Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Project for Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile (P5) based on the local wisdom of the Petik Laut Tradition at SMKN 1 Kraksaan Probolinggo. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source and method triangulation. The findings reveal that the implementation of the P5 program based on the Petik Laut Tradition is carried out through three systematic stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Petik Laut Tradition is utilized as a contextual learning resource containing spiritual, social, and ecological values, thereby creating meaningful learning experiences. This implementation is effective in internalizing the six dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile, namely faith and devotion to God Almighty and noble character, mutual cooperation, global diversity, independence, critical thinking, and creativity. The learning process also enhances students’ active participation through field observations, interviews, documentation, and project-based product creation. In addition, the study finds that the teacher’s role as a facilitator, community involvement, and school support are the main supporting factors for successful implementation. However, several challenges were identified, including limited implementation time, insufficient facilities and infrastructure, funding constraints, and differences in students’ understanding of cultural values. Overall, the implementation of P5 based on the Petik Laut Tradition strengthens students’ character while also preserving local culture within the context of 21st-century education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the differentiated learning model within the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum at MTs Mambaul Ulum Kaliacar Gading Probolinggo. The study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Research participants consisted of the madrasa principal, teachers, and students, who were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation and technique triangulation, while data analysis followed the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model, which includes data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that differentiated learning has been implemented as an integral part of the Merdeka Curriculum through diagnostic assessment, content differentiation, process differentiation, and product differentiation. Teachers conducted an initial mapping of students’ learning needs prior to instruction, utilized a variety of learning resources, grouped students according to their readiness levels, and provided diverse task options based on students’ abilities and characteristics. The implementation of differentiated learning had a positive impact on students’ participation, motivation, self-confidence, and engagement in the learning process. Furthermore, it contributed to the creation of a more inclusive, participatory, and student-centered learning environment. However, several challenges were identified, including limited instructional time, relatively large class sizes, and inadequate learning facilities and media.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dominance of outcome-based assessment in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in schools through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The article selection process was assisted by Rayyan and reported by adapting the PRISMA flow, including identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and inclusion of final articles. Articles were collected from Scopus and Google Scholar using search strings related to PAI assessment, learning evaluation, outcome-based assessment, formative and summative evaluation, affective assessment, psychomotor assessment, and authentic assessment. The initial search identified 500 articles published between 2016 and 2025. After title and abstract screening, 95 articles were selected for full-text review, and 12 relevant articles were finally analyzed. The findings show three main patterns. First, PAI assessment is still dominated by cognitive tests, scores, written assignments, and summative evaluation. Second, affective and psychomotor assessments are less systematically implemented due to limited instruments and teachers’ assessment literacy. Third, authentic, formative, reflective, and performance-based assessments are needed to balance outcome-based assessment with process-oriented assessment. This study contributes to the development of PAI assessment by offering a thematic synthesis that emphasizes the need for more holistic, contextual, and balanced assessment practices, particularly in line with the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

Islamic education aims to shape religious character through the practice of religious values in daily life. However, the challenges of globalization and declining social and environmental awareness demand educational strategies that integrate religious values with practical applications. This study aims to analyze the process of internalizing religious values through the Adiwiyata Madrasah Program in improving students' religious practices at MTsN 1 Probolinggo. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation with the madrasah principal, Adiwiyata coordinator, and teachers. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that internalization of religious values occurred through the ASIH (Clean Sunday) program, SEKAM (Waste, Energy, Biodiversity, Water, and Food), nature contemplation, and waste banks, all integrated with Islamic Religious Education learning. The program successfully improved habits of maintaining cleanliness, conserving energy and water, caring for the environment, and strengthening student discipline, responsibility, and participation in religious activities. The program's success is supported by madrasah policies, teacher exemplary behavior, and a religious school culture. While limited facilities and supervision are the main obstacles. The research findings confirm that the Adiwiyata Madrasah Program is effective as a means of internalizing religious values through habituation and direct experience. The novelty of this research lies in the integrated model of environmental education and Islamic education based on Fiqh al-Bi'ah, which makes Adiwiyata not only an environmental conservation program but also an instrument for developing students' religious character.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the optimization of Moodle LMS features in implementing flipped learning through YouTube-based content curation in Islamic Education at SMAN 17 Surabaya. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, focusing on in-depth exploration of instructional practices carried out by PAI teachers. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and document analysis, and analyzed using the interactive model of Matthew B. Miles. The results showed that teachers curated YouTube videos based on material relevance, resource credibility, presentation quality, and religious moderation values before integrating them into Moodle. The Activity Completion and Restrict Access features were used to organize the sequence of learning activities so that students could access the material before face-to-face learning, repeat videos when having difficulty understanding concepts, and complete prerequisite activities before participating in class discussions. During the face-to-face phase, students composed sermon texts, practiced sermons in front of the class, and took assessments through Moodle's Quiz and Assignment features. These findings indicate that Moodle functions as a pedagogical system that manages the learning flow, increases student engagement, and supports independent learning behavior. This study concludes that the effectiveness of LMS-based flipped learning depends on a pedagogical design that integrates content curation, learning activity management, and a student-centered learning experience
