Abstract

AbstractOne of the high school chemistry materials that contains concrete concepts, abstracts andinvolves mathematical calculations is solubility and solubility product (Ksp). Conceptualunderstanding is usually expressed in short sentences while understanding algorithms isexpressed by mathematical equations. Both of these understandings are closely related to oneanother so that to teach them requires the right learning strategies. Guided inquiry learningstrategies and Problem Solving are thought to be able to improve the conceptual understandingand algorithm understanding of students with Low Scientific Thinking Ability. This study aimsto determine differences in conceptual understanding with algorithm understanding of studentswith KBIR that are taught with guided inquiry strategies and Problem Solving. This study usesa quasi-experimental design with posttest only control group design. Data from the conceptualunderstanding and algorithm test results obtained from the test using 20 multiple choicequestions with a reliability coefficient of 0.71 and content validity of 93.17%. Data analysisusing t test and Product Moment correlation at a significance level of 5%. The results show thatThe learning outcomes of student with low scientific thinking ability that learned by guidedinquiry’s strategy is higher than the students that learned by problem solving’s strategy and Theunderstanding of algorithms of students with low scientific thinking ability is higher thanconceptual understanding both of which that learned by guided inquiry strategies and problemsolving strategies.Keywords: guided inquiry, problem solving, conceptual understanding, algorithmunderstanding, scientific thinking ability

Abstract

AbstractThis paper describes how to implement the character education in the classroom byusing the reading skill hortatory exposition text. At the beginning of the lesson, theteacher has to model one of the characters that the students have to adopt then to makethe students think creatively, the teacher shows a picture and asks them to share theirideas about it. After that, the teacher distributes a hortatory text that related to thepicture and consists of character education on it. The teacher guides the students tocomprehend the text and discuss what the text tells about. The teacher also introducessome character education on his/her steps of teaching. To make the students moreunderstand about the text, the teacher asks the students to work in pair to make asummary writing about the text and repot it in front of the class.by using their ownwords. Abstract

AbstractThis research is a qualitative description research which describe scaffolding to fix the juniorhigh students' error in solving mathematics problem. The research subject is 7th grade studentwhich represent mathematics ability in high, medium and low level. The result shows that thestudents' problem are (1) error in writing information of the problem, (2) error in writing theformula that is used in solving problem, and (3) komputational error. Scaffolding is used to fixthe students' problem. Those are (1) asking students to reread the problem, (2) givingdirectional question to students, (3)asking students to reflect their answer,and (4) askingstudents to recheck the result of their problem. Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the increase in students' understanding of conceptson the subject of pressure. This study was included in an experimental study with a controlgroup pre-test-post-test design. The population in this study were all eighth grade students ofMTsN 4 Jombang. The sample in this study was class VIII-A which amounted to 35 students asthe experimental class and VIII-B totaling 38 students as the control class. The researchinstruments were in the form of learning media questionnaires and tests of students' conceptualunderstanding. Testing the hypothesis using the t-test. the calculation results obtained by tcount= 2.569 and t table = 2.065 with a significant level of 0.05. This shows that tcount> t table.Thus the application of macromedia flash animation has an effect on the results of learningphysics subject matter pressure.Keywords: macromedia flash animation, learning outcomes, pressure

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to improve critical thinking through the development of social sciencesteaching material toward cultural diversity batik jenogoroan in students class VII SMPN 2Bojonegoro. The research was conducted in three stages following the draft Borg and Gall, thatis the preliminary studies aimed, the stage of product designing teaching materials students withthe module, and continued with the testing stage or stages of implementation in the classroomdesign was one group pretest-posttest design. Data from the research results obtained asfollows: (1) the feasibility of module based cultural diversity batik jenogoroan worthy usedthrough 3 expert validation test, the feasibility of module seen from three components: content,presentation, and language. The results of the validation of third validator namely: the averagescore of the content component 3.53, 3.40 linguistic components, and presentation componentsof 3.55. All three scores indicate good category/feasible, which means module based culturaldiversity-based batik jenogoroan can be used with minimal revision. (2) the effectiveness ofmodule toward cultural diversity batik jenogoroan can enhance students' critical thinking can beseen from the test results between the pre-test and post-test, the results showed that the averagescore pre test 72.13%, while the average score of post test 80.35%. The results of the pre-test topost-tets increased 8.22. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that based teachingmaterials cultural diversity batik jenogoroan can effectively improve critical thinking students'VII classes in social studies, especially on the matter of cultural diversity when seen from thetest results that have increased.Keywords: Teaching Materials, Cultural Diversity, Batik Jenogoroan, Critical Thinking

AbstractThe purposes of this study are: (1) to assess the of a mathematical disposition in a given threedomensional shapes after learning use of Project Based Learning approach; (2) to assess the ofmathematical communication in a given three domensional shapes after learning use of ProjectBased Learning approach; and (3) know the contribution of Project Based Learning approach tomathematical communication in three domensional shapes. The population of this study is alltwelve grade students of SMA Negeri Kabupaten Landak class XII. The selected samples areclass XII students. Abstract

AbstractSupervision generally refers to efforts to improve the situation in the teaching and learningprocess. Because the main aspect is the teacher, the service and professional activities must bedirected towards efforts to improve the ability of teachers to manage teaching and learningactivities. Supervision is the effort of school stakeholders to lead teachers and other educationpersonnel, to improve teaching including stimulating, selecting growth and development ofteacher positions, selecting and revising educational goals, teaching materials, and teachingmethods and teaching evaluation. Supervision in schools is carried out by the principal who actsas a supervisor, so he must be able to carry out various supervision and controls to improveteacher performance. In supervising, a supervisor should pay attention to important things,namely: (1) The process of supervision/supervision covers two things, namely setting standardsfor the implementation of work and measuring the results/implementation of work, (2)information and supervision, including: ( a) supervision as an information system, (b) types ofmonitoring information, (c) system approach in supervision. (3) effective supervision is basedon effective management information systems, (4) program evaluation, namely makingjudgements according to an agreed and accountable set of criteria, (5) the principles ofsupervision with a partnership atmosphere, practical, systematic, objective, realistic, helpful,creative, anticipatory, constructive, and cooperative, (6) supervision targets can be concerningactivities or aspects supervised and those who do them.Keywords: Learning Supervision, Performance, Teacher

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan motivasi belajar siswa SMA dalam pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar siswa SMA dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan model Brain Based Learning.. penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan motivasi belajar siswa pada kriteria baik terlihat dari persentase dari hasil skala motivasi siswa dari setiap indikator didominasi oleh persentase yang berada pada 51% - 75%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan ketuntasan belajar peserta didik setelah pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL); (2) mendeskripsikan pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Lerning (PBL) terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VII SMP. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling sebanyak 2 kelas dari 10 kelas. Pengambilan data dilakukan di semester 2 di kelas VII tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian quasy experimental design. Desain penelitian adalah posttest-only control design. Instrumen penelitian yaitu instrumen kuantitatif, berupa lembar soal posttest. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes berupa posttest. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata ketuntasan indikator pembelajaran pada kelas kontrol sebesar 76. Sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 89,3. Hasil belajar peserta didik dengan model pembelajaran PBL lebih tinggi dari hasil belajar peserta didik dengan metode ceramah yang didukung dengan perolehan uji-t yaitu thitung sebesar 4,770 ttabel 2,00. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning mempengaruhi hasil belajar peserta didik Kelas VII SMP.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aktivitas siswa, respon siswa dan ketuntasan belajar siswa, setelah mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran inquiry. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Instrument yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, Angket respon siswa dan tes hasil belajar yang telah divalidasi.Dari hasil pengumpulan data, hasil analisis data dan pembahasan menunjukkan aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran dalam kategori baik dengan rata-rata 3,37 yang kedua hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran berada dalam kategori positif dengan presentase rata-rata respon siswa yaitu 74%. Dan hasil penelitian ini juga menggambarkan efektivitas dengan ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal dengan presentase 86% yang menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dapat dikatakan tuntas secara klasikal. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ketiga indikator aktivitas, respon, dan ketuntasan belajar siswa berada pada kategori baik, positif, dan tuntas secara klasikal.
