Abstract

In a dynamic and competitive financial industry, employee performance (performance) plays a key role in determining the success and growth of the organisation. This study aims to analyse the effect of work motivation, workload, and competency on job satisfaction, and its impact on performance in the financial industry in Jakarta.  This research uses quantitative methods by distributing questionnaires to employees in the financial industry in Jakarta. The data collected was then analysed using regression analysis to test the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. The results showed that work motivation, workload, and competency have a significant effect on job satisfaction. Furthermore, job satisfaction was also found to have a significant effect on employee performance. These findings confirm the importance of paying attention to these factors in improving employee performance in the financial industry. Organisations need to develop effective strategies and policies to increase work motivation, manage workload, and develop employee competencies. By paying attention to these factors, it is expected to increase job satisfaction and ultimately improve employee performance in the highly competitive financial industry. This study concludes that work motivation, workload, and competency have a significant effect on job satisfaction, which in turn has an impact on improving employee performance in the financial industry. The findings provide practical implications for organisations to pay attention to these factors in an effort to improve employee performance.

Abstract

DHF is one of the national priorities for infectious disease control in Indonesia, every year the cases always increase and are increasingly widespread, causing extraordinary events (KLB). Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge, health promotion media and health worker support for the incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever in Sogaten Village, Manguharjo District, Madiun City. This type of research is quantitative research, using a questionnaire sample of 24 respondents. Measuring instruments in this study used univariate and bivariate with the chi-square test. The results of the study on the knowledge variable using the Chi-square test resulted in an Asymp.Sig value. (2 tailed) = 0.012 with a significance level of 0.05. While the results of research on health promotion media variables using the Chi-square test with an Asymp.Sig value. (2tailed) = 0.036 with a significance level of 0.05. Meanwhile, the results of research on health worker support variables using the Chi-square test with an Asymp.Sig value. (2tailed) = 0.039 with a significance level of 0.05. The test criterion is that the H0 hypothesis is rejected if Asymp.Sig < 0.05. Because the Asymp.Sig results of knowledge, health promotion media and health worker support are smaller than 0.05, it means that H0 is rejected, so there is a relationship between the incidence of DHF and knowledge, health promotion media and health worker support to the community.

Abstract

Notaries as public officials have significant legal responsibilities in making authentic deeds. This research aims to analyze the legal procedure for summoning a notary as a witness in a case of alleged fraud or embezzlement. The research method used is normative research, by analyzing relevant laws and literature regarding the criminal responsibility of notaries based on Law Number 2 Year 2014. The results show that the summoning of notaries as witnesses by investigators must fulfill the provisions stipulated in the law, including approval from the Notary Honor Council. In addition, there are significant differences in the procedure after the issuance of Constitutional Court Decision Number 49/PUU-X/2012. This research emphasizes the need to evaluate regulations related to summoning notaries to ensure independence and speed up the legal process. The implications of the findings include increased awareness of notaries and socialization to the public regarding their roles and responsibilities. This research shows the importance of increasing notaries' awareness of their legal responsibilities and the need for reform of legal procedures to speed up the summoning and examination of notaries. In addition, strengthening regulations and socializing to the public regarding the role of notaries can help prevent errors in the making of authentic deeds.

Abstract

Legal protection for consumers against the dangers of smoking in Indonesia is still very minimal, especially regarding law enforcement in smoking ban areas. This study aims to analyze legal protection for consumers against the dangers of smoking and evaluate the effectiveness of law enforcement against violations in smoking ban areas. This research uses normative research methods supported by empirical research. Data was collected through analysis of legislation and related literature, as well as observation of law enforcement practices in the field. The research found that legal protection of consumers is divided into two aspects, namely preventive and repressive. However, there are three factors inhibiting law enforcement in smoking ban areas, namely the lack of clear legal substance, low understanding among law enforcement, and lack of supporting infrastructure. The results of this study show that although there are regulations governing smoking restrictions, their implementation is still weak. Collaborative efforts between the government, communities, and businesses are needed to increase awareness and compliance with existing regulations.

Abstract

Mobile banking is very effective in conducting non-cash transactions, especially during the pandemic, which requires no direct contact to make transactions. So, with the current phenomenon and reality, banks, in particular, are flocking to launch mobile banking applications, including BWS mobile banking. This study aims to analyze the effect of system quality, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use on BWS Mobile Banking user satisfaction with the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach. The method in this study uses quantitative methods, with primary data sources (where the data collection technique uses a questionnaire method via Google form) which are distributed through the WhatsApp group and secondary data (data from the PT Bank Woori Saudara website and the Woori Global Standard System (WGSS) database). Research data analysis using the Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) version 26.0 program. The results of this study can determine that the variables of System Quality, Perceived Usefulness, and Perceived Ease of Use have a positive effect on User Satisfaction. The results of the user satisfaction test show that the Perceived usefulness variable Because high Perceived usefulness tends to provide a positive experience to users; they will feel that using the application provides significant value or benefits because satisfaction can be influenced by the extent to which the application effectively meets user needs or goals. The test result of the lowest user satisfaction level is the system quality variable, where PT Bank Woori Saudara must improve system quality and user satisfaction because system quality must have a fast response time, be reliable, flexible, and have good security.

Abstract

This study examines the factors affecting the sustainability of Afghanistan's natural resources, aiming to provide a framework for sustainable development and poverty alleviation. Using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and strategic planning models, key factors such as organizational structure, management, economic, social, cultural, and ecological aspects were identified and prioritized. The findings indicate that organizational and managerial structure is the most critical factor, accounting for 38% of the overall importance. The research underscores the necessity for integrated and systematic management of natural resources to enhance economic and social well-being. It also emphasizes strategic planning, monitoring, and evaluation as essential components for effective resource management. A proposed model for sustainable natural resource management includes community empowerment, knowledge integration, economic viability, and improved communication among stakeholders. The study suggests that Afghanistan can develop its natural resources sustainably by leveraging strengths and opportunities while addressing weaknesses and threats. A comprehensive understanding of the various influencing factors and their interactions is vital for designing an effective model for sustainable management. This research contributes to the discourse on sustainable development in Afghanistan, providing actionable insights for policymakers and stakeholders in the natural resource sector.

Abstract

Construction projects are activities that must be completed within limited time and resources. This research aims to identify risky activities and make control efforts to reduce the level of hazard risk in the installation of steel box girder on the bridge. This research used a mixed methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. Data were collected through surveys and interviews with 60 respondents from 35 bridge projects. The results showed that there were 29 variables of work accident risk factors, including 3 variables with moderate risk levels, 24 variables with high risk levels, and 2 variables with extreme risk levels. The highest risk factors were mobilization that caused congestion and crane overturning during girder lifting that caused operators to fall. To reduce the risk level, efforts are made to ensure all work is done correctly, conduct regular safety inspections, and ensure an effective communication system in the installation of steel box girders on the bridge. The findings can serve as a basis for policy makers to develop better OHS regulations and guidelines, as well as provide valuable information for the development of more effective safety training programs for workers in the construction sector.
