Abstract

Currently, education is a crucial aspect of life. Technology has led to adaptations across various sectors, including higher education. One of these adaptations is the emergence of online attendance recording systems. IPB University has responded seriously to this by launching the IPB-Mobile for Student for Student app, which is equipped with a mobile-based self-attendance feature. Students can easily mark their attendance with just one click. However, this convenience is sometimes misused; one of the problems is students marking their attendance without attending classes. This issue has prompted a study into the effectiveness of the online attendance system in IPB-Mobile for Student for Student. Through the use of Short Versions of User Experience Questionnaires (UEQ-S) and interviews, it was found that the online attendance system is quite effective. Still, there is one aspect that makes this application quite complicated, thus requiring further updates

Abstract

This study focuses on the description, development, and determination of the feasibility level of a web-based management information system to assist in mapping students' achievements, talents, and interests. The benefits of developing a management information system can be felt from the perspective of students and schools, as it facilitates the management and mapping of achievements and helps schools improve accreditation. The development method used in this study refers to the 4-D development model, which has four stages: define, design, development, and deployment. The software testing results by software experts in terms of functionality showed a percentage of 100.00 per cent, and the media validation results showed a percentage of 90.00 per cent, with both criteria being very valid and feasible. The My Achievements website was implemented by 40 students from classes XI RPL 2 and XI TKJ 1 of SMKN 2 Singosari. User trial results showed a percentage of 82.20 per cent with good criteria. Meanwhile, the system usability scale test results showed a percentage of 84.70 per cent with good criteria. Based on the described data, it can be concluded that the My Achievements website has passed feasibility testing by software and media experts and is suitable for supporting the management, mapping of achievements, and dissemination of information for students at vocational high schools

Abstract

User acceptance is one of the factors that need to be considered in order to improve the quality of the online examination system. Therefore, an evaluation model is needed to measure online examination system user acceptance. The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) is one of the evaluation models used in this study. This study aims to determine the user acceptance of the web-based online examination system at Public VHS 4 Malang using the UTAUT factors. The UTAUT factors used are performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions as exogenous latent variables, and behavioral intention as an endogenous latent variable. The respondents in this study were students in the 12th grade of 2022/2023 school year. The total number of students was 274. The data obtained were analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method using SmartPLS 3 software. In this study, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and facilitating conditions have a positive and significant effect on behavioral intention, while social influence has a positive but insignificant effect on behavioral intention.

Abstract

Work readiness is highly important for prospective job seekers to become professionals in the working world. Some of them attend vocational schools (SMK) as preparation for entering the workforce. SMK offers industrial practice activities to familiarize students with the working world. Additionally, academic achievements are the results of students attending SMK. This research aims to find the correlation between industrial practice activities (x1) and academic achievements (x2) with work readiness (y). This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational model. The research sample is multimedia department students at SMKN 1 Depok who have already completed industrial practice activities. Hypothesis testing uses Spearman correlation and multiple correlation. The results indicate a significant correlation between x1 and y, no significant correlation between x2 and y, and a significant correlation between x1 and x2 simultaneously with y.

Abstract

In the industrial era 4.0, technology is utilised as much as possible to advance the welfare of life. One use of technology commonly used in education is online-based exams. In addition to saving paper, online-based exams can reduce operational costs in carrying out exams. Currently, many online-based exam models are used for various types of exams. Starting with the computer-based Test, CAT-based CPNS test, etc., researchers developed a method by utilising geolocation to run an online-based examination system. In this study, the author wants to utilise geolocation as one of the requirements for accessing needed resources; in this case, the online-based quiz system was adopted. Using geolocation in the online-based quiz system is expected to provide security for the examination system so that examiners can assess their students as best they can

Abstract

The main objective of this learning media development is to develop Responsive Web Design (RWD) based learning media with Pomodoro learning technique on web programming. The learning media is used to create learning media that is not monotonous, and students can learn independently with features such as Pomodoro time management, monitoring material that has been learned, live coding to learn coding practices, and quizzes to monitor student understanding. This research and development uses the Plomp development model reference which consists of 5 stages, namely (1) preliminary investigation, (2) design phase, (3) realization/construction phase, (4) test, evaluation, and revision phase, and (5) implementation phase. Products that have been produced in the form of Responsive Web Design (RWD) learning media with the name WCode. The results of the material expert validation assessment were 78.87 percent, media validation was 92.71 percent, development trials (small groups) were 87.36 percent, field trials (large groups) were 90.02 percent, the level of student learning independence after using the media was 79.38 percent with an increase of 12.99 percent from the level of student learning independence before using the learning media made. Overall, the learning media made can be considered feasible and used as a means of student learning materials in class and supporting independent student learning on web programming elements for vocational students majoring in Software Engineering.

Abstract

Urban air pollution, particularly carbon monoxide (CO), poses serious health risks, emphasizing the need for accurate prediction models to support real-time monitoring and timely responses. This study explores the use of a Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Unit (Bi-GRU) model to improve CO concentration forecasts, capturing intricate temporal patterns in air quality data. The model, optimized for varying input-output sequences, contributes to advancements in air quality prediction by enhancing accuracy with extended historical data. Using hourly CO data from Yogyakarta, Indonesia, the Bi-GRU model was evaluated across input lengths of 48, 96, and 144 hours with prediction outputs of 24 and 48 hours. Results show high prediction accuracy, with the best performance at 144-hour inputs, achieving an R² of 0.99 and minimal error metrics. These findings underscore the model's reliability and precision in capturing CO fluctuations, making it a promising tool for urban environmental management. This research offers a foundation for further refinement and broader applications in air quality monitoring systems.
