Abstract

Educational leadership in the modern era like today, there are still many who crave good leadership and can create a conducive environment between superiors as the head and the person in charge, along with subordinates as executors of the task. To create a good leadership, one must have a leader who is a master and expert in the science of leadership, so that the institution being led can succeed by achieving the goals that were targeted from the start. To present a good educational leadership and create a conducive atmosphere in the modern era as it is today, the things that must be done are (1) to impose a concept of community-based education leadership, (2) to preside over character-based educational leadershi, and (3) Emotional Intelligence in Conflict Control. In order to create an atmosphere of educational leadership that is ideal for the modern era at this time.

Abstract

Curriculum of 2013 demands that in the implementation of learning students are given the freedom of thinking to understand problems, develop problem solving strategies, propose ideas freely and openly. The teacher's activity in learning is to train and guide students to think critically and creatively in solving problems. The teacher must strive to organize cooperation in study groups, train students to communicate using graphs, diagrams, schemes, and variables. It is expected that the entire work is always presented in front of the class to find various concepts, results of problem solving, rules and principles found through the learning process. Learning is not only emphasized on one aspect, but the balance on the affective aspects, psychomotor aspects, and cognitive aspects.

Abstract

Human resources (HR) become the dominant factor in an institution, including the education sector. Education requires quality human resources, to carry out its role in meeting the educational needs of the community. Also related to Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Ummah Kotagede Yogyakarta is one of the pesantren-based educational institutions which is expected to have a Total Quality Management system in the management of education. This shows educational institutions contribute to customer satisfaction, both internal and external customers. In this paper discusses the basic concepts of human resource management based on Total Quality Management in Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Ummah Kotagede Yogyakarta, which talks about the procedures for implementing human resource development, so that it gets results from the processes that have been carried out in the development of human resources in Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Ummah Kotagede Yogyakarta. Data collection while in the field is done by observation, interviews, and documentation, which can then be classified as qualitative research. Based on the research process, it can provide input and evaluation to make improvements in the development of Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Ummah Kotagede Yogyakarta for the future that is better than ever before.

Abstract

Student management problems, personnel and public relations problems and their problem solving in elementary schools (Research Study at SD INTIS School Yogyakarta). The purpose of this research is to find out the concepts, roles and problems that occur in student management, personnel and community relations at school basic. In addition the authors provide solutions or problem solving for problems that occur. The method the researcher used was a descriptive qualitative research method with data sources through interviews with relevant school leaders. The results showed that the problems that occur in student management include: 1) Some students are inconsistent in following an extracurricular activity and tend to ask to move to another extracurricular, 2) the committee is less loyal to their duties, 3) the problem of uniforming student administration, 4) the number of agendas that are lacking supported by sufficient funds, 5) the existence of extracurriculars that are less effective and devoid of interest. In personnel management, the following problems were found: 1) there are those who have resigned annually, 2) the lack of training and development of human resources for educators and education staff. Whereas in public relations management problems are found: 1) Lack of staff or or limited human resources in the field of Public Relations, 2) In carrying out their duties and functions, Public Relations Employees lack expertise (competence), 3) Overlapping of work with one another, 4) Not having an adequate budget, 5) Sometimes the funds that have been budgeted turn out to be incompatible with reality on the ground. So that inevitably the public relations staff sometimes pack all the needs in accordance with what is budgeted.

Abstract

The challenges of future life have not been answered without any desire to make changes. These changes can be made by way of continuous improvement. Today the superiority of a nation is no longer identified with the abundance of natural resources available, but rather the superiority of its human resources, because the quality of human resources contributes positively to the quality of education. The quality of education is often assessed with good conditions, conditions that are met, as well as a complete component in education. These components are inputs, processes, outputs, education personnel, facilities and infrastructure, as well as costs.The discussion in this paper is based on facts in a society that is already aware of education. The implementation of the concepts and theories of the quality of education were analyzed using four elements contained in the quality theory, namely: Setting Standards, Mentoring Performance, Correcting for Deviation, and New Standards; which are the four researchers' reference in analyzing the concepts and theories of quality in their implementation in Unit 6 Great Child Reading Les Yogyakarta. Data collected using three methods, namely observation, interviews and documentation. Then it is packaged in a descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study indicate that the Great Children Reading classes, especially unit 6 Yogyakarta, have tried to implement the concept of quality education

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of teacher dedication in improving the quality of education. Furthermore, the role of teacher dedication is expected to be concluded how important the role of teacher dedication is in improving the quality of education, as well as knowing the obstacles of teachers in improving the quality of education. This research was conducted in the form of field research. The book which is used as the main guideline in this research is 1) "Spiritual Teaching" (contains the teacher's dedication to his work), written by Abdullah Munir, 2) "Quality and Competitive Education" by Dedi Mulyasana. This research uses qualitative research, data collection is done by interview, observation and documentation. The results showed that Madrasah Aliyah Negri 1 Suruh has dedicated teachers. The form of dedication is 1) There is a sense of willingness of teachers to always sacrifice both the sacrifice of energy, thought and time in order to improve the quality of education, 2) The growth of the desire of teachers to provide the best in improving the quality of education, 3) Teachers Teachers S indirectly have strong soul in improving the quality of education. Besides Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Kabupaten Semarang also has a good quality of educational education. This can be observed from the results of increasing academic achievement obtained from year to year. While non-academic achievement is seen from the change in attitude of students who experience changes in attitude for the better. however, in improving the quality of education against the obstacles faced by teachers. These obstacles are the lack of students learning, the distance from the teacher's house to the school is quite far, the lack of respect for students to teachers and differences in the basic knowledge of religion students have. Then the existence of dedicated teachers in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Kabupaten Semarang has an impact on the quality of Education.

Abstract

Integrated curriculum in formal schools under the auspices of Islamic boarding schools is implemented in order to produce graduates who excel in the field of general knowledge and uphold Islamic values. So that it can produce students who are experts in the field of religion while excelling in general knowledge to be able to compete with other graduates in this 4.0 era. This research takes place in the Al-Munawwir Krapyak Vocational School in Yogyakarta which is a school under the auspices of Islamic boarding schools that implement an integrated curriculum. This study aims to answer the question of how to integrate the pesantren curriculum into the 2013 Curriculum at SMK Al-Munawwir Krapyak Yogyakarta. This type of research is a qualitative study using the analysis of the Miles and Huberman models. The results showed that the integration of pesantren curriculum in 2013 curriculum at Al-Munawwir Vocational School in Krapyak Yogyakarta was by increasing the content of pesantrenan by breaking up PAI subjects into fiqh subjects, al-quran hadith, moral creed, SKI then Arabic subjects. The integration model implemented at Al-Munawwir Krapyak Yogyakarta Vocational School is the first model, the integration model into the curriculum package.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kondisi riil Madrasah Dininyah di kota Yogyakarta beserta dinamikanya; political will dan political action pemerintah c.q Kemenag Kota Yogyakarta mengatur keberadaan dan pelaksanaan pendidikan keagamaan oleh Madin; serta apa saja tantangan yang dihadapi Kemenag kota Yogyakarta dalam membina Madin. Jenis metode dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan tipe penelitian deskriptif analitik. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan 1) Madin-Madin tdi kota Yogyakarta dapat beroperasi menjalankan kegiatan pembelajaran dengan beberapa problematika yang dihadapi, di antaranya kelemahan dalam tata lembaga dan tatakelola; kurikulum yang stagnan; minimnya SDM secara kualitas dan kuantitas; minimnya sarana dan prasarana; trend penurunan animo peserta didik; serta minimnya pendanaan; 2) Kementerian Agama Yogyakarta telah melakukan upaya-upaya pembinaan yang bersifat regulatif-normatif dalam terhadap Madin; dan 3) Tantangan yang dihadapi pemerintah dalam memajukan Madin secara umum adalah perlunya political will (kemauan/keberpihakan politik) dan political action (tindakan politik) dengan melakukan beberapa hal di antaranya menerbitkan kebijkan makro yang lebih berpihak terhadap Madin; meningkatkan kerjasama lintas instansi birokrasi; merumuskan kebijakan anggaran yang lebih pro-Madin; dan peningkatan substansi layanan dan pembinaan.

Abstract

The age of the students in primary school is at the concrete operational phase. A child at the concrete operational stadium is able to think operationally with a condition that his or her thinking material is in a concrete manner. Thus, it needs a research to figure out how the learning design is to build the religious and creative character. This research is conducted using the qualitative subject and object taking the background of State Primary School of Rejowinangun 1 Yogyakarta. The data was collected by means of observation, interview and documentation. The data analysis was conducted by defining the data collected and then a conclusion is made. The data validity was examined through the triangulation technique. The result of the research showed that the learning design of scientific-cum-doctriner-based Islamic education started from the need analysis of the student, objective design, materials, steps, sources and learning evaluation. The building of religious and creative character can result in: the habit to say salaam (greeting), doing a frugal behaviour as taught by the Prophet of Muhammad SAW, able to read the short Qur’an verses before starting to study, doing Shalat in congregation, doing Shalat Dhuha, doing Shalat punctually, implementing the readings and invoking after shalat, greeting firstly when meeting other people, buying the goods as needed and saving. Having a habit to read the book in the spare time and showing the active behaviour in the class.

Abstract

One of the educational problems that our nation is currently facing is the issue of the quality of education. Various attempts have been made to improve the quality of national education, including through various training and improvement of teacher competencies, procurement of books and learning tools, improvement of educational facilities and infrastructure, and improving the quality of school management. Leadership is one of the factors that determine the successful implementation of SBM. School Based Management gives flexibility to schools to manage their potential by involving all elements of stakeholders to achieve improvements in the quality of the school. Because schools have very broad authority, the presence of a leader figure is very important. An understanding of the nature of leadership. In implementing SBM, School Based Management gives flexibility to schools to manage their potential by involving all elements of stakeholders to achieve improvements in the quality of the school. Because schools have very broad authority, the presence of a leader figure is very important. An understanding of the nature of leadership. In implementing SBM, principals need to have strong, participatory, and democratic abilities. This research uses a qualitative approach in descriptive form. The use of descriptive methods in this study with the aim to describe an activity of implementing the leadership of the school principal in implementing school-based management which first analyzes the implementation process. The implementation of School Based Management (SBM) at Al-Masthuriyah Sukabumi High School is participatory. This management gives authority from the foundation to the school, and then the school delegates to each teacher and employee. All teachers and employees feel involved starting from planning, implementing, and evaluating school programs. The principle of decentralization considers that the problems that arise in schools will be adjusted as well as possible if the solution is left to the party closest to the existence of the problem. In resolving the problem of education in schools, the most knowledgeable about the problem are the residents of the school itself, especially teachers, staff, school principals and parents of students. The application of participatory management improves the quality and education services so that Al-Masthuriyah High School can compete and produce quality graduates both academically and non-academically. SBM will succeed well if school members have the initiative in carrying out their work and the initiative of each individual is appreciated. What happened at Al-Masthuriyah High School was the lack of school community initiative due to lack of ownership of the school.
