Abstract

The principle of utmost good faith is the most important principle in life insurance contracts. This principle is applied in life insurance practice, among other things, when the insured completes the insurance application form. The legal protection provided to consumers in life insurance businesses in Indonesia is based on the principle of utmost good faith, which is the act of accurately providing all requested and unsolicited information from the insurance company regarding the insured item or the insured object/interest. Examples of bad faith by life insurance companies regarding life insurance policies related to their obligations in running the life insurance business include the insurer's frequent refusal to pay life insurance claims.

Abstract

Corruption is an extraordinary crime because it is systemic, endemic, and has a very broad impact that not only harms state finances but also violates the social and economic rights of the wider community so that its action requires special efforts. Termination of investigation of corruption is carried out through the issuance of an Investigation Termination Order (SP3) by investigators (Police, Prosecutors, or the Corruption Eradication Commission). Based on legal validity if it meets the reasons for insufficient evidence: The investigator concludes that the existing evidence is insufficient to continue the case to the prosecution stage, the alleged incident does not fulfill the elements of a corruption crime, the case is stopped for reasons of the loss of the right to sue due to the suspect's death, expiration, or ne bis in idem (the same case has been decided by the court and has permanent legal force).

Abstract

The market dominance of modern retail has created unequal competition for traditional retailers. Modern retailers possess substantial capital, extensive distribution networks, and efficient management systems, enabling them to sell goods at lower prices. Conversely, traditional traders purchase goods in small quantities, resulting in higher cost prices. Modern retailers offer shopping comfort through air conditioning, good lighting, neat product displays, cashless payment options, and adequate parking. These are key preferences for modern consumers. Many modern retailers are permitted to operate near traditional markets or residential areas, seizing market share that was previously the catchment area of traditional traders.

Abstract

Article 33 paragraph (3) of the 1945 Constitution mandates the state that everything related to land as part of the earth, water and natural resources contained therein in Indonesia must and must be managed and utilized for the greatest prosperity of the Indonesian people. The state's right to control land is regulated in Article 1 and Article 2 of the UUPA, which also states that land controlled by the state is an elaboration of the state's right to control land, water and space. State land as land directly controlled by the state is land that is not attached to any land rights, as regulated in the UUPA. Control of land rights from a juridical-theoretical perspective is control based on rights, which are protected by law and generally give authority to the rights holder to physically control the land that is being claimed, for example the land owner uses or takes advantage of the land that is being claimed, not handed over to another person

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of service quality on patient satisfaction at Fairy Clinic. Service quality is one of the main factors determining patient satisfaction with healthcare services. This study employed a quantitative approach with a survey method. The study population was all patients treated at Fairy Clinic during April–June 2026. A sample of 150 respondents was selected using accidental sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a Likert scale measuring five dimensions of service quality (tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy) and patient satisfaction. Data analysis was performed using validity and reliability tests, simple linear regression analysis, t-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results showed that service quality had a positive and significant effect on patient satisfaction, with a regression coefficient of 0.781, a calculated t-value of 15.842, greater than the t-table of 1.976, and a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). The coefficient of determination of 62.8% indicates that service quality explains 62.8% of the variation in patient satisfaction, with the remainder influenced by factors outside the study. This finding suggests that the better the service quality provided by Fairy Clinic, the higher the patient satisfaction level.

Abstract

The unemployment rate among generation Z in Indonesia is relatively high, especially in the 15-24 year old age group (16.42%) and 25 -29 year olds (3.08%), indicating significant challenges in entering the job market even though this generation is known to be adaptive to technology. Based on data from the Engineering Career Center (ECC), lack of career preparation education is one of the main causes, such as lack of self-confidence during interviews, difficulty recognizing one's potential, and lack of information about the world of work. On the other hand, TikTok is used by creators such as @vmuliana (Vina Muliana) to deliver career education content. This research aims to analyze the influence of exposure to the educational content of the TikTok @vmuliana account on fulfilling Generation Z's career preparation information needs among students at Ibnu Chaldun University, Jakarta. This quantitative research uses a non-probability sampling technique, purposive sampling, with 50 respondents who meet certain criteria. The t test results showed a positive and significant effect (p = 0.000 < 0.05), with a coefficient of determination of 61.1%. The findings support the S-O-R theory and media exposure theory, and confirm the potential of social media as an effective career education tool for the younger generation.

Abstract

Plagiarism is defined as the act of taking or presenting another person's work as one's own, regardless of intent. This infraction can be substantiated when supported by robust evidence. Academic works are often targeted by plagiarism, as the constrained writing proficiency among undergraduate students may foster such occurrences. A principal preventive endeavor to mitigate plagiarism within academic works involves the deployment of plagiarism detection applications. A primary preventive measure to mitigate plagiarism in academic works is the utilization of plagiarism detection software. Third-party applications typically require the purchase of a license to optimally access their full features. Cognizant of this limitation, the author developed an alternative application, although its capabilities are restricted to the detection of internal manuscripts. The application engineered herein implements the Rabin-Karp algorithm, leveraging a quadword approach. The concept of the quadword itself incorporates a phrase-based technique, functioning by generating a collection or set comprising four consecutive words within the source text

Abstract

This study analyzed public sentiment towards the National Mandate Party (PAN) on YouTube comments using the Term Frequency Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) approach and cosine similarity. The aim of the study was to map the tendency of public opinion into three categories: positive, negative, and neutral, and to evaluate the performance of this method compared to a simple lexicon-based approach. Comment data is obtained through the YouTube Data API, then processed through the stages of text cleanup, normalization, stopword removal, and stemming using Sastrawi. Word representation is formed with TF-IDF, while sentiment classification is done by calculating vector similarity using cosine similarity. The results of the analysis showed that neutral sentiment dominated at 63.2%, followed by negative sentiment at 20.7%, and positive sentiment at 16.1%.  The TF-IDF model  is able to classify neutral and negative comments quite well, although some positive comments are difficult to distinguish from neutral comments. These findings suggest that discussions about PAN on YouTube tend to be informative rather than emotional, with a higher tendency to criticize than support. In conclusion, the TF-IDF and cosine similarity methods are effective in providing an overview of public opinion with low computational complexity, while being a lightweight alternative to deep learning-based methods.
