Abstract

During the political liberalisation of the reform era (1998 – present), various groups have complained about the evil practices of democratic politics. One of the shooting targets is that we have made the wrong choice, namely adopting a majoritarian or liberal democracy model. In the literature on democracy theory, one of the theories relevant to improving democratic practice is TDD (Theory of Deliberalization of Democracy). Although still using the principle of representation, TDD, in general, makes corrections or improvements to the procedures and substance of democracy that have been poorly practised in Indonesia today. This research is based on qualitative research using the descriptive-analytical method to provide a clear picture of the object of the problem. The conclusion of this study shows evidence that there is a model of democracy—both in substance and in procedures. They are different from the mechanism of representation initially derived from the theory of representative democracy.

Abstract

The research aim is to know the influences of games strategy in teaching structure to the students of Madsarah Aliyah Swasta Al-Khairiyah Pematangsiantar. The type of this research is quantitative and experimental. The method of the research concerned primarily with discovering the effectiveness and the significant difference of the use of games in teaching structure. The design of this research is a true experiment design with pre-test and post-test procedure. The data were taken from the objective structure test. This research applied a random sampling technique to get samples. The total sample is 60 students. The sample is divided into two groups; the experimental group and the control group. Then, the data were analyzed using the t-test method to find out whether there is significant difference between the experimental groups taught by using games as a treatment, and the control group taught conventionally. The research results, based on the results of the analysis of Independent Samples T-Test Teaching Structure through Games to the Students and from the data analysis it was found  that teaching Structure through Games is better than Teaching Structure conventionally. Besides, it can also be concluded that the t calculation value obtained (5, 12) > t table (2,021), so H0 is refused and accept the Ha, or H alternative. Thus, the hypothesis that states that “there is a significant difference between teaching structure through game and teaching structure without game” is accepted.

Abstract

Women are always interesting issues to be made into a study, both in countries that are Muslim majority and non-Muslim majority. Admittedly or not, the presence of women on this earth has a very important role. They are a part of this life, however, it is still felt by at least people who are aware of this. Many women have succeeded in carrying out their role, so it is worthy of being a good role model and teaching especially for Muslims in particular. One of the women who needed to be a role model was Khadijah as the first wife of the Prophet. Khadijah is a phenomenal figure, integrity, self-purity, faith, and her commitment to continue to support and sacrifice for the success of the Prophet's preaching. Moving on from that thought, the authors can explain that Khadijah was already well known among the Muslims only limited to the wife of the Prophet Muhammad, but the position and participation of Khadijah in developing Islam in the first period were less noticed by the Eve today. Whereas the most important thing that needs to be understood from Khadijah is the position and participation of Khadijah to be a good role model for women today. Furthermore, the authors can conclude from this paper that Khadijah always participated in the struggle of the Prophet, since before becoming the wife of the Prophet and after becoming her husband. In general there are three things that motivate Khadijah in the struggle of the Prophet, namely the personality of the Prophet, Khadijah's love for the Prophet and Khadijah's belief in the truth of Islamic teachings. Khadijah's sacrifice in developing Islam which is greatest was her body and soul.

Abstract

The teacher is one part that has an important role in building the character and mentality of students. High school students are part of the human growth phase in adolescence. Teenagers are part of the leadership baton. At a young age this is also targeted for criminals, including drug traffickers, because adolescence is identical to the age of self-discovery. The methodology carried out in this study with the research design combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches with dominant-less dominant design model. The methodology carried out in this study is divided into 2 parts, the first through the survey methodology and the second through in-depth discussion to obtain results related to the study Drug prevention communication planning for high school students. The results of this study indicate that high school students in Medan City have received information regarding abuse of drug use. Drug abuse can cause physical or psychological dependence. Knowledge that is owned by high school students in Medan City should be followed up by carrying out positive activities. School is a part of the community that determines student attitudes. Activities in school activities must always be in sync with existing development conditions. Schools are not just a learning medium, but schools must play an active role in raising awareness for their students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the steps for developing elementary mathematics learning tools with a process skills-based scientific approach to improve mathematics learning outcomes and to describe the quality of the development tools. The quality of the development results is determined based on the criteria of Nieveen, namely valid, practical and effective. The competencies used in the development are Class VI statistical competencies. This research is a development research. The learning device development model in this study was adapted from the ADDIE model development model which consists of analyze, design, develop, implementation and evaluation stages. The trial was carried out in three stages, namely (1) trial / expert validation; (2) limited trials; and (3) field trials. Field trials were carried out at MI Hamzanwadi No. 1 Pancor. The research instruments used were RPP assessment sheets, LKPD assessment sheets, student response questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires and learning implementation observation sheets. The validity data analysis and the practicality data analysis were each carried out by converting the quantitative data in the form of the assessment results into qualitative data in the form of a standard scale of five. The data analysis of the effectiveness of the competency achievement test was carried out by determining the minimum percentage of completeness. This study produced learning tools consisting of lesson plans with 4 meetings, 4 subchapter student activity sheets (LKPD), and mathematics learning outcomes tests on statistical competence. Each component of the learning device is valid, practical, and effective

Abstract

Marhaenism is a pure thought sparked by Soekarno which departs from the most substantial and universal human life needs, namely the Social Conventions of Man, which requires the realization of the welfare of human life that can only be fulfilled if the harmonization between individual independence and social justice has been created. In reality these demands could not be found at the time, and this concern over the problems (the fate of the Indonesian nation) was the starting point of Sukarno's study in giving perspective to the ideology of marhaenism. This group of poor and destitute people is what Soekarno called the Marhaen.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically test experience quality, customer brand engagement and brand performance on purchase intention with brand loyalty as a mediating variable. Data collection uses a non-probability method with purposive sampling technique. A total of 238 respondents, namely customers who consumed “brand X” more than once, were collected by distributing questionnaires via an online google form. The analysis technique uses SEM with the Smart PLS program. The results showed that experience quality and customer brand engagement can affect brand loyalty. In addition, experience quality, customer brand engagement and brand loyalty can affect purchase intention. However, the brand performance variable cannot affect brand loyalty. Furthermore, experience quality can mediate customer brand engagement on purchase intention. Furthermore, the brand loyalty variable can also mediate experience quality and customer brand engagement in influencing purchase intention. Finally, brand performance has no effect on purchase intention if it is mediated by brand loyalty.
