Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Fisika is a Scientific Journal published by the Jurusan Pendidikan Fisika of the Teaching and Education Faculty of Halu Oleo University with a period of 4 (four) times a year, namely the January, April, July and November periods. Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Fisika publishes research articles in the field of Physics Education which include Physics Learning Models or Methods, Physics Learning Strategies, Physics Learning Media, ICT in Physics Learning, Physics Literacy Learning, Higher Order Thinking Skill Physics, Physics Learning Materials, with various types of research methods and applied physics. Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Fisika has been published through print media since 2016 with Volume 1, Number 1 in January 2016, and the initial electronic publication for the Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Fisika starting from Volume 5, Number 1 in January 2020. Purpose the existence of this journal is for the publication and dissemination of research results in the field of Physics education.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi fisika peserta didik kelas XI di SMAN 5 Kendari pada materi Usaha dan Energi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik kelas XI MIPA di SMAN 5 Kendari yang berjumlah 210. Sampel yang digunakan sebesar 57% dari populasi dengan jumlah sampel 120 peserta didik yang diambil secara acak. Data miskonsepsi diperoleh menggunakan instrumen four tier test diagnostic. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata miskonsepsi yang dialami peserta didik pada materi Usaha dan Energi digolongkan dalam kategori miskonsepsi sedang dengan persentase 39% yang berada pada rentang 30% - 60%. Urutan sub materi yang teridentifikasi miskonsepsi dari yang persentase tinggi yaitu hubungan usaha dan perubahan energi 49%, usaha 48%, hukum kekekalan energi mekanik (dalam medan gaya konservatif dan non konservatif) 39% dan energi  kinetik dan potensial (gravitasi dan pegas) 35%. Serta faktor penyebab terjadinya miskonsepsi pada penelitian ini sebagian besar disebabkan oleh peserta didik dan faktor lainnya yaitu konteks, buku teks dan cara mengajar.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) Menghasilkan Media Praktik yang sesuai dengan Mata Kuliah Praktik Teknik; (2) Mengetahui kelayakan Media Praktik Teknik Digital pada Materi Gerbang Logika. Penelitian ini merupakan pengembangan trainer teknik digital menggunakan metode ADDIE dengan tahapan Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Uji kelayakan produk dilakukan oleh dua ahli materi pembelajaran dan dua ahli media pembelajaran (Expert Judgement). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket dengan menggunakan skala likert untuk ahli. Teknik analisis data untuk kelayakan produk menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Media praktik yang dihasilkan berupa trainer yang terdiri dari 4 blok/area utama, yaitu blok input, blok output, blok development dan blok power, jobsheet yang terdiri dari materi praktik Gerbang Logika, yang berisi informasi mengenai panduan penggunaan dan perawatan trainer sudah sesuai dengan Mata Kuliah Praktik Teknik Digital; (2) Hasil uji unjuk kinerja sudah berfungsi dengan sangat baik dan stabil pada setiap bagian maupun secara keseluruhan; (3) Hasil uji kelayakan materi memperoleh persentase sebesar 80% dengan kategori “Layakâ€, hasil uji kelayakan media memperoleh persentase sebesar 98% dengan kategori “Sangat Layakâ€. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa media praktik yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran untuk mendukung kegiatan belajar mengajar pada mata kuliah praktik teknik digital.

This study aims to determine the effect of sintering temperature variations before leaching on the silica composition extracted from the Kendari Bay Clay. The research was carried out in the form of experimental research with stages, namely taking samples from the Kendari Bay Clay then the samples were washed with clean water and distilled water then filtered and dried in the sun for 24 hours. After drying, the sample was crushed and sieved with a 60 mesh, after that it was sintered in an electric furnace with temperature variations of 3000C, 5000C, 7000C and 9000C for 1 hour. The sample was leached with the solid-liquid extraction method in a 6 M HCl solution, stirred using a Magnetic Stirrer at a temperature of 1000C for 5 hours. Furthermore, the sample is filtered to get a residue then soaked using distilled water until the pH of water is neutral and dried in an oven with a temperature of 1000C for 5 hours. Analysis of the elemental composition and sample compounds using XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence). The results obtained showed that the variation of sintering temperature from 3000C to 7000C resulted in a colour change in the clay sample that was getting brighter and tended to increase the high purity silica content of 86.05% and could be used as a silica producer.Â

This study aims to obtain an effective STAD cooperative model physics learning tool to improve high school student learning outcomes on Static Fluid material. This research refers to the Kemp's development model. The results showed that the results of the development of physics learning tools were feasible for use in high school physics learning with the following results: The syllabus got a score of 3.49 (valid), the learning implementation plan got a score of 3.31 (valid), the student teaching materials got a score of 3, 46 (valid), student worksheets get a score of 3.33 (valid). Â

This study aims to: describe of increasing the science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes of students in class XI MIA1 SMA Negeri 6 Konawe Selatan on the subject matter of geometry optics and optical instrument by applying the discovery learning model. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MIA1 SMAN 6 Konawe Selatan in the even semester of the 2018/2019 school year, which amounted to 32 students. Data collection techniques were carried out with essay tests for cognitive learning outcomes and observation sheets for science process skills and the implementation of learning steps. Data analysis techniques using descriptive statistics. Based on the results of data the analysis and the discussion condudes: 1) Science process skills of students in class XI MIA1 SMAN 6 Konawe Selatan on the subject matter of geometry optics and optical instrument taught using discovery learning models have increased from the first cycle of the average score of science process skills all groups of students are in the sufficient category, whereas in cycle II all groups of students are in the good category. 2) The learning outcomes of students in class XI MIA1 SMAN 6 Konawe Selatan on the subject matter of geometry optics and optical instrument taught using discovery learning models have increased from cycle I the average value of learning outcomes by 73,13 whereas in cycle II the average value is 78,31.

The research objective was to determine the effectiveness of INoSIT (Integrated Nature of Science Inquiry with Technology) learning model to improve the scientific literacy competence of class IX2 students of SMPN 4 Kendari. Through the design of one group pretest-posttest which involved three science teachers as model teacher and observers which were carried out in odd semesters of the 2019/2020 school year. Data collection used the observation sheet for the implementation of learning, student activities, science literacy tests and student response questionnaires. The results of the analysis of average n-gain mean on scientific literacy competence were obtained on the indicators explaining scientific phenomena that were in the high category; while indicators evaluate and design scientific inquiry and interpretation of data and scientific evidence are still in the medium category. Furthermore, the results of hypothesis testing show that there is a significant difference between the scientific literacy competencies of students through the pretest and posttest on . In conclusion, the implementation of the INoSIT learning model in science learning is effective in increasing the scientific literacy competence of class IX2 students of SMPN 4 Kendari.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Google Classroom with the static fluid material Discovery strategy. The research subjects were 31 students of class XII MIPA 1 SMA N 4 Yogyakarta. The method used is pre-experimental quantitative research using one group pretest-posttest design supported by quantitative data from the results of student response questionnaires. Google Classroom LMS with the Discovery strategy has a significant and effective effect, it is shown that the posttest student scores are greater than the pretest scores. The results obtained from the questionnaire on the aspects of language structure at intervals > 3.64- 3.9 criteria agree, the presentation aspect in the interval range> 3.51 - 4.03 criteria agree, and language structure in the interval range > 3.67 -3, 93 criteria agree. From the questionnaire, it was explained that the facilities for working with Google Classroom were easy and helped students during the online learning period. These results indicate that learning with the Google Classroom LMS with the Discovery strategy can effectively be used on static fluid.

This study aims to determine the importance of developing student worksheets in physics learning and the appropriate specifications to be developed. The method used is a systematic review with a meta-ethnographic approach to determine the required new student worksheets specifications. The research data were obtained from relevant scientific articles available in open access journals, then reviewed and analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques. The results showed that it is necessary to develop a student worksheet that can improve students' soft skills and hard skills, namely student worksheets based on practicum with an emphasis on science process skills that are integrated with character values and assessment of science process skills by fulfilling the feasibility of aspects of content, language, presentation, and graphics. These findings are useful for educators as a reference in developing student worksheets in order to increase the effectiveness of physics learning both at the secondary school level and at the university level.

This research aims to improve students' critical thinking skills using guided inquiry models that was completed by scientific approach in momentum and impulses subjects. This research used pre-experimental method using one group pre-test and post-test design. The research was conducted at SMAN 3 Sidoarjo using one experimental class research design, namely class X MIA 3. The research variables used in the research were guided inquiry models using scientific approach as a manipulation variable, while the ability to think critically and the achievement learning as a respond variable. This research used homogeneity testing techniques to determine the homogeneity of data, normality test to know the category of normal distribution, t-pair test to compare between pre-test and post-test values, analysis of n-gain to find the improvement of student's critical thinking skills, and quantitative and descriptive technique to describe the implementation of learning using guided inquiry models. This research concluded that learning using guided inquiry models had improved the student's critical thinking skills in high categories and its implementation is very good categories.

This study aims to comprehend student's competency in PBT national exam in 2015 and CBT national exam at 2016-2018 valued by the material units and the average result of students. This study was conducted by qualitative approach combines with descriptive method. Where the subject is the exam result of certification students. The data was collected by documentation taken of the school authorities who analyzed the result of national exam in SMA 4 Kendari. Then, it could be concluded that according to the material unit, the heat and thermodynamics valued as the highest number that the average stood on 2015 and 2017, the measurement unit and cinematic were on 2016 and 2018. The subjects of electricity, magnetic, modern physics got the lowest average on 2015, 2017, and 2018. While on 2016 was the of wave and optic. In generally, the average National Exam score and student’s competency achievement decreases every years.
