Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Fisika is a Scientific Journal published by the Jurusan Pendidikan Fisika of the Teaching and Education Faculty of Halu Oleo University with a period of 4 (four) times a year, namely the January, April, July and November periods. Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Fisika publishes research articles in the field of Physics Education which include Physics Learning Models or Methods, Physics Learning Strategies, Physics Learning Media, ICT in Physics Learning, Physics Literacy Learning, Higher Order Thinking Skill Physics, Physics Learning Materials, with various types of research methods and applied physics. Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Fisika has been published through print media since 2016 with Volume 1, Number 1 in January 2016, and the initial electronic publication for the Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Fisika starting from Volume 5, Number 1 in January 2020. Purpose the existence of this journal is for the publication and dissemination of research results in the field of Physics education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the student's ability to interpret graphics on motion kinematics material. The research was conducted in four private schools, namely the Thamavitya School in Yala Province, the Romanian School in Naratiwatn Province, the Azizstan Foundation School in Pattani Province, and the Seangtam Wittaya Foundation School in Senggora Province. Research respondents were class X IPA students in the even semester of 2019/2020 with a total of 160 people. The research instrument was a test in the form of multiple choice questions along with 10 points of reasons. The results showed that in general the students' ability to interpret graphics on the motion kinematics material was categorized less. In detail, the results show that the ability to determine the meaning of gradients on categorized graphs is very lacking, the ability to determine data from a range of categorized variables is sufficient, the ability to determine data on independent and dependent variables on categorized graphs is lacking, the ability to determine relationships between variables on categorized graphs is lacking.

Abstract

This research go to analyze the initial needs of teachers and students for the development of learning media in the form of STEM-based student worksheet applications in circular motion. Data obtained through observation, interviews and student learning style questionnaires given to teachers and students of SMA N 1 Muaro Jambi. Teachers need an attractive and interactive learning media that can attract students' interest, while students need learning media that combines all aspects of visual, audiotorial and kinesthetic learning styles where it is obtained from a questionnaire th at students have visual, kinesthetic and audiotorial learning styles with a percentage of 58, 3%, 58.3% and 52.8%. So that researchers will develop student worksheets in the form of android based on the results of the learning style analysis. Products produced are in the form of android and based on STEM.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran melalui strategi pembelajaran PDEODE kombinasi STAD untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif dan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas X pada materi pokok getaran harmonis yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari lembar pengamatan, angket dan tes dengan subjek dalam  penelitian  ini  yaitu 12 orang peserta  didik  kelas  X MIPA 6 SMA Negeri 5 Kendari. Validitas RPP, LKPD, bahan ajar dan Instrumen tes yang dikembangkan dilihat dari penilaian oleh tiga orang validator ahli pendidikan dengan menggunakan lembar validasi yang berisi aspek-aspek penilaian. Kemudian untuk kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran dilihat dari keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dan aktivitas peserta didik yang dinilai oleh dua orang pengamat selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung menggunakan lembar pengamatan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar pengamatan aktivitas peserta didik, angket respon peserta didik dan angket respon guru. Selanjutnya, keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran dilihat dari tes hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik, dan tes keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan diperoleh bahwa perangkat pembelajaran melalui strategi pembelajaran PDEODE kombinasi STAD untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif dan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang dikembangkan memiliki kategori valid, praktis dan efektif sehingga layak digunakan pada materi pokok getaran harmonis kelas X.

Abstract

Dari studi literatur diketahui bahwa masih terdapat siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi pada materi listrik statis. Oleh karena itu dilakukan observasi mengenai miskonsepsi siswa SMAN 9 Kota Jambi untuk mengetahui pemahaman konsep siswa dalam mempelajari materi listrik statis dan bagaimana guru melakukan identifikasi untuk melihat miskonsepsi siswa. Metode yang digunakan yaitu wawancara bebas terpemimpin kepada guru fisika dan tiga siswa kelas XII IPA. Wawancara yang dilakukan terkait mengenai ruang lingkup pembelajaran fisika dan miskonsepsi siswa pada pembelajaran fisika. Hasil wawancara yang telah dilakukan diketahui bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep fisika salah satunya materi listrik statis. Guru belum pernah memberikan tes diagnostik kepada siswa untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi siswa dikarenakan belum tersedianya instrumen tes diagnostik untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi siswa di SMAN 9 Kota Jambi dan juga guru belum pernah mengengembangan instrumen tes diagnostik miskonsepsi. Sehingga diperlukannya instrument tes diagnostik miskonsepsi untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pemahaman konsep yang dimiliki oleh siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of variations in binder on the heating value and burning time charcoal briquettes used tire. Charcoal briquettes were obtained in several steps, namely carbonization at a temperature of  350˚ for ±5 hours. Then grinding and sifting the charcoal with a size of 80 mesh. Mixing charcoal, binder and water,  this binder types used were starch, wheat flour and sago, and the percentage of binder material was 10% from total weight of charcoal powder. Mintage and pressing briquettes with a pressure of 100 kg/cm2. Drying under sunlight  for three days.  Briquettes  with starch binder  obtained Calorie Value 5181 cal/g. Calorie Value of the wheat flour binder is 4837cal/g and briquettes with sago binder obtained a Calorie Value of 3927cal/g. But the value of wheat flour and sago does not meet to Indonesia standard (Standar Nasional Indonesia/SNI) is 5000 cal/g. Result of the burning time test showed that the briquette burning time was 121 minutes on starch binder, 143 minutes of wheat flour and 148 minutes of sago.

Abstract

3D PageFlip development is widely used in education and produces a medium that can increase student interest and motivation. Even so, the use of 3D PageFlip is still relatively rare in learning. Lack of socialization on the use of software is said to be the main reason for the lack of use of 3D PageFlip software. Based on this, it is necessary to write about using 3D PageFlip to produce 3D FlipBook as a learning medium. This paper will explain how to make learning media based on 3D Physics PageFlip for Rotation Dynamics material by using model POE2WE.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the understanding of the concept of dynamic fluid material in physics subjects, the ability to compile a simple business plan through the project-based learning method, and to find out the learning interests of class XI IPS 1 students with a special interest in Physics at SMA Lab School Unesa 2020/2021 academic year. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. Data collection was carried out by means of test methods, simple business plan assignments, and questionnaires to students. Students are given tests by working on questions and assigning a simple business plan as a simple project. To find out students' interest in learning, a questionnaire was filled out via google form and interviews. The results showed that: (1) The level of conceptual understanding of the dynamic fluid material of the students reached 2.14 indicating the medium category (2) the ability level of students to make simple business plans reached 3 indicating the category began to develop and (3) the level of student interest in learning reached 75,19 indicates good category. So the application of entrepreneurship-based physics learning using the project-based learning method is quite good for IPS students in order to foster understanding of the concept of dynamic fluid material, making simple business plans, and interest in learning physics.

Abstract

Problem-based learning is an alternative model offered in the K-13 curriculum. Therefore we need an instrument that supports and integrated with the problem-based learning model. This research aims to make a physics learning instrument based on problem-based learning to improve physics learning outcomes. This type of research classified as R & D (Research and Development) with a development design using 4-D (Four-D), which consists of defining, designing, developing, & disseminating. The material developed was static electricity; the research subjects consisted of class XII IPA1 SMA Negeri 1 Piyungan. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire and learning outcome test questions with a field trial design using a pretest-posttest control group design. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique obtained from the assessment results of each validator based on the Aikent Value formula. The analysis results show that the physics learning instrument based on problem-based learning has met the requirements in the very good category. In learning outcomes, using physics learning instruments based on problem-based learning can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the ability of teachers in managing learning activities, to describe the completeness of indicators of student learning outcomes, to describe the completeness of student learning outcomes, to describe the responses of students to the learning process, to describe the cooperative skills of students by applying the cooperative learning model type Numbered Heads Together. This type of research is descriptive with research subjects are teachers and students of class VII SMPK St. Kupang Familia, amounting to 25 people. The research data collection techniques were observation, tests, and questionnaires. While the instrument used was the learning management observation sheet which included planning assessment sheets, implementation observation sheets, and learning evaluation assessment sheets, student cooperative skills observation sheets, learning outcomes test, and student response questionnaires. The data analysis technique of this research is descriptive analysis. The results of the descriptive analysis show that the application of the Numbered Heads Together cooperative learning model is the subject matter of the heat for class VII SMPK St. Familia Kupang in the odd semester of the 2017/2018 school year is optimal.

Abstract

Physics is very closely related to finding out and understanding nature systematically, so that physics is not only the mastery of a collection of knowledge in the form of concepts but also a performance process. The purpose of this study was to describe the profile of student’s performance assessment abilities using the virtual PhET application. Previously carried out the development of performance assessment instruments and student worksheets using the 4-D model, namely the stages of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. However, this research was only carried out until the develop stage. The research instrument was the validation instrument for student worksheets and the validation instrument for performance assessment. Research data includes data on the validity of student worksheet, validity of performance assessment instruments, and data on student performance abilities. The subjects of this study were 36 students of class XI MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 3 Sidoarjo. The validators of this study were two lecturers at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UNESA. Based on the research results obtained: 1) Student worksheets developed has a validity value of 89.79% with very valid criteria and the performance assessment instrument sheet developed has a validity value of 95.00% with very valid criteria 2) The performance profile of students in formulating problems, formulating hypotheses, identifying variables, designing experimental procedures, collecting data, analyzing data, and drawing conclusions stated to be very good with a value of 97.31% for the reflection experiment and 95.57% for the refraction experiment.
