Abstract

In the execution of construction projects, time and cost control is an important aspect to achieve profitability and efficiency. Delays and cost increases are common, which can be detrimental to the project. Therefore, an appropriate analysis method is needed to predict and control project performance. This study aims to analyze project performance and estimate the final time and cost of the project using the Earned Value Analysis (EVA) and Earned Schedule (ES) methods. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach by analyzing existing data. Data were collected through surveys and observations at the research site, as well as interviews with relevant parties. The EVA method was used to evaluate project progress, while ES was used to improve the accuracy of time prediction. The results of the analysis showed that in week 28, the Cost Variance (CV) value was Rp. 1,126,276,650.65 with a Cost Performance Index (CPI) of more than 1, indicating that the work was completed at a lower cost than budget. The time performance index (SPI) of 1.003 indicates that the work was completed faster than planned. Overall, the estimated cost and time of project completion showed savings of 12.63%, which amounted to Rp. 4,380,694,868. This study concludes that the application of EVA and ES methods can effectively improve time and cost control in construction projects.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the role of customer experience as a mediator in the relationship between online innovation and repurchase intention in the training industry in Indonesia. In the context of intense competition, understanding the factors that influence consumers' intention to repurchase is crucial for business continuity. Data was collected through a survey involving 274 respondents who had participated in training, both online and offline. Respondents were selected based on predetermined criteria. Data analysis was conducted using structural equation modeling (SEM) to evaluate the relationships between variables, including online innovation, customer experience, and repurchase intentions. The research findings show that online innovation does not have a significant direct influence on repurchase intentions. However, customer experience was shown to have a positive and significant impact on repurchase intentions. In other words, customer experience plays an important role as a mediator linking online innovation with consumers' intention to repurchase in the context of training. This study has limitations, as it only considers the customer perspective. Further research is recommended to explore the company's point of view and other variables that may contribute to repurchase intentions. The findings emphasize that training companies need to prioritize improving customer experience to increase retention rates and profitability. Overall, the results of this study suggest that while online innovation is important, the main focus should be on developing a positive customer experience to drive repurchase intentions. This is a key strategy for companies to face challenges in the increasingly competitive training industry.

Abstract

Random traffic flows and the influence of traffic signals at intersections often cause significant variations in travel times. This has implications for signal control planning and design. This study aims to compare the variability between signalized and unsignalized corridors in Lahore and identify the challenges faced by road users. The study was conducted through a literature survey that collected data on trip purpose, frequency, travel time, and transportation mode choice from various sources. Results show that signalized corridors have lower accident rates and shorter travel times compared to unsignalized corridors. Unsignaled corridors, on the other hand, offer better access and lower fuel costs. Although signalized corridors are more effective in managing traffic flow and improving safety, further research is needed to explore alternative solutions such as roundabouts that can improve mobility and sustainability. The results of this study can serve as a reference for transportation planners and policy makers in designing a more efficient traffic system. This study also suggests the need for further evaluation of traffic control in various urban contexts to optimize safety and efficiency.

Abstract

Notarial documents are important legal evidence, but their validity depends on the fulfillment of the provisions of the UUJN, especially Article 16 paragraph (1) letter m. This research aims to analyze the legal consequences of notarial deeds that do not comply with the provisions of Article 16 paragraph (1) letter m of the UUJN, as well as understand the responsibilities of notaries in ensuring the validity of the documents they create. This research uses a doctrinal approach by analyzing legal norms through a literature review of relevant literature and legal sources. The main focus is on the legal consequences of notarial deeds that do not comply with the provisions of Article 16 paragraph (1) letter m of the UUJN. The research found that a notarial document that is not read and signed in the presence of the parties involved potentially loses its evidentiary power and is considered an underhand deed. Notaries are fully responsible for this mistake, which can result in administrative, civil and criminal sanctions. The obligation to read the deed orally by the notary is essential to ensure that all parties understand the contents of the document and agree to its terms. Violation of this obligation not only harms the parties involved but also undermines the integrity of the notary profession. The conclusion of this study confirms that the fulfillment of the provisions of Article 16 paragraph (1) letter m of the UUJN is mandatory to maintain the validity of notarial deeds.

Abstract

Ibnu Abbas Foundation intends to build a four-story school building for junior high school in Talun District, Cirebon Regency. This study aims to design a school building structure that is comfortable, safe, and meets earthquake-resistant standards using ETABS software. The design process includes structural planning, analysis of building response to static and dynamic loads such as dead load, live load, wind load, and earthquake load, as well as detailed design of structural elements such as floors, columns, beams, and foundations. This research method uses a calculation approach that refers to the applicable Indonesian National Standards (SNI), namely SNI 2847: 2019 for structural planning, SNI 1727: 2020 for load planning, and SNI 1726: 2019 for earthquake resistant planning. The planning process uses the Response Spectrum SRPMK method and is assisted by ETABS software for structural analysis and design. The planning results show that the four-story school building structure can be built safely using a pile foundation with a depth of 4.4 meters and diameters of 50 and 60 cm. The foundation is able to withstand the load of the planned structure. The structural elements of the school building are planned using reinforced concrete with a material quality of K-300 for the frame and K-350 for the columns. The main reinforcement used is BJTS 420A, and the transverse reinforcement is BJTP 280.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the challenges and constraints of economic development in Afghanistan's rural areas and to propose solutions to overcome these obstacles. Rural economic development in Afghanistan faces significant challenges due to infrastructure deficiencies, financial and social limitations, and high rates of labor migration to urban areas. In this regard, the study seeks to analyze these inhibiting factors and provide practical, policy-oriented solutions to improve the economic conditions of Afghanistan’s rural communities. This research utilizes a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and quantitative surveys from various groups, including farmers, small business owners, and local officials in several rural regions of Afghanistan. The data were analyzed through content analysis and statistical methods. Findings indicate that the primary challenges to economic development in these areas include a lack of infrastructure, insufficient financial facilities, and limited access to technical and vocational training. Additionally, the results suggest that support for small businesses, infrastructure development, and vocational training could significantly improve rural economic conditions. This research not only offers policy recommendations for government institutions and development organizations but also adds to the theoretical literature on rural economic development in Afghanistan, potentially serving as a guide for effective, localized policymaking.

Abstract

Currently, Indonesia's oil palm plantation sector is in a critical phase. While the sector has contributed significantly to national income and created jobs, it is increasingly urged to address a number of social and environmental issues. This study aims to explain the complex relationship between oil palm plantation expansion, per capita income, and unemployment dynamics in the region. Using quantitative methodology and multiple linear regression analysis, this study examines secondary data sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and the Ministry of Agriculture covering the period 2001-2022. The findings show that the expansion of oil palm plantations significantly increases per capita income through direct and indirect job creation. However, its impact on unemployment is not uniform and depends on the prevailing economic structure and adaptability of the local labor market. While some regions experienced a decline in unemployment due to increased job availability, other regions experienced an increase in structural unemployment caused by the adoption of modern technology that reduced the need for manual labor. These findings underscore the need for regional policies tailored to the local economic context, labor market, and local employment conditions

Abstract

In the era of Industry 4.0, the adoption of digital technology has become a key factor in enhancing the competitiveness and performance of organizations across various industrial sectors. Organizations that do not adopt digital technology risk falling behind in terms of operational efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction. In Indonesia, the implementation of digital technology in the manufacturing, retail, and service sectors still faces several challenges, including infrastructure limitations and insufficient human resource readiness. This study aims to analyze the impact of digital technology implementation on operational performance in three sectors: manufacturing, retail, and services in the Pangkalpinang region. Using a qualitative case study method, data was collected through in-depth interviews with 15 operational managers and IT staff from three companies in these sectors that have implemented digital transformation in the past five years. The findings indicate that the adoption of digital transformation has improved operational efficiency by up to 30%, employee productivity by 18%, and customer satisfaction by 22% in the retail and service sectors. However, in the manufacturing sector, technological infrastructure limitations hindered optimal results. Digital transformation has a positive impact on operational performance and customer satisfaction, especially in the retail and service sectors. However, additional investment in technological infrastructure is needed in the manufacturing sector to achieve maximum results.
