Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Fisika is a Scientific Journal published by the Jurusan Pendidikan Fisika of the Teaching and Education Faculty of Halu Oleo University with a period of 4 (four) times a year, namely the January, April, July and November periods. Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Fisika publishes research articles in the field of Physics Education which include Physics Learning Models or Methods, Physics Learning Strategies, Physics Learning Media, ICT in Physics Learning, Physics Literacy Learning, Higher Order Thinking Skill Physics, Physics Learning Materials, with various types of research methods and applied physics. Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Fisika has been published through print media since 2016 with Volume 1, Number 1 in January 2016, and the initial electronic publication for the Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Fisika starting from Volume 5, Number 1 in January 2020. Purpose the existence of this journal is for the publication and dissemination of research results in the field of Physics education.

Abstract

This study aims (1) to find out the picture of students ability to complete the questions of the selected National Examination from 2016-2018 science subjects in physics at Batauga District Junior High School, (2) to determine the ability of students to complete selected National Examination questions from 2016-2018 science subjects in physics at Batauga District Junior High School in terms of the scope of the subject matter, and (3) to determine the ability of students to complete selected National Examination questions from 2016-2018 science subjects in physics at Batauga District Junior High School in terms of the sola multiple choice. This type of research is descriptive research. The population in this study were all class IX learners enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year at the State Junior High School in Batauga Distrid. Data collection techniques using the test of the National Examination in science subjects. Data analysis techniques in this study by making tabulation of data in the from of scores, determining the value of students, calculating the number of class interval values, determining the average and standard deviations, analyzing the percentage of students answer and grouping the results of analysis based on the percentage of students answers. Based on the results of research and discussion conclusions are obtained: (1) the ability of students in completing the questions of the National Examination selected from 2016-2018 natural science subjects in physics at Batauga Distrid Junior High School, the average value obtained students by 52,0, (2) the ability of students  in completing the questions of the National Examination selected from 2016-2018 science subjects in physics at Batauga District Junior High School based on the highest scope of the subject matter that is the scope of measurement matter, substances and properties with and average value of 56,9, and the lowest is the scope of the matter waves, electricity and magnetism with and average value of 46,4, and (3) the ability of students to completing selected National Examination questions from 2016-2018 natural science subjects in physics at Batauga District Junior High School based on the highest multiple choice from that is the  multiple choice  associations with an average value of 59,9 and the lowest is the multiple choice image/graph/table with an average value of  50,5.

Abstract

Department of Physics is a department that has a distribution of subjects that require good mathematical skills in order to understand lecture topics. Matriculation is one solution to equip students with basic knowledge of mathematics in the Physics. Matriculation is a learning activity to increase students knowledge before starting an educational program. In this program, research on basic mathematical matriculation has been carried out as an effort to improve the basic mathematics skills of new students of the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UHO Academic Year 2020/2021. The research was conducted due to  many complaints from lecturers regarding the weak basic mathematics skills of students. In this study, the matriculation activity has improved the  students  basic math skills with an effectiveness value is 39%, from 3 people passing the pre test to 12 passing the post test.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in activity and student learning outcomes using inductive thinking learning models on the subject and the concept of heat in class X.3 students. The method used is a qualitative type method applied to Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out collaboratively and participatively. The results of this study indicate an increase in activity and student learning outcomes in class X.3 SMA N 1 Sekampung on the concept of heat through the inductive thinking learning model. Student learning activities in the first cycle with an average score of 16 in the good category and in the second and third cycles each increased to 18 in the good category and 19.5 with the good category. Student learning outcomes in the aspect of concept understanding or test questions and LDS increased in the second cycle, the student's absorption capacity was 83% and the learning completeness was 84% and increased in the third cycle, the student's absorption was 85% and the learning completeness was 90%.

Abstract

In physics learning, the ability to understand concepts is an important indicator, but in fact one of the problems found is that there are still students who experience misconceptions. Misconception refers to a concept that is incompatible with the scientific understanding accepted by experts. This article as a literature review aims to find out the misconceptions experienced by students in some physics material. This research method is a national literature review article for the years 2017-2020 which is in accordance with the researcher's keywords. Based on the results of the literature review, there are still students who experience misconceptions on geometric optical material by 37.62% (intermediate level), thermodynamics at 28.04% (low level), effort and energy by 24% (low level), dynamic fluid by 29 ,21%, Mechanical Waves by 26.9%. Misconceptions cannot be known directly so it is necessary to carry out a diagnostic test that can distinguish students who understand concepts, do not understand concepts and those who do not. There are many ways that can be used to identify misconceptions, one of which is using a four-tier diagnostic test.

Abstract

Modul praktikum momen inersia benda tegar berbantuan video berbasis kode QR telah berhasil dikembangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas pelaksanaan praktikum dan tingkat penerimaan mahasiswa terhadap modul berbantuan video berbasis kode QR. Pengembangan modul ini diharapkan dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam menyiapkan pengetahuan dasar dan gambaran prosedur pelaksanaan praktikum secara lengkap dan sistematis. Metode penelitian ini dimulai dengan proses pembuatan video pengantar yang akan disematkan pada modul dalam bentuk kode QR kemudian modul diuji oleh 30 mahasiswa. Hasilnya kelompok mahasiswa pengampu modul baru ini berhasil menyisakan 20 menit waktu total praktikum yang tersedia. Adapun nilai kesalahan relatif data praktikum yang diperoleh mahasiswa yang menggunakan modul berkode QR ini mencapai sekitar 2% lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa yang menggunakan modul dan prosedur yang lama. Berdasarkan hasil kuisioner umpan balik, lebih dari 80% mahasiswa sangat menerima dan merasakan manfaat yang besar dari pengembangan modul momen inersia baru ini.

Abstract

This study aims: (1) to determine the effect of variations in the concentration of activator H3PO4 on activated carbon of candlenut shell on iodine adsorption (2) to see the effect of variations in the concentration of H3PO4 activator on the candlenut shell activated carbon on the adsorption of methylene blue. Candlenut shell activated carbon is obtained in three stages of preparation, the carbonization stage uses a pyrolysis reactor for ± 8 hours with a temperature of 400 0C, the chemical activation stage uses H3PO4 activator with a concentration variation of 29%, 48%, 67%, 85%. Analysis of iodine adsorption using the titrimetric method, while analysis of the adsorption of methylene blue using the spectrophotometric method. The results of the analysis of candlenut shell activated carbon on the adsorption capacity of iodine and methylene blue for each variation of the concentration of H3PO4 activator, namely 591,16 mg/g, 724 mg/g, 777,14 mg/g, 830,28 mg/g, 757, 21 mg/g and the adsorption of methylene blue was 121,84 mg/g, 169,3 mg/g, 200,95 mg/g, 248,42 mg/g, 185,13 mg/g. The result of the analysis of the adsorption of iodine and methylene blue showed that the higher activator concentration, the higher of adsorption of iodine and methylene blue, until it reached a maximum condition at a concentration of 67%. This value meets the SNI.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi rendahnya hasil pelajar peserta didik pada materi usaha dan pesawat sederhana kelas VIII SMPN 1 Kabawo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dengan model pembelajaran konversional yang digunakan oleh guru IPA di SMPN 1 Kabawo. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII SMPN 1 Kabawo semester genab tahun pelajaran 2019-2020 berjumlah 140 peserta didik. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah teknik random sampling sehingga diperoleh kelas VIII A kelas eksperimen dan VIII B kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data hasil belajar peserta didik menggunakan tes objektif. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif dan inferensial. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan diperoleh gambaran pre test hasil belajar peserta didik kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai rata-rata 34,25 dan 31,7. Gambaran post test hasil belajar peserta didik kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai rata-rata 75,9 dan 69,4. Dari hasil analisis data ada perbedaan antara nilai rata-rata post test hasil belajar peserta didik kelas eksperimen dan nilai rata-rata post test hasil belajar peserta didik kelas kontrol. Ada perbedaan secara signifikan antara nilai rata-rata N-Gain hasil belajar peserta didik kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk:(1) mengetahui tingkat miskonsepsi yang terjadi pada peserta didik  kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 5 Kendari  berdasarkan  sub-konsep  suhu  dan  kalor;  (2) mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang menyebabkan terjadi miskonsepsi peserta didik pada kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 5 Kendari pada materi suhu dan kalor; (3) mengetahui sub konsep apa saja yang mengalami miskonsepsi peserta didik pada materi suhu dan kalor. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 5 Kendari yang terdiri dari 6 kelas paralel dengan jumlah siswa 216 orang.Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah simple random sampling sehingga diperoleh tiga kelas yaitu X IPA 1, X IPA 2 dan X IPA3. Teknikpengambilan data dilakukan dengan melakukan tes, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis tes dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen Tes Diagnostik Empat Tingkat (Diagnostic four tier tets diagnostic). Berdasarkan data hasil analisis dan pembahasan diperoleh dari 108 peserta didik 55,59% mengalami miskonsepsi, 31,48% paham konsep, 7,69% tidak paham konsep dan 5,27% menebak. Pada sub materi suhu dan kalor secara keseluruhan mengalami miskonsepsi dengan rentang  kategori  sedang sampai dengan tinggi. Pada konsep kalor mengalami miskonsepsi sebesar 21,02%; Konsep suhu sebesar 56,7%; kesetimbangan termal (asas black) 56,48%; pengaruh kalor terhadap perubahan suhu benda sebesar  61,34%; pemuaian sebesar 46,30%; pengaruh kalor terhadap perubahan wujud benda sebesar61,42%; dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi laju perpindahan kalor sebesar 56,48%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul perancangan media pembelajaran fisika berbasis channel youtube di masa pandemi covid-19. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini yaitu (a) menghasilkan video pembelajaran powerpoint berbasis youtube pada pembelajaran fisika di masa pandemi covid-19, (b) untuk mengetahui keefektifan hasil perancangan video channel youtube berbantu aplikasi powerpoint dalam penyajian materi pembelajaran fisika di masa pandemi covid-19. Target dari hasil penelitian ini yaitu media pembelajaran fisika berbasis channel youtube di masa pandemi covid-19, guru dapat memanfaatkan media ini dalam melakukan pembelajaran online selama pandemi covid-19, peserta didik dapat mengakses materi pembelajaran dimanapun dan kapanpun. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan Research and Development (R&D) yang terdiri dari 7 tahap yaitu (a) potensi dan masalah, (b) pengumpulan data, (c) desain produk, (d) validasi desain, (e) revisi desain, (f) uji coba produk, dan (g) revisi produk. Kriteria keberhasilan produk meliputi: (a) perancangan media channel youtube dikatakan layak sebagai media pembelajaran di masa pandemi covid-19 apabila 61% ≤ X ≤ 80%, (b) media channel youtube dikatakan efektif bagi peserta didik dan guru apabila 61% ≤ X ≤ 80%.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) menghasilkan e-modul model CinQASE berbantuan flip pdf professional untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas X SMA, (2) mendeskripsikan tingkat kevalidan e-modul  yang telah dikembangkan, (3) mendeskripsikan tingkat kepraktisan e-modul yang telah dikembangkan, dan (4) mendeskripsikan tingkat keefektifan e-modul yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh tuntutan pelayanan guru yang harus kompeten dan inovatif dengan semakin berkembangnya teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam dunia pendidikan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah research and development (R&D) dengan model 4-D (define, design, develop, dan disseminate). Instrumen penelitian di antaranya: soal pretest-posttest, lembar validasi, angket respon guru, dan angket respon peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan diketahui; (1) e-modul model CinQASE berbantuan flip pdf professional dinyatakan valid baik dari segi konstruk maupun segi isi dengan nilai validitas sebesar 0,87 dengan kategori sangat valid, (2) e-modul model CinQASE berbantuan flip pdf professional materi hukum newton tentang gravitasi dinyatakan efektif berdasarkan hasil pretest dan posttest dengan nilai n-gain sebesar 0,55 berkategori sedang, (3) e-modul model CinQASE berbantuan flip pdf professional materi hukum newton tentang gravitasi dinyatakan praktis berdasarkan hasil tanggapan peserta didik dengan skor sebesar 90,98% dengan kategori sangat baik serta hasil tanggapan guru dengan rata-rata perolehan skor 4,63 sehingga dikategorikan sangat baik.
