Abstract

The population in Central Kalimantan is plural, both in terms of ethnicity and religion. The indigenous people are Dayaks, but other ethnic groups also live side by side and become part of the people of Central Kalimantan such as Banjar, Javanese, Bugis, Madurese, Batak, Chinese, and so on. Those ethnics currently live in Central Kalimantan. Also, the followers of the religion, such as Muslims, Christians, Catholics, Hindus, Buddhists, and Kaharingan are developing rapidly in Central Kalimantan. The plurality of ethnicity relations has the potential for conflict because the differences in tradition and culture become cultural boundaries which become boundaries among the communities. In 2001 ago, Central Kalimantan Province had experienced a dark period of riots under the ethnicity reason in Sampit, Kotawaringin Timur Regency. The National Unity, Politics and Community Protection Agency (Kesbangpol) is an office in Central Kalimantan Province which the main task is the development of the values of nationalism and conflict management. Then, the particular study aims to analyze the strategies of Kesbangpol in maintaining harmony among religious & ethnic groups in Central Kalimantan based on Huma Betang Philosophy.

Abstract

This paper reports a qualitative study on Catholic religious learning during the COVID-19 pandemic in East Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. Studies on online learning have actually been done a lot, however, especially in Catholic religious learning, it seems that it is still rare. The development of the results of this study was obtained from interviews with Catholic religious teachers about learning patterns in their schools. Data were collected through a qualitative approach to enable the collection of substantial descriptive data to form the basis for the design of the conceptual framework. The results of this study show that teachers have carried out their learning well by integrating learning and support, namely schools, teachers, and parents. Through this integration, students can achieve an essential Catholic moral and spiritual experience. Students gain positive and meaningful experiences about family life, especially through learning experiences with their parents or guardians.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the growth of saline tilapia fed artificial feed in the form of microcapsules enriched with protein in the form of magot flour, which has a standard composition for fish growth in general. The research method used was a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. In this study, the time intervals for treatment were: A (feeding every 2 hours), B (feeding every 4 hours), C (feeding every 6 hours), D (feeding every 8 hours). The results showed that the highest average growth was obtained in treatment B with an interval of 4 hours, the increase in biomass reached 11.57 grams. While the lowest growth was obtained in treatment D at an interval of 8 hours resulting in an average growth of 3.56 grams. The results of the analysis of variance on the growth of saline tilapia biomass showed that the calculated F value was greater than the F table 1% and 5%. This shows that artificial microcapsule feed can be consumed quite well, on a laboratory scale. This was also proven in the Tukay test which showed a difference in the effect of microcapsule feed given at different time intervals. In addition, there are supporters in the maintenance of the research, namely water quality, including temperature during the study between 270C – 290C, water pH ranging from 6.5 - 9, and water salinity during the study between 0 - 30 ppt.

Abstract

Nowadays, quality learning from teachers is an important factor in preparing graduates who are able to compete competitively. The relationship of the millennial students and technology transforms the way they get to know the world. Therefore, achievement, guidance and motivation for the current generation is a challenge. Students' perceptions are directly related to self-concept, motivation, effort, and help in finding behaviors. A perception is one’s response resulting from a stimulus received. Students’ learning processes cannot be separated from perceptions as a process of understanding information. Teachers must be able to develop a strategy that ensures learning conducted by teachers is in accordance with what the students expect and desire.  A good student's initial perception of the material being studied makes students enthusiastic in participating in learning.  A good perception of the object will affect motivation and desire to learn, which will affect the students’ mastery of concepts. Students’ perceptions can contribute to their mastery of concepts in civic learning. This research aims to determine the significant effect of students' perceptions of learning civics on their mastery of concepts. The research was conducted on 64 students. The instrument was tested for validity and reliability. The data were then analyzed using the One-Way Anova test. The results showed students' perceptions of civic education learning significantly influences their mastery of concepts.

Abstract

The settlement of cases of children in conflict with the law in Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Criminal Justice System has undergone changes in fundamentals. The change lies in the adoption of the concept of diversion in the settlement of children's cases. However, diversion is not fully in favor of all Indonesian children. The existence of categorization in the application of diversion in Article 7 paragraph (2) creates discriminatory treatment for children in conflict with the law and is inconsistent with the provisions of Article 2 letter c of Law Number 11 of 2012. The issues to be discussed are related to the legal politics of determining diversion in the Act. Law Number 11 of 2012, the current implementation of diversion, and the formulation of diversion in Law Number 11 of 2012. The research method uses a normative juridical approach. Based on the discussion, it is concluded that diversion is the will of the community. Currently, mandatory diversion is applied at every level of examination of child cases. However, the categorization of diversion in Article 7 paragraph (2) is still discriminatory, therefore the current application of diversion is not fully in favor of the best interests of the child. The ideal formulation of diversion includes (1) mandatory diversion for every criminal act committed by a child because the child who commits a crime is influenced by external factors or not purely his will. (2) Punishment of a child must prioritize the best interests of the child. (3) punishment of children that prioritizes rehabilitation, education, and resocialization.

Abstract

The long road of economic and political modernisation of democracy in Indonesia has transformed Indonesian society into an industrial community that has not empowered the people's economic sectors. The ups and downs of democratic politics remain far from the culture of deliberation mandated by Pancasila. The combination of development politics that has hit collective economic, cultural wisdom with political liberalisation in the past 15 years has negatively impacted Indonesian cultural identity. The following study seeks to reconstruct the local knowledge and political values of Indonesian ethnic groups and communities to demonstrate the potential of social capital to improve our democratic politics. The object of the study consists of two types: the first is ethnic groups, with a focus on Wajo and Minang, the second is the communities of several urban parks in Java. The theoretical perspective used is the theory of consultative democracy. From the point of view of political anthropology, this study is a case study in the context of qualitative research with qualitative-interpretive methods.
