grade 5 at SDN Sumorame is declared “valid” to be used.

Abstract

Pendidikan di Indonesia saat ini masih terbilang konvensional karena pembelajaran masih terpusat pada guru. Hal ini menjadi kendala bagi siswa untuk dapat berasumsi secara responsif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh penerapan metode STD terhadap tingkat pemahaman siswa pada materi "Kerjasama Ekonomi Internasional". Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen dan desain preexperimental design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI dari salah satu SMA di kota Bandung dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 8 orang. Metode pengumpulan informasi melalui pretest dan posttest dengan menggunakan aplikasi kahoot untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman siswa, serta pemberian kuesioner dengan skala likert kepada siswa sebagai bentuk respon siswa terhadap penerapan metode STD. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa penerapan metode STD berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat pemahaman siswa secara simultan dan parsial pada materi "Kerjasama Ekonomi Internasional".

Abstract

Salah satu faktor penentu yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa adalah model dan media pembelajaran. Efektivitas model pembelajaran inkuiri berbantuan media gambar ilustrasi dapat dijadikan alternatif bagi guru dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran inkuiri berbantuan media gambar ilustrasi terhadap kemampuan dalam mendeskripsikannjenis-jenis gaya dan manfaatnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian one group pre test-post test. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive yang terdiri dari 25 siswa di SD Negeri Waung 1 Kabupaten Tulungagung. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-uji relevan kependidikan meliputi uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji-t. Adapun hasil uji normalitas data diperoleh 0,662 > 0,05 pada kelas pre test dan 0,130 > 0,05 pada kelas post test, sehingga menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal. Hasil uji homogentias data diperoleh hasil 0,066 > 0,05 pada kelas pre test dan 0,196 pada kelas post test, sehimgga data memiliki homogenitas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil t-hitung sebesar 19,596 > 2,063 (t-tabel). Dengan demikian Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga terdapat perbedaan hasil antara pre tes dan post tes pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam materi tentang jenis-jenis gaya dan manfaatnya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

Problems in education often occur due to a weak learning process, namely the lack of student interestduring the learning process. This is because most teachers direct students to understand theory only.One solution to this problem is the existence of learning media. This study aims to describe the resultsof the development of modified flashcard media based on its practicality and effectiveness. Thisresearch is a development research that uses the ADDIE model which stands for analysis, design,development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of this study were junior high schoolstudents in grade VII. Practical data was obtained from student observations when using the media andthe distribution of student response questionnaires after using the media. Then effectiveness data wasobtained from student postests after studying the interaction material among living things usingmodified flashcard media. From the results of this study, it was found that modified flashcard media isvery practical with an average score of 93.2% and very effective with an average score of 87.1%. Thusthis learning media is very well used in the material of interaction among living things.

Abstract

This research referred to manipulative learning media which can be used to visualize abstract material. This research aimed to describe the effectiveness of learning mathematics regarding rectangular area using manipulative learning media. This research was quantitative descriptive research. The population in this study was 120 students of grade VII MTs Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Seblak Jombang while the sample was 21 students of grade VII D. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique with the consideration that grade VII D had the lowest average score in mathematics compared to other classes. Data were collected using test instrument to obtain student achievement data. The data were then analyzed descriptively and compared with the specified effectiveness criteria, that learning is said to be effective if the percentage of classical completeness exceeded 75%. The result of the research shows that the percentage of classical completeness is 85.7%, so it can be concluded that mathematics learning about the area of quadrilaterals is effective with manipulative learning media.
