Abstract

The increasing level of urbanization often corresponds with heightened levels of activity and events within a city. This phenomenon is exemplified in the bustling environment of Jalan A.P Pettarani, Makassar, where the proliferation of activities has led to a dense concentration of community engagement along its roads. Despite this vibrancy, the development of sidewalks on Jalan A.P Pettarani has catalyzed the influx of active pedestrians. However, the functionality of these sidewalks has been compromised, lacking essential facilities that would otherwise enhance pedestrian comfort. This study aims to meticulously analyze the effectiveness of the current pedestrian pathways along Jalan A.P Pettarani, Makassar, alongside evaluating public perceptions regarding their functionality. Employing a descriptive qualitative methodology, the research integrates the utilization of SPSS software to assess pedestrian functionality based on the specifications outlined in PUPR No. 2/SE/M/2018, while also delving into public opinions on pedestrian functions. The findings underscore a pressing concern, indicating that the existing condition of the pedestrian pathways along Jalan A.P Pettarani only achieves a meager 41.6% effectiveness rating, falling short of the standards set by Research and Development (1991) for functionality. Furthermore, the analysis of public perceptions reveals insightful perspectives; infrastructure emerges as the most influential variable, commanding 48.7% of respondents' concerns, followed by safety (36.9%), health (17.4%), and environment (12.2%). Accessibility, though crucial, garners the least attention, with a mere 4.7% focus from respondents. Overall, this study sheds light on the urgent need for improvements in pedestrian infrastructure along Jalan A.P Pettarani, Makassar, highlighting the significant impact it holds on public perception and usability. Addressing these deficiencies is paramount in fostering a pedestrian-friendly environment conducive to the city's ongoing development and the well-being of its inhabitants.

Abstract

PT PLN (Persero) ULP Dua Langsa is a unit located in the Aceh region with losses of 4-7%. This research aims to analyze the reliability of 20 kV medium voltage overhead lines (SUTM) based on SAIDI and SAIFI. Factors that cause losses include loss of electrical energy due to load imbalances using unbalanced electrical loads in each phase. One of the programs to reduce losses to overcome this problem is using the MPR load balancing method (Reducing Technical Losses from House Connections) on New Installs, with the increasing number of customers and increasing growth in kWH sales, it is very important to control losses from balancing the transformer load. Compared with the system provisions at PT. PLN (Persero) The two-langsa flow is 1.04 for SAIFI, while the SAIDI value is 2.12. The ASAI (Average Service Availability Index) value is categorized as not yet reliable because it exceeds the IEEE standard of 0.999271.

Abstract

North Sulawesi Province implements regional autonomy to provide broader policies and authority to regional governments in managing local affairs. Motor Vehicle Name Transfer Fee (BBNKB) is an important source of income for local governments. Revenue from BBNKB is used to finance various development programs and public services in the region. However, in recent years BBNKB revenues at the Bapenda of North Sulawesi Province have decreased. This research aims to determine and analyze the factors that influence BBNKB revenue at the Regional Revenue Agency of North Sulawesi Province which has not met the target, and to formulate appropriate strategies to increase BBNKB revenue. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out in the stages of data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The theory used is Bryson's Strategic Management (2016) and SWOT analysis by Rangkuti (2014), which is then combined with a litmus test by Bryson, (2016). The research results show that the factors that influence BBNKB receipts involve a reduction in the rate of Transfer of Title Fee for first-delivered Motor Vehicles, a decrease in people's purchasing power, and delays in payment of Transfer of Title Fees for first-delivered Motor Vehicles. Then the formulation of the recommended strategy to increase BBNKB revenues includes a strategy to increase the rate of transfer of title for motorized vehicles for the first delivery, a strategy for creating a system or application for reporting vehicles that have been sold or progressively online and a strategy for collaborating with automotive dealers to help promote new vehicles.

Abstract

Dams, constructed using various materials such as earth fill, stone fill, concrete, and/or stone masonry, serve the primary function of water storage. However, they can also be designed to retain sediment, forming reservoirs. Central to dam infrastructure is the spillway, tasked with regulating water release downstream. This research aims to assess the magnitude of outflow discharge by conducting flood tracing calculations through the spillway and evaluating the effectiveness of stilling ponds in channeling design flood discharge at Ameroro Dam. Employing HEC-RAS for stilling pond modeling, the study reveals that the stilling pond effectively manages flood discharges corresponding to Q100, Q1000, and QPMF events. Analysis using HEC-RAS further indicates that while the stilling pond adequately handles flow conditions during the Q100 return period, it proves ineffective in reducing the flow from the launch channel. Notably, the resulting Froude number of 6.40 signifies supercritical flow, prompting the inclusion of a beacon at the end sill. Consequently, the modified stilling pond configuration reduces flow velocity, transitioning the launch channel flow to subcritical with a Froude value of 0.18.

Abstract

Floods are a natural phenomenon that can cause damage to people, property and lives. Floods become a cause for concern when losses are incurred, as rivers usually take up their channel space before they reach human habitation. Floods can be caused by a variety of factors, including the state of the rain-catchment area, the length and intensity of the rainfall, soil cover, topographical conditions and the drainage network's storage capacity. One of the structures that can be used for flood control and prevention is a dam. This study aimed to analyze the return flood discharge and flood tracing through the spillway with the addition of 2 spillway gates at the Ameroro Dam. The study was carried out by analyzing secondary data and primary data obtained through data collection and field surveys. The data analysis stage determines the size of the Design Watershed Hydrograph from the design rainfall calculation using the Snyder Unit Hydrograph method in HEC-HMS 4.11 software. The return period flood discharge in the Ameroro dam for the return period Q 2th = 224.26 m3/s, Q 5th = 270.26 m3/s, Q 10th = 301.73 m3/s, Q 25th = 340.71 m3/s, Q 50th = 369.65 m3 /s, Q 100th = 398.34 m3/s, Q 1000th 493.21 m3/s, and Q PMF = 1222.66 m3/s. When two spillway gates are used to trace floodwaters through the spillway, the outflow discharge is less or the flood is reduced when there are no spillway gates used. Therefore, it is safer for the structure of the dam body and more effective to reduce floods at the Ameroro Dam to use two spillway gates.
