Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic brought economic, financial and social shocks to the world community. The emergence of this outbreak in Indonesia has made the capital market experience various challenges, especially earlier this year, which had decreased due to the emergence of the Covid-19 outbreak. No wonder the Covid-19 pandemic is likened to a black swan event for the global economy. The data analysis technique used in this study was a simple regression model. The test results prove that the exchange rate has a significant effect on the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI). The coefficient of determination was 48.4 (48.4%), which indicates that the exchange rate could explain 48.4% toward the variation of share prices during the pandemic for all companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from March to August 2020. Meanwhile, the other 51.6% is explained by other factors which are not disclosed in this study.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic in 2021 still has not shown a significant decline. Even the President of the Republic of Indonesia stated that COVID-19 is factually still occurring by issuing Presidential Decree No. 24 of 2021 concerning Determination of the Factual Status of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Pandemic in Indonesia. Policy measures and cooperation are needed to face the ongoing pandemic's challenges, especially in the economic, social, and resource fields. This also means that collaboration between the government and the private sector is essential in handling the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia. In this collaboration, there are supporting factors and inhibiting factors. Supporting factors include shared motivation, leadership, and institutional procedures or provisions. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors include policies issued by the government and the private sector, whose business and economic factors are predominantly affected by COVID-19. Government and private sector collaboration in handling COVID-19 can be carried out with several approaches: health security capacity, availability of health services, response management, PentaHelix and vaccination, promotive and preventive efforts, response actions, detective actions, and preventive actions.

Abstract

Teacher efficacy (TE) has been proven to have significant correlation to a teacher’s performance in educating. Despite that significance, there are only a few TE scales available in Bahasa Indonesia, especially ones that are related to gifted students. This research is conducted to adapt Tschannen-Moran and Hoy’s (2001) Teacher’s Sense of Efficacy Scale (TSES) based on the adaptation guideline of International Test Commission ITC (2016). TSES contains three factors which includes student engagement, instructional strategies, and classroom management. Participants of this research amounts to 127 teachers who have previously or is currently teaching gifted students that are obtained through convenient and snowball sampling. Aiken’s V is used to evaluate the scale’s content validity. Evidence of construct validity is gathered through CTT, EFA and CFA analysis. The result of Aiken’s V is considered of high value, which means each item shows relevancy in measuring the construct. With a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0,908, p-value of >0,05 from the CFA analysis, and CFI, TLI, NFI, IFI, RMSEA, SRMR and CR values that are in accordance with the criteria set. It can be concluded that the TSES-Indonesia (12 items) is proven to be valid and reliable.
