Abstract

This class action research aims to determine whether there is an increase increativity and achievement in science learning through Project Based Learning in class VIII D of SMP Negeri 2 Ngemplak semester gasal academic year 20 22/2023. The subjects of this class action research were 3 2 students of grade VIII D of SMP Negeri 2 Ngemplak. This research is designed classroom action research and is carried out in two cycles with each cycle consisting of four stages, namely action planning, action implementation, observation and evaluation, and analysis and reflection. Each cycle is carried out with three meetings and each meeting is 2 x 40 minutes. The implementation of research is carried out together with students, and other science subject teachers. The data collection techniques used are observation, test and documentation techniques. The success target of this class action research is that as many as 24 students have shown creativity during learning activities and achieved a KKM score of 72. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that there is an increase in creativity and science learning achievement of grade VIII D students of SMP Negeri 2 Ngemplak in the first semester of the 2022/2023 academic year through Project Based Learning. From the data on the results of research that has been carried out shows an increase in student creativity and science learning achievement from 1.6 students (5.0%) who are creative and complete in the initial condition increased to 2.4 students (7.5%) who are creative and completed after the action of cycle I. At the end of the second cycle of action increased to 31 students (97%) who achieved creative and reached the limit of learning completeness. The average score of science learning achievement also increased from 69.53 in the pre-cycle to 75.47 (an increase of 9%) after the first cycle action and to 84.69 (an increase of 2.2%) after the second cycle action.

Abstract

This study aims to screen the potential of five active compounds in areca nut L-phenylalanine, protocatechuic acid, ocanine, nicotinic acid, L-tyrosine as antidepressants through pharmacokinetic analysis and drug likeness analysis using the SwissADME online application, then predict toxicity and brain penetration through 2D radar bioavailability results. using the ADMETLab online application. Compounds that met all parameters were L-phenylalanine and L-tyrosine with high GI absorption results, no P-gp inhibitors, no CYP1A2 inhibitors, no CYP2D6 inhibitors, yes BBB permeant and had a logKp value <2.5cm/s, no hepatotoxicity and no AMES toxicity, complies with Lipinski, Ghose, Veber regulations, bioavailability score 0.55, and showed the optimal range of values as an oral drug.

Abstract

Education is one indicator of a country's progress, because it has improved the quality of human resources. One of the Educational activities in the university is joint practicums to improve students' understanding of critical thinking patterns and values. The purpose of this practicum was to examine and analyze the ability of essential patterns of thinking, level of understanding of theory and method, and student learning outcomes as well in the study programme of Marine Science, Mulawarman University. Practicum activities were conducted in Malahing village, Bontang City in November 2022. A total of 52 students took part in the activities. All data in this activity were collected from initial critical thinking skills tests (pre-test) and after (post-test), score from practicum’s report, and participants' perceptual responses in the form of online questionnaires. It was found that the student's critical thinking skills in this activity were in the moderate category based on N-Gains score (0,46). In General, the percentage of understanding and student learning outcomes was in good category (71-84). Based on the student responses, about 92.3% of students were enthusiastic and happy with the practicum learning method. Thus, joint practicum activities might influence increasing student understanding and grades.

Abstract

Abstract: TPA is the final location of the urban waste processing process by hoarding waste in landfills. The decomposition of waste and exposure to rainwater in landfills will produce a concentrated liquid, leachate. The presence of heavy metals at certain concentrations will turn toxic to aquatic ecosystems. In addition, high COD levels indicate the presence of large amounts of organic pollutants. One alternative to removing these contaminants is by using the adsorption method. In particular, this study aimed to determine the characteristics of activated carbon and the best dose variation in reducing pollutants in leachate. The analysis results of the characteristics of activated carbon in PET plastic waste are 2.2% moisture content, 2.6% ash content, 62.2% volatile matter content, and 33% bound carbon content. The water and ash content values complied with SNI 06-3730-1995, but for volatile matter content and bound carbon content, they did not comply with SNI 06-3730-1995. The best dose in reducing levels of heavy metals Fe and COD was at a 15-gram dose with a final value of Fe of 0.106 mg/L with an efficiency of 96.4% and COD of 3404 mg/L with an efficiency of 36.7%. Overall, the Fe metal content for all cases tested met the RI Minister of Health Regulation Number 32 of 2017. However, the COD level had not yet reached the quality standard of the Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation Number 59 of 2016. Abstract

This research is a Research and Development research (research and development) with a 4D development model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The purpose of this study was to determine the validity and response of teachers and students to the development of e-Book material of human reproductive system integrated character education with SAC application-based. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires, interviews, and observations to teachers and 13 students at MTs Nurul Yaqin Kuala Kurun. The instruments used in this study were validation questionnaires, teacher and student response questionnaires, teacher and student response questionnaires to students' religious values and healthy lifestyles, and observation sheets. The data from the material expert validation results obtained a very valid category of 3.78, design expert validation with a valid category of 3.31, character education expert validation with a very valid category of 3.63. The results of the teacher's response obtained a very valid category of 3.66 and a student's response with a very valid category of 3.67. The results of teacher responses to religious values and healthy lifestyles of students obtained a good category of 3.00 and student responses with a very good category of 3.54, the results of teacher and student interviews showed a relationship between teacher and student response questionnaires with interview results, and the results of observations obtained a very good category of 95%. Thus, it can be concluded that the development of e-Book material for the integrated human reproductive system of Smart Apps Creator (SAC) application-based character education is valid, practical, and can maximize the religious value and healthy lifestyle of students.

Abstract

Gambier (Uncaria guanensis) is one of the non-timber forest products that has long been known and widely used by the community. Gambier is used as a tanner to prevent decay, making the skin softer, colored, not stiff and durable. Besides being used as a remedy for stomach pain, ulcers, and throat. The use of gambier is commonly known in eating betel as a mixture of ingredients to enhancer delicious taste. At the time of eating it tastes bitter but then tastes sweet and can nourish the teeth, gums, gums and throat. This study aims to isolate and identify the genus of endophytic fungi in gambier plants. The method used in this study was sampling the root bark of gambier plants. Making media using instant PDA media mixed with aquadest and antibiotics. Isolation of indophytic fungi in gambier plants is carried out by direct planting techniques, identification of endophytic fungi is carried out by microscopic and macroscopic observations. Macroscopic identification is done by observing, colony color, colony texture, shape (concentric or not) whereas microscopic can be done using a microscope. In microscopic observations, the presence or absence of sects in hyphae hyphal development, hyphal color, and conodia are all observed under a microscope using the slide culture method.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of card sort learning media on critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. The type of research used is quasi-experimental. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Narmada for the academic year 2022/2023. The results showed that the critical thinking skills of students who used card sort media obtained an average score of 65.81 and the critical thinking skills of students who did not use card sort learning media obtained an average score of an average of 59.87 while for learning outcomes using card sort learning media obtained an average score of 83.23 and those who did not use card sort learning media obtained an average score of 74.19. so that it can be stated that card sort learning media has an effect on critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. In conclusion, there is a significant difference in the ability to think critically and the learning outcomes of class X SMA Negeri 2 Narmada in the 2022/2023 academic year between learning using card sort and direct learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of research-based practicum on students' science process skills. Quasi-experimental type with Non-Equivalent control group design. This research was conducted at SMP IT Plus Tahfidzul Qur'an Aikmel for the 2023/2024 academic year. The results of this study indicate that for the value of Sig. is 0.009 < 0.05 so that it can be seen that there are differences in learning outcomes of science process skills between research-based practicum and lecture methods. This can be observed from the very striking difference in terms of the average value obtained. In the experimental class the average posttest score of the students was 70.5. In the control class the average posttest score of the students was 56.5. There are differences in student learning outcomes in the experimental and control classes caused by internal and external factors. One of the most influential factors is the method used. The experimental class uses a research-based practicum method while the control class does not use a research-based practicum method.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on the communication skills of class VII students at MTS Darul Qur'an Bengkel. 2) the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on the creative thinking skills of class VII students at MTS Darul Qur'an Workshop. This research is a Quasi-Experimental quantitative research with a Pretest-Posttest Non Equivalent Control Group design, the population in this study is all class VII consisting of 3 classes. The sample in this study was class VII B, totaling 21 people as the experimental class and class VII A, totaling 22 people as the control class. Sampling was carried out using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. Data collection techniques using tests and observation sheets. The data analysis technique used the One Way ANOVA Hypothesis Test assisted by SPSS 26. Based on the results of the analysis of the hypothesis test for students' communication skills of 0.000 <α = 0.05 and the results of hypothesis testing for students' creative thinking abilities of 0.003 <α = 0.05. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the project based learning (PjBL) learning model on the communication skills and creative thinking of Grade VII students at MTS Darul Qur'an Bengkel.

Abstract

water samples used were taken from three coastal areas of Aceh, namely Tibang, Uleelheue, and Kaju. Water is taken from 3 different water sources for each area of ​​the region. Initial measurements were made for distilled water to see the accuracy of using a hollow prism made of commercial glass. The water sample is inserted into a hollow prism made of commercial glass with an angle of 450. The helium-neon laser beam with a wavelength of 564 nm is directed to the hollow prism so that it undergoes refraction. The measurement results on the distilled water sample obtained a refractive index of 1.33, the result is the same as the measurement using the Abbe refractometer. Meanwhile, the measurement results found that the refractive index of water taken from water sources in the coastal area has a relatively similar index of refraction. The refractive index of water taken from three coastal areas ranged from 1.341 to 1.349. The value of the refractive index of water is also affected by the level of mineral content and the level of saltiness
