Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of third party funds, capital adequacy ratios and credit risk on the financial performance of banks in Indonesia. The data used in this research is secondary data. Meanwhile, the samples in this study were banking companies listed on the IDX during the 2018-2022 period. The method used is porposive sampling and there are 24 banks that are included in the criteria of this study. The results showed that third party funds (X1) had a positive and significant effect on financial performance because the value of tcount > ttable was 8.294 > 1.97993. The capital adequacy variable (X2) has no partial effect on financial performance (ROA) because the tcount < ttable is 1.405 < 1.97993. The credit risk variable (X3) has a negative and significant effect on financial performance (ROA) because the tcount < ttable is -3.834 < 1.97993. Third Party Funds, Capital Adequacy and Credit Risk simultaneously affect the financial performance of banks listed on the IDX in 2018 – 2022. Abstract

This article discusses the importance of digital literacy skills in combating the spread of misinformation (hoaxes) in the post-truth era. Digital literacy empowers individuals to have greater control in understanding messages disseminated through digital media. The research conducted for this article adopts a literature review methodology, exploring relevant references, and proposes three categories of digital literacy definitions. The level of digital literacy comprehension influences an individual's ability to navigate and interpret information, particularly within the realm of social media. While social media platforms can enhance engagement in democratic systems, they also carry negative risks associated with freedom of expression. Data from Diskominfo Jabar in 2018 revealed that 92.4% of hoaxes were detected through social media channels. Therefore, digital literacy is crucial in preventing the spread of hoaxes, especially on microblogs (Twitter) and social networking sites (Facebook and Instagram). This article emphasizes the significance of digital literacy in communication and how it can effectively combat misinformation in the post-truth era. The plans to enhance digital literacy as a preventive mechanism are also discussed. Digital literacy skills enable individuals to cognitively verify information and present alternative options to debunked falsehoods. By improving digital literacy, social media users can exert optimal control over their usage and mitigate the proliferation of hoaxes. In confronting the challenges of misinformation in the post-truth era, an effective strategy is to promote digital literacy and educate the public on recognizing hoax characteristics, verifying information, and addressing dubious content.

Abstract

Technology that has developed rapidly in the last two decades has provided many changes in human life, including investment. Various information technology-based non-bank financial institutions continue to emerge to provide convenience and efficiency for the public. One of the growing fintech products is the crowdfunding system which is the scope of financing. Equity crowdfunding as part of crowdfunding has a concept similar to a public offering that has been run for more than 25 years. Equity Crowdfunding services provide many conveniences for its users, especially new entrepreneurs with limited funds and require additional capital to develop and expand their business. However, the convenience provided is also accompanied by greater risk compared to public offerings on the stock exchange. The research used the Normative Juridical method by examining literature materials: Laws and Regulations, Books, Journals, and Internet Articles related to Equity Crowdfunding and Public Offering. The concept offered by Equity Crowdfunding with Public Offering is similar. Still, the limited services and parties involved provide greater risks such as the risk of investment loss, the risk of lack of liquidity, the risk of scarcity of dividend distribution, and the risk of delusions of share ownership. Moreover, the limited regulation of this service needs to strengthen the existing legal protections to protect its users' rights.
