Abstract

The majority of women in Sukawangun Village, Karangnunggal District, Tasikmalaya Regency rely solely on their husbands' income, resulting in unmet basic family needs. Therefore, the Women Farmers Group in the Wangunwati Rubber Plantation, Sukawangun Village, Karangnunggal District, Tasikmalaya Regency seeks ways to empower women to improve family welfare. The research problems in this study are: 1) How is the empowerment of women through the Women Farmers Group in the Wangunwati Rubber Plantation, Sukawangun Village, Karangnunggal District, Tasikmalaya Regency? 2) How is the fulfillment of basic family needs among women in the Women Farmers Group in the Wangunwati Rubber Plantation, Sukawangun Village, Karangnunggal District, Tasikmalaya Regency? 3) What is the role of members of the Women Farmers Group in helping meet their family's basic needs? The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of women's empowerment in helping meet basic family needs in Sukawangun Village, Karangnunggal District, Tasikmalaya Regency. The research method used is qualitative research. Data collection is done through interviews, qualitative observations, and collecting qualitative documents. Data analysis in this research uses qualitative analysis. The informants in the study are members of the Women Farmers Group who strive to help meet their family's basic needs, as well as the KKPKW management. The results of this study show that: 1) Empowerment is evident from the main objectives or concepts of the formation of this organization, which is to empower women. 2) The fulfillment of basic family needs can be seen from the awareness or understanding of female members regarding the fulfillment of needs due to economic demands, as well as the efforts and achievements made in meeting family needs. 3) The role of members of the Women Farmers Group in helping meet their family's basic needs can be seen from the synergy among members who maintain good relationships. Abstract

Social media is the one of the example of new media (as we called internet) that can influence the lifestyle of teenagers. The emergence of this new media can affect lifestyle among the people which become easier when establishing communication. The main focus for this observation is about lifestyle which is used by the users of social media. The aim of this observation is for knowing the sosial media’s influence for the students of SMA Negeri 1 Cikalongwetan in their lifestyle. The methode that is used for this observation is quantitative method using simple random sampling technique. Data collection from the questioner and then is processed using Statistical Package of the Social Science (SPSS). The result from this observation showing that social media has the significant influence toward the lifestyle which is showed by the calculating of r equals as 0,709. Showing the correlation value which is strong enough (>0,600) with the significant (0,000<0,05). The big influence of social media in SMA Negeri 1 Cikalongwetan’s students for their lifestyle can be seen from Adjucted R Square is about 50,3% and the rest is influenced by the others variable out of this observation about 49,7%.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the evidence in line with whether or not community participation and perceptions of the Sauyunan BUMDes work program in Cinangsi Village, Cibogo District, Regency. This research approach is descriptive and quantitative. According to the research, the medium category dominated community participation in the Sauyunan BUMDes work program in terms of involvement in the planning process (44.4%) and involvement in the implementation process (44.7%). Additionally, it emerged from the research that the medium category of the attitude indicator (33.6%), expectations (31.7%), motivation (35.4%), perceived object (34.1%), work program facilities (35.9%), and work program atmosphere (38.9%) dominated people's perceptions of work programs. Even though the moderate category dominates for all indicators of the variables, the less category also exists in each indicator with a number that can also be considered not small and sufficient to approach the value of the number of moderate categories in each indicator. Such a state of perception and participation shows a parallel between this perception and participation and the condition of BUMDes, which experience much underdevelopment starting from dim management, vacuum, and stagnation in the types of BUMDes businesses and not supporting facilities and atmosphere. Further, it can be concluded that H0: "Community participation in the Sauyunan BUMDes Work Program is mostly from the low category, and most public perceptions are from the less category about the BUMDes Sauyunan Work Program" can be rejected, and H1: Community participation in the Sauyunan BUMDes Work Program and public perceptions of the Sauyunan BUMDes Work Program have the highest number in the moderate category, which is acceptable. Abstract

Satisfaction about social service is a pleased or disappointed feelings which appear after comparing between perception or impression with the provided services by social service institution. The objectives of this research are able to achieve empirical descriptions about: 1. Respondent’s characteristics, 2. Basic needs fulfillment service for respondents, 3. Social service’s quality and facility for respondents, 4. Respondent’s relationship with the institution’s officers. The design of this research is a quantitative survey descriptive research. The populations in this research are 50 adolescents who are being benefit recipients in PPSBR Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat. The sampling thechnic of this research is using census thechnic of all the populations to be going to use as the research sample. The data collection thecnic is using questionnaire and the measurements tools are using Rating Scale. The results of this research show that the levels of adolescent’s satisfaction about social service at PPSBR Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat is in high level category. Basic needs fulfillment service for respondents is in medium level category. Social service’s quality and facility for respondents is in high level category. And Respondent’s relationship with the institution’s officers is ini high level category. Based on the problem’s analysis in this study it is suggested an altenative program is “Social extension about Social Service Enhancement Quality for Institution’s Officers at Panti Pemberdayaan Sosial Bina Remaja (PPSBR) Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat”.

Abstract

Correctional Families to be aware of mistakes, improve themselves, and not repeat criminal acts so that they can be accepted again by the community and play an active role in development. During their time in prison, inmates are isolated from the outside world, far from those closest to them, they lose their privacy and freedom, so they have to obey the rules of LAPAS which can lead to psychological pressure. This study intends to analyze the relationship between resilience With the Tendency of Depression in Prisoners in Correctional Institutions. The population in this study were convicts in correctional institutions, namely around 1914 people and then taking as many as 200 respondents who were in LAPAS were deliberately involved in this study. Respondents were selected using techniques convenience sampling, Respondents were selected based on predetermined characteristics and willingness to become respondents. This study uses a scale instrument resilience adapted from Reivich & Shatte and the depressive propensity scale instrument adapted by Schmitt. Research data were analyzed using correlational techniques Pearson’s. The results show that there is a negative relationship between resilienceand depressive tendencies. In dealing with the need for a positive response to unpleasant conditions so that they can strengthen themselves in adapting to change

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between the two variables in students, with a total of 122 respondents from University Bhayangkara. The method used in this study is correlational with convenience sampling technique. To see the relationship of the two variables studied, using SPSS version 22. The results obtained show that gratitude is positively related to the meaning of life in University Bhayangkara students with a correlation value of 0.617**. So it can be concluded that the higher the meaning of life, the higher the sense of gratitude.

Abstract

Abstract Assertive Training and the Motivational Interviewing Technique have been combined to form the Motivational Interviewing Assertive Technique. The principal aim of this research was to assess the impact of implementing the Motivational Interviewing Assertive (MI-a) technique on substance abuse victims exhibiting less assertive behavior, as well as to evaluate the efficacy of this intervention in promoting more assertive conduct. Assertive behavior refers to conduct that empowers an individual to freely exercise personal autonomy, defend oneself without experiencing unease, candidly and comfortably express emotions, or exercise rights without infringing upon the rights of others. The target behavior of research subjects undergoes modifications when it comes to communicating honestly, exhibiting challenges in expressing emotions, or refusing. The methodology employed in this study is single subject design (SSD). A-B-A is the research paradigm that is implemented; it consists of the following three phases: Phase A1 (baseline), Phase B (intervention), and Phase A2 (post-intervention). The behavioral observation recording sheet and the Assertive Behavior questionnaire were the instruments utilized. Among the methods of data collection are documentation studies, interviews, questionnaires, and observation. Then, it was further supported by the results of the questionnaire measurements, which indicated a substantial increase in score. Based on the results of the A1 baseline phase assessment, both subjects exhibited scores indicative of less assertive behavior. The scores for the two subjects in baseline phase A2, which occurred after the intervention, indicated that they exhibited a moderate degree of assertive behavior. The findings of this research demonstrate that the implementation of Motivational Interview Techniques and Assertive Training at the Sekar Mawar Foundation effectively enhances the assertive behavior of its clients. Abstract

This research aims to develop a School Environmental Partnership Design as an effort to Strengthen Student Character Education at Bandung 8 State High School. The implementation of this research is in accordance with Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 87 of 2017 concerning Strengthening Character Education, which explains that character education is one of the issues that must always be implemented in schools, the main value in strengthening character must be reflected in the behavior of the school community through collaboration between various parties within the education unit. The tri-center educational partnership is a collaboration between educational units, families and the wider community that is based on the principles of mutual cooperation, mutual trust and a willingness to make sacrifices in building an educational ecosystem that fosters character and a culture of student achievement. The approach used in this study is a qualitative research method. The research design used is Participatory Action Research (PAR). Data collected from this research was conducted through data collection techniques such as observation, interviews and documentation studies. The primary data source in this study consisted of 6 informants who were selected according to the considerations required in the research. Based on the results of the initial assessment, the implementation of the ongoing partnership program at SMAN 8 Bandung is still less efficient in terms of management. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the process of implementing Partnership Design so that it is more efficiently adapted to field needs. After going through the implementation phase, it shows that the School Environmental Partnership Design that has been developed is considered to be able to increase mutual understanding and active participation from all educational units. This was marked by the results of the final reflection which showed enthusiasm from all informants in understanding this School Environmental Partnership Design. Technological development through the process of organizing, increasing capacity and participation can have a positive impact and become a reference in making the implementation of School Environmental Partnership Design more efficient.

Abstract

Elderly people undergoing social rehabilitation in halfway houses, especially those experiencing anxiety, need to receive special treatment, including; services to overcome anxiety, and feel optimistic about life lived every day. One technique for dealing with anxiety is touch therapy. This research aims to reveal the application of touch therapy in overcoming anxiety problems experienced by the elderly at the Pedurenan Bekasi Halfway House. The method used is single subject design. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews and observation. The research results show that applying touch therapy to subjects can reduce anxiety

Abstract

This study describes the social functioning of the Sunda Wiwitan indigenous community of Pasir Garut Village, which is a community that adheres to local beliefs. This study was conducted using a descriptive qualitative methodology. The results of the study illustrate that the adherents of the Sunda Wiwitan local belief in Garut do not experience significant obstacles in being able to function socially in society even though they have different identities. They understand that the results of the judicial review convince them that the government has recognized their existence, although they realize that there are still differences in treatment in the administration of civil registration, but there are other alternatives that can be done so that there is a cessation of their lives and they can function socially
