Jurnal TUNAS adalah jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh LPPM STIKOM Tunas Bangsa Pematangsiantar yang Tujuan dari publikasi jurnal ini adalah untuk menyebarluaskan pemikiran konseptual atau ide dan hasil penelitian yang telah dicapai di bidang pengabdian masyarakat. Jurnal TUNAS: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat, berisi berbagai kegiatan dalam menangani dan mengelola berbagai potensi, hambatan, tantangan, dan masalah yang ada di masyarakat. Implementasi kegiatan layanan juga melibatkan partisipasi masyarakat dan mitra. Kegiatan pelayanan diorganisasikan menjadi kegiatan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Silakan baca panduan ini dengan seksama. Penulis yang ingin menyerahkan naskah mereka ke redaksi Jurna TUNAS: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat harus mematuhi pedoman penulisan. Jika naskah yang dikirimkan tidak sesuai dengan pedoman atau ditulis dalam format yang berbeda, naskah tersebut akan DITOLAK oleh editor sebelum ditinjau lebih lanjut. Abstract

Foreign language ability is one of the skills that must be possessed in this era of globalization, because the world community is required to be able to communicate both orally and in writing, especially in English. English is one of the foreign languages that have an international standard where the whole world with various groups speaks the language. This is also experienced by employees who work in various companies, especially multinational companies or foreign companies. Employees must be able to communicate in the foreign language. The instructions also use English to instruct the use of various products, especially machines. In connection with this, the team of lecturers carried out activities to support the importance of English language skills as instructions for using machines for employees of PT. Indonesian Sagami. In this activity, the lecturers who are members of the community service group help partners to provide material on instructions for using machines to increase the language skills that employees already have. The method of implementing this Community Service activity is done face-to-face through discussion and question and answer methods. The results obtained are expected to add insight and knowledge in the employees' English skills.

Abstract

Community service activities in understanding foreign language conversation skills especially English for tour guides are seen as an effective and selective activity in improving the ability of tour guides to use English. The method used in this community service activity is a simulation method using lecture models, role playing and picture and picture which are used to provide explanations about making conversations in English appropriately and motivating tour guides to have a willingness to improve their English skills and increase understanding the tour guides regarding making conversations in English. The Question-and-Answer method is also used to determine the ability of the tour guides to receive explanations. The Simulation method is used so that the tour guides can practice the material that has been received. The stages in this simulation are the preparation stage, the simulation implementation stage, namely, the preparation for the simulation implementation. At this stage, an explanation was given regarding making conversations in English which focused on (1) The application of the picture and picture learning model in the simulation improves English conversation skills for tour guides. (2) the application of the role playing model in the simulation improves the English conversation skills of the tour guides. To see the ability of the tour guides, it can be proven by the acquisition of pretest and posttest scores and the ability of the tour guides to practice conversation in English properly.

Abstract

The Internet of Things is a growing field of research in the era of globalization revolution 4.0. The development of information technology is also developing human interests and abilities regarding information technology, seen from several aspects that make human competitiveness superior. Internet of Things is a concept that optimizes internet connectivity in enabling humans to interact with electronic equipment connected to the internet network. The use of computers in the future will dominate human work to control electronic equipment remotely. To apply the Internet of Things concept, devices that are able to work optimally are needed, such as the NodeMCU as Hardware in a Microcontroller circuit in which a System on Chip (SoC) is embedded, namely the Wifi module and also a Blynk App Software to control the work of the Hardware. The Informatics Management Study Program community service team at Harapan University in Medan conducted socialization regarding the Internet of Thing at SMA N 13 Medan with the aim of introducing and increasing students' knowledge and skills in the field of information technology, especially in the Internet of Things. This service is carried out by the socialization method, namely lectures, demonstrations and questions and answers. The results of the activities that have been carried out went well and were successful, the activity of the participants was very high, this was seen from the many questions asked when the question and answer session opened..

Abstract

Utilizing Computer Based Test (CBT) application at HKBP Hutabayuraja private high school can enhance the effectiveness of the student learning evaluation process by improving accuracy and objectivity, saving time and costs, and motivating students. However, the lack of knowledge among teachers and staff about CBT remains a major obstacle in implementing this technology. Hence, socializing and training teachers and staff is crucial to maximize the benefits of this technology, while also ensuring the protection of student data from unauthorized use. The CBT application provides flexibility in terms of time and place, as it can be accessed through a computer or mobile device, allowing students to carry out learning evaluations anytime and anywhere. To optimize its usage, adequate training and socialization for teachers and staff is necessary. The use of CBT applications offers numerous benefits for both teachers and students in the learning evaluation process, highlighting the need for broader implementation of technology such as CBT applications to increase efficiency and effectiveness in evaluating student learning.

Abstract

The city of South Tangerang has nine lakes which have potential for ecotourism, one of which is Situ 7 Muara. The current condition of Situ 7 Muara does not support its development as a tourist attraction and as a healthy tourism area. Community service activities (abdimas) aim to assist the community around Situ 7 Muara in identifying the current conditions and conducting an assessment analysis of the potential of the lake as a tourist attraction, especially from the aspect of physical facilities and infrastructure that can support a healthy tourism area. The results of community service activities prove that there are five tourist points around Situ 7 Muara, namely: 1) Culinary tourism by the Situ 7 Muara lake, 2) Ganespa Educational Park, 3) Culinary tourism under the High Voltage Air Line (SUTT), 4) Urban forest, and 5) Helmet Park. From this community service activity, information was also obtained that the Information Center, accommodation, clinic/first aid, internet cafe/wartel, souvenir shop, and police/security post had poor ratings in terms of physical condition and cleanliness. As for the facilities for restaurants/restaurants, parking, garbage cans, toilets, prayer rooms, footpaths, they received good ratings in terms of their physical condition and cleanliness. Tourism development in Situ 7 Muara has not met the indicators of health tourism readiness, so that government intervention is needed.

Abstract

Indonesia's economic growth, especially in the field of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), has decreased from year to year. One of them has an impact on business actors in Lilibooi State, Central Maluku, who are experiencing sluggish sales and suspended animation. Even though the natural resources in Lilibooi Country are very abundant, including nutmeg and cloves, this is due to the absence of an integrated marketing channel model. This service aims to find out the use of integrated marketing channels for every business actor in Lilibooi Country. This activity was carried out for one day and is expected to provide an understanding of the benefits and an integrated marketing channel system that can be implemented by business actors in order to increase sustainable economic growth in Negeri Lilibooi, Central Maluku.

Abstract

The web is a platform that is most often used to create an application. Web-based applications continue to grow rapidly along with the times. Web-based applications have been widely used for various purposes both in the field of sales and biodata. The web can be interpreted as a collection of pages that display various kinds of text information, data, still or moving images, animated data, sound, video or a combination of all of them, both static and dynamic, which form a series of interconnected buildings. related where each is connected by a network of pages or hyperlinks.This website is based on the development of information and communication technology. Through the development of information technology, created a network of interconnected computers. The network known as the internet is continuously converting electronic messages, including e-mail, file transmission, and two-way communication between individuals or computers.

Abstract

The development of the Python programming language is currently increasing rapidly, especially in implementation into Data Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Mining, Internet of Things and others. One of the advantages of Python programming is that it is interpretive which is usually used for prototyping, scripting in infrastructure management, to creating large-scale websites. The Python language has a very sloping learning curve, making it suitable to be learned as a first programming language with ease of reading and ease of learning its syntax. Python programming training this time is devoted to machine learning training which is intended for students of SMK Dewantara Bekasi. The material provided refers to industry standards so that later it can be implemented in the world of work. The application used is Google Colabs, which is easily accessible by logging in online through a Google account. The results of the training show that the students of SMK Dewantara Bekasi are at the Novice Programmer stage, where these students don’t understand python programming at all and the concepts of machine learning. Limited computers and internet access were also obstacles in the implementation of this training activity.

Abstract

As time progresses, it brings about changes that can transform everything. The technology that once used typewriters has now shifted to a device called a computer. With the presence of computers, its benefits are not overlooked by various parties. The benefits provided by computers offer convenience to those who need it. For example, an IT professional cannot be separated from the existence of computer functions in searching for various information. Likewise, workers in the education field utilize computers to support educational facilities. Along with the development of computers, the field of education also develops. There are many problems in education that can be solved manually. Many application programs or software can be used to solve problems, ranging from simple to complex, especially problems in Mathematics, such as the GeoGebra application. Matlab or Matrix Laboratory is software used for programming, analysis, as well as technical and mathematical computations based on matrices. Matlab was first released in 1970 by Cleve Moler. Initially, Matlab was used to solve problems related to linear algebraic equations. And to this day, the Matlab system continues to evolve in terms of its functions and computational performance.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive and develops in children aged 0-59 months. Those whose length or height does not match their age due to chronic malnutrition and recurrent infections. One of the efforts made to prevent stunting in children aged 0-59 months is to disseminate information and education to parents of toddlers and pregnant women through posyandu. The purpose of this posyandu assistance is to identify the efforts of posyandu cadres in preventing stunting. The target population in this assistance were Posyandu Mawar 1, Mawar 2, Mawar 3, Mawar 4, and Mawar 5, 25 posyandu cadres, 1 village midwife, and posyandu visitors in Pedamaran I Village, Pedamaran District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. The method used is PAR (Participatory Action Research) with qualitative descriptive analysis. It was carried out in several stages, namely observation, interviews, and household surveys. The result of this implementation is from posyandu assistance in preventing stunting posyandu cadres with village midwives carrying out various forms of activities besides measuring and weighing children's weight, socialize and education are also carried out for mothers who have children under five 0-59 months and pregnant women to recognize stunting and follow up on toddlers who are recorded as stunting.
