Abstract

A sustainable human resource management strategy in the Astrology Study Program is an important aspect in facing the industrial era 4.0, so that the astronomy study program can remain relevant and competitive in producing graduates who are able to compete amidst the complex dynamics of Industry 4.0. The aim of this research is to analyze, design, and implement sustainable human resource management strategies in the astronomy sciences study program, so that they are able to maximize individual potential, improve the quality of teaching, and meet the demands of industry 4.0. This type of research is Library Research using a qualitative descriptive method approach that connects existing theories with the current descriptive reality of astronomy. Meanwhile, textual data was obtained from several literature sources and scientific articles related to this research. The conclusion of this research is that the implementation of a human resource management strategy based on intelligence, enlightenment and sustainable achievement in the astronomy sciences study program is able to increase the efficiency, effectiveness and competitiveness of institutions in facing the challenges of the industrial era 4.0. The implication of these findings is the need for commitment and investment from all related parties, including university leaders, lecturers, staff and other stakeholders, to implement sustainable human resource management strategies to achieve institutional goals and advance astronomy study programs in the industrial era 4.0 .

Abstract

The advancement of this technology is the increasing number of alternative ways to determine the direction of the Qibla, one of which is by using an andoid cellphone in which there is a google maps application feature. but how to determine the direction of Qibla using google maps application is not many people know even though it can be said that almost all muslim communities have Android phones and have google maps applications. so in this article raised two formulations of the problem. First, how the analysis of Qibla direction determination using Google Maps application astronomical perspective. Second, how the analysis of Qibla direction determination using Google maps application Fiqh perspective. This research is of qualitative type with a focus on astronomy and fiqh studies. Primary Data is the result of observations and interviews related to determining the direction of Qibla using google maps application. with data analysis techniques used are descriptive-analytical. The study produced two findings. First, determining the direction of Qibla by using the google maps application is very easy with several stages, namely first looking for the Kaaba on the search menu and finding the location of our place where we are. for the determination of the direction of prayer with the Google maps application has weaknesses including the Qibla direction that can be determined with the google application can be used for buildings that are already standing. determining the direction of Qibla with Google Maps can only be applied to buildings, can not be applied to vacant land. Determination of the direction of Qibla with Google Maps on a large building that is clearly visible image, it will be easy to put the paper on the phone with the right, with reference to one / more sides of the building in the picture. Determining the direction of Qibla with Google Maps on a small building and the picture is not clear, it is difficult to put paper on the phone precisely, because it is not clear to see the reference to one/more sides of the building in the picture. Determining the Qibla direction with Google Maps on empty land cannot be applied. so that ijtihadong has been done using the google maps application, the intended direction of the results of this ijtihad makes a person more confident that he has been facing the Qibla. in fiqh dzan strong is something that can not be replaced by any doubt, in accordance with the rules اليقين َل يزال بالشك so long as a person has been convinced from the results of his Ijtihad that he is really facing the Qibla, then he has really been facing the Qibla and his prayer is valid.

Abstract

Observing the crescent moon to determine the beginning of the Hijri month has important notes in the form of the validity of the observation results and contrast problems. The application of astronomical observation technology and instrumentation can help the crescent moon observation process to increase the validity of observation results and increase contrast, including the use of an Open Computer Vision (OpenCV) based observation system. In OpenCV you can run a multiview menu, which displays several image profiles at once even if you only use 1 (one) camera instrument. Various models and observation systems have been widely applied, but it is necessary to quantify them to see the effectiveness of the observation results. Analysis of the effectiveness of observation results can be done by measuring the resulting image contrast value. From 8 data from observations carried out on 19 July 2023 in Sidarjo (7°27'39.2" S 112°39'23.2" E), with Michelson contrast, a very significant increase in the image contrast value was obtained, namely an average of 0, 90, with the lowest increase of 0.86 and the highest contrast increase of 0.92.

Abstract

The Wehea Dayak is one of the Dayak tribes that still exist today. The Wehea Dayak tribe lives in close proximity to nature. They depend on the surrounding rivers, mountains, and forests. Daily activities cannot be separated from farming and hunting. This activity has a close relationship with the Dayak Wehea traditional activities. In determining the time of traditional activities, the Wehea Dayak people still use the Wehea Dayak calendar, which is a legacy from their previous ancestors. The Dayak Wehea calendar is unique among most calendars in Indonesia. The Wehea Dayak calendar only has two elements, namely the 29/30 months and the 10 periods. The Wehea Dayak calendar does not recognize years like other calendars. This research examines how the Dayak Wehea calendar is implemented in the traditional activities and rituals of the Dayak Wehea community in Muara Wahau District. This research is field research conducted in Muara Wahau District in August and December 2017. This research uses a qualitative approach to describe the research results. The results of this research explain that the Wehea Dayak people use this calendar for ten periods, which refers to traditional activities. This implementation includes determining the cutting period (Nep bloh), farming time (Nemeq), time to plant rice (Nugal), rituals in the fields (Entaglel), the ritual of welcoming the rice that begins to contain (Embeq Hemin Plai), harvest time (Neljiang), the period of completion of harvest (Mel Haq Pangseh May), rice feast (Erau/Lom Plai), time to make a hut (Naq Jengea), and finally the children's era/wedding party (Nak Lom).

Abstract

“A calendar is a marking instrument that makes it easier for someone to mark days and seasons. In the calendar cycle used today, it is agreed that there are 7 days in a week, namely Monday to Sunday, which then raises the question of where the name of these days came from and why they are called that. To answer this, a qualitative research study will be carried out which is library research. This article tries to answer why there are seven days in a week and where the names of the days come from from a mythological perspective so that we will find answers to the history of the origins of the naming of days from a mythological perspective because ancient nations were very steeped in their myths.”

Abstract

Astronomical Instruments or Astronomy is a scientific icon that is clear evidence of the development of Astronomy in classical Western and Islamic civilization. Even though the classical Falak instrument is simple, it holds extraordinary scientific treasures. Rubu' Mujayyab is an instrument used by humans to observe and calculate the positions of celestial bodies before telescopes and logarithm tables were invented. In the current era of technological development, Classical Falak Instruments such as the Rubu' Mujayyab need to be developed and adapted to technological advances into software or digital applications in order to continue to exist. This research aims to design the Javascript-based Rubu' Mujayyab application and determine the results of functionality testing and evaluation of the Javascript-based Rubu' Mujayyab digital application. This research was conducted using the Research and Development method. In this research, the classical astronomical instrument was digitally developed using the JavaScript programming language. The Falak instrument developed is Rubu' Mujayyab. This instrument is a classic astronomical instrument which is still relevant to current conditions and is widely used in studying astronomy in Madrasas, Islamic boarding schools and Islamic universities. After the digital application of the classic astronomical instrument was created, it was then validated with an instrument validation sheet by an Expert Researcher from Imah Noong, Lembang, namely Hendro Setyanto, as well as testing the functionality of the two applications. The result is a classic digital falak application, namely rubu' al-mujayyab itself. Apart from that, based on the results of functionality tests by Expert Researchers, it was found that this digital application can run and function well according to the function of the physical instrument.

Abstract

This article aims to compromise the two well-known hadiths of Imāmah Jibrīl and ʻAbdullāh bin ʻAmr, which are apparently contradictive each other, and explain further about forbidden times. It employs a literature study, with a post-positivistic/naturalistic approach. The collected data was analyzed using content analysis. The result shows that the two hadiths can harmonize by dividing the time into several types, allowing each prayer to end when the next one begins, except for Fajr. Astronomically, variations in shadow length at the end of Zuhur result from the value |ϕ-δ☼|, while the sun’s elevation for the end of Asr and Fajr or the end of Maghrib and Isha is relatively similar. The forbidden times are divided into: 1) from after the Fajr prayer until the sun rises at least 3°30', 2) from local noon time (12–EoT–Interpolation) until declining-sun, and 3) from after the Asr prayer until sunset.

Abstract

For Muslims, the need for a uniform calendar is urgent, because many Muslim worship activities are related to time. However, until now a single and universally applicable Lunar Calendar has not been realized. Currently, Muslims in the world still use the calendar that applies in their respective regions or countries. One of the researchers who is concerned with the zonal calendar problem is Abdurrahman Özlem. He was an amateur Muslim astronomer from Turkey who introduced the zonal calendar with the concept of the International Lunar Date Line. Apart from the concept initiated by Abdurrahman Özlem, there are actually several other zonal calendar concepts that have been initiated by other scientists. However, until now the Universal Lunar Calendar has not been realized. This paper examines Abdurrahman Özlem's ideas regarding a zonal calendar with the concept of lunar date boundaries with the visibility of the new moon. From the results of the study, it was found that the idea offered by Abdurrahman Özlem left problems regarding the time of tarawih and sahur prayers. Abdurrahman Özlem's calendar concept has not been able to solve the problem of differences in the Hijri calendar, but it has had an influence on the formation of criteria for visibility of the new moon and other lunar calendar models, namely the zonal calendar and the universal calendar as an effort to unify the lunar calendar.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the testimony of men who are identical in rukayatul hilal compared to women. This research is library research using a normative approach. Primary data sources were obtained from documents such as books, articles, decisions of the Minister of Religion and sources related to gender and women's testimony in rukyatul hilal. The results of this research show that the testimony in rukyatul hilal reflects the spirit of gender equality, although the involvement of women in testimony determining the beginning of the month (Ramadan, Shawwal and Zulhijjah) is still very minimal, namely 3% with testimony starting from 1 Shawwal 1421 H/2000 AD to 10 Zulhijjah 1440 H/2019 AD.

Abstract

This was motivated by religious problems related to differences between Islamic mass organizations in the method of determining the start of the Hijriah month between Nahdlatul Ulama (imkanrukyat) and Muhammadiyah (wujudul hilal). This research aims to analyze the prospects of Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah in the Unification of the Islamic Calendar in Indonesia. This research method is library research using an Islamic law and astronomy approach. Based on the existing methods, efforts to unify are carried out on both a national and international scale. It is necessary to have a clear, directed mechanism and jointly unite steps to realize the Islamic calendar in Indonesia. For this reason, the proposed calendar usage is the Uhadi calendar (unified Islamic calendar) and the Tawlifi calendar (Synthesized Islamic calendar). With an agreed calendar, it is hoped that this will be the best way without winning or defeating one party and still maintaining the Islamic brotherhood in Indonesia. This research has limitations so it is hoped that future researchers will complete the shortcomings and develop this research.
