Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) method combined with the Examples Non-Examples approach in enhancing students' digital literacy outcomes through the production of short movie advertisements. In an increasingly digital era, digital literacy has become an essential skill that students must master. PjBL offers a learning approach that actively engages students in real-world projects, while the Examples Non-Examples method provides concrete guidance through both positive and negative examples. This study employs the Classroom Action Research (CAR) model using Kurt Lewin's cycle, involving 36 students from class X.7 at SMAN 8 Malang. Data were collected through observation and documentation studies and analyzed descriptively, both qualitatively and quantitatively. The results indicate that the application of this method significantly improves students' understanding and skills in digital literacy, particularly in video editing, visual composition, and creativity. The study concludes that PjBL with the Examples Non-Examples approach is effective in enhancing students' digital skills and soft skills, and it offers a meaningful contribution to the development of digital learning methods.

Abstract

This study is evaluation research using the CIPPO model, which aims to evaluate the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in vocational high schools (SMK) in Makassar, considering four aspects: context, input, process, product, and outcome. The subjects of this study consist of school supervisors, principals, vice principals in charge of curriculum, teachers, and students selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques include interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data was obtained by distributing questionnaires online through Google Forms. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The study results indicate that: (1) Context evaluation covering two indicators achieved a percentage of 97 percent, with a criterion of excellent. (2) Input evaluation covering four indicators achieved a percentage of 89 percent, with a criterion of excellent. (3) Process evaluation covering three indicators achieved a percentage of 93 percent, with a criterion of excellent. (4) Product evaluation covering three indicators achieved a percentage of 97 percent, with a criterion of excellent. (5) Outcome evaluation covering three indicators achieved a percentage of 92 percent, with a criterion of excellent. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the evaluation of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in vocational high schools in Makassar is considered excellent.

Abstract

The "Students Incubator Business" program at SMAN 8 Malang aims to enhance students' skills in managing micro businesses by creating effective promotional media using Canva. The program comprises several stages: participant registration, workshops, mentoring, project assessment, and evaluation. A total of 20 students with micro businesses participated in this program, which involved intensive training in graphic design and digital marketing. The results showed increased students' knowledge and skills, mainly using Canva to create attractive promotional media tailored to their target markets. Program evaluation indicated that 80% of participants successfully produced high-quality promotional media, while the rewards effectively boosted students' motivation and confidence. Despite the program's success, ongoing mentorship is needed, particularly in copywriting strategies, to enhance marketing effectiveness further. Overall, this program successfully supported students in developing their micro businesses by improving their digital marketing skills.

Abstract

This research aims to develop innovative informatics learning media that are relevant to the characteristics of students at SMP Negeri 16 Malang. The background of this research is based on the challenges faced in informatics learning, including low learning motivation and the lack of optimal technology utilization. Interactive flipbooks were chosen as the learning media due to their ability to integrate audio-visual elements and support independent learning. This research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. The analysis stage identifies the needs, curriculum, and student characteristics. The design stage involves structuring the flipbook development framework. The development stage focuses on creating a web-based interactive flipbook and expert validation. The implementation stage is conducted with small and large groups to obtain feedback. The evaluation stage measures the effectiveness of the media and ensures its feasibility. The research results indicate that interactive flipbooks have the potential to increase learning motivation and understanding of informatics concepts.

Abstract

The low motivation of students to understand programming material at the junior high school level presents a challenge in informatics education. This study aims to develop web-based learning media using a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach on Scratch material to increase the learning motivation of seventh-grade junior high school students. The Research and Development (R&D) methodology used the ADDIE model, encompassing five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires using a mixed-methods approach to obtain in-depth and measurable results. The analysis showed that the learning media was highly valid, with a 95.83 percent rating from content experts and 93.84 percent from media experts, and received an excellent response from student trials. Motivation assessments revealed a significant increase in student learning motivation from 72.18 percent (high) before using the media to 87.85 percent (very high) after its implementation. This learning media was positively received by students, deemed engaging, and made it easier for them to grasp fundamental programming concepts. Therefore, the web-based learning media using the PBL approach has proven effective in supporting increased student learning motivation and contributes to the advancement of informatics education in junior high schools.

Abstract

This study explores the application of the AdaBoost-SVM model for the classification of chronic kidney disease (CKD), addressing the critical need for accurate and early diagnosis in clinical settings. Using a dataset of 400 instances with 25 clinical features, we implemented rigorous data cleaning to remove rows with missing values, ensuring high-quality input data. The AdaBoost-SVM model achieved remarkable performance, with an overall accuracy of 96%. Precision and recall were notably high for both 'ckd' and 'notckd' classes, reflecting the model’s robustness and reliability. These results underscore the potential of hybrid machine learning approaches in medical diagnostics, providing valuable insights into improving CKD detection. Although the study has several limitations, such as a limited dataset and the exclusion of incomplete data, its findings clearly show the model's usefulness and provide a foundation for future research. Future work should focus on larger, more diverse datasets and alternative data handling techniques to enhance the model's applicability and performance. This research highlights the promise of integrating advanced algorithms into clinical decision-making processes, ultimately aiming to improve patient outcomes through early and accurate disease detection.

R & D (Research & Development) research is research that is oriented to research, design, produce, test, the validity of the resulting product in the form of an interactive teaching module to improve understanding of the concept of electronic and digital engineering material with a development model developed by M. Alessi and Stanley R. Trollip, which consists of the stages of Planning , Design , and Development . Data collection techniques used in this study are questionnaires, tests, interviews and observations. Abstract

This article aims to determine the conditions for implementing manual daily evaluation sheets in the ATM Study Program and to develop the digitalization of website-based evaluation sheets. The research method used is the Rapid Application Development (RAD) research method. This method aims to shorten the time needed to plan, design, and implement a system. The respondents selected were 12 people, consisting of 10 lecturers and 2 educational staff members from the ATM study program. The testing technique uses the Black Box Testing method aimed at students, lecturers, and educational staff to test each menu on the website created. Test results show that each menu works as expected. So it can be concluded that the digital evaluation sheet is successful because lecturers can easily input the grades for practicum activities and education staff can easily monitor practicum results and summarize student assessment data.

Abstract

This research discusses the importance of implementing humanist parenting patterns and guided inquiry learning models in improving cadet learning outcomes at the Makassar Aviation Polytechnic. A humanist parenting style creates an academic environment that is conducive, democratic, and respects individual uniqueness, to form a professional, ethical, and environmentally conscious character. The guided inquiry model encourages cadets' active and creative participation in the learning process. This method emphasizes independent problem-solving through the scientific process, including problem formulation, hypotheses, analysis, and conclusions. In its application, the teacher provides initial guidance that is gradually reduced so that the cadets are able to carry out independent inquiry. This research aims to determine the effect of the guided inquiry model on cadets' ability to apply digital engineering concepts. The research results show that the guided inquiry model has a significant impact and is more effective than conventional methods. Cadets who use this model demonstrate increased understanding, skills, and active involvement in the learning process. In addition, research finds that creativity does not have a significant effect on learning outcomes, and learning outcomes are determined more by the application of the guided inquiry model. It is hoped that this research can contribute to improving the quality of vocational education in the aviation sector and become a reference for the development of similar research in the future.

Abstract

This research investigates the integration of Digital Twin (DT) technology within Lean Manufacturing frameworks to optimize value stream flow, minimize waste, and enhance real-time decision-making capabilities. By synthesizing foundational concepts of Lean Manufacturing and DT, the paper examines the layered DT architecture, covering the physical, virtual, and communication interfaces, alongside Lean tools like Kaizen, Kanban, and Just-in-Time (JIT) that facilitate continuous process improvement. Case studies, particularly in the automotive sector, demonstrate DT's ability to increase production efficiency through predictive maintenance and simulation-based scenario planning, supporting Lean's waste reduction objectives. However, the paper identifies key implementation challenges, including legacy system integration, workforce adaptation, and data interoperability. Additionally, cybersecurity and data integrity concerns are analysed to highlight essential protocols for safe DT deployment. Future research directions propose advancements like AI-powered DTs, blockchain for enhanced traceability, and edge computing for low-latency applications. Key insights from industry case studies underscore the transformative impact of DTs on production efficiency, organizational resilience, and sustainable manufacturing outcomes, positioning Digital Twin technology as a cornerstone for next-generation lean manufacturing systems
