Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of competence and motivation on employee job satisfaction in a public sector setting, specifically at the Pangalengan District Office, Bandung Regency. Using a quantitative approach with saturated sampling, data were collected from 40 civil servants through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that work motivation has a significant and positive effect on job satisfaction, while competence shows no significant partial impact. The regression model is statistically significant, with competence and motivation together explaining 54.6% of the variation in job satisfaction. These results highlight the strategic role of motivation particularly intrinsic factors such as achievement, recognition, and affiliation in enhancing employee satisfaction. Meanwhile, the non-significant influence of competence suggests potential gaps in placement or skills alignment among personnel. The study underscores the importance of motivation-driven human resource strategies to improve satisfaction and performance in public organizations.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of competence and work motivation on organizational commitment among civil servants in the Cimaung District Office, Bandung Regency. Using a quantitative approach with descriptive and verification methods, the research involved a saturated sample of 42 respondents. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that competence has a significant and positive effect on organizational commitment, while work motivation does not show a statistically significant effect when tested independently. Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence commitment, with an R² value of 0.698 indicating that 69.8% of the variation in organizational commitment can be explained by competence and motivation. These results underscore the importance of aligning employee skills and capabilities with job requirements and suggest that competency development should be prioritized in human resource strategies for public institutions. Further research is recommended to explore additional factors such as leadership style and organizational climate.

Abstract

The research aims to investigate the impact of regional compensation, equalization funds, and capital investment on local financial autonomy across 13 regencies in West Java Province from 2019 to 2023. Regional financial independence is a vital metric used to assess a region's capacity to finance its governance without relying heavily on central government assistance. The study adopts a quantitative method with both descriptive and verification approaches. Purposive sampling technique was used, selecting 13 out of 27 available regencies and cities. Classical assumption tests, including a normality assessment using the Kolmogorov–Smirnov technique, yielded a significant result (Sig.=.055). The outcome of the simultaneous significance test (F-test) indicates that, simultaneously, regional retribution, balancing funds, and capital expenditure significantly affect regional financial independence (Sig.=.011). However, the t-test findings show that only balancing funds and capital expenditure have a significant individual effect, while regional retribution does not. The adjusted coefficient of determination (Adjusted R² = .047) suggests that the selected independent factors in the regression model account for only 4.7% of the variation in regional financial independence, with the remaining variation explained by other external factors. These findings suggest that local governments should prioritize the effective management of equalization funds and capital expenditures to promote sustainable regional financial independence

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of profitability, solvency, and company size on audit delay in pharmaceutical companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2017–2024 period. This study employs a quantitative approach, utilizing secondary data obtained from the annual financial reports of six pharmaceutical companies. The analytical method used is panel data regression with the Fixed Effects Model (FEM) approach, following a series of model selection tests, including the Chow, Hausman, and Lagrange Multiplier tests. The results indicate that profitability, as measured by Return on Assets (ROA), has a negative and statistically significant effect on audit delay. Solvency, proxied by the Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER), has a positive and significant impact on audit delay. Meanwhile, company size, proxied by the natural logarithm of total assets, has no significant effect on audit delay. The adjusted R-squared value of 0.592 indicates that the three independent variables explain 59.2% of the variation in audit delay. These findings have implications for company management, auditors, and regulators in improving the timeliness of financial reporting and maintaining transparency in the capital market.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze digital marketing strategies grounded in green branding to strengthen the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and support sustainable economic development in Pangkalpinang City. In the face of the challenges of the digital era and increasing environmental sustainability demands, MSMEs are required to adopt marketing approaches that are not only commercially effective but also environmentally sustainable. This research employs a qualitative approach, using data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis, with several MSME actors who have implemented green branding principles in their digital marketing activities. The findings reveal that the implementation of green branding-based digital marketing strategies can enhance brand image, increase customer loyalty, and open access to new market segments that are concerned with environmental issues. However, challenges remain, including limited digital literacy, high costs of technology adoption, and limited understanding of sustainability concepts. Therefore, sustained support from local governments, training institutions, and other stakeholders is needed to drive the transformation of MSME marketing toward a greener, more sustainable direction

Abstract

Tempe Kita Bandung, which has been operating since 1988, faces challenges of fluctuating revenue and intense price competition, as well as limited distribution that is still focused on traditional markets, making it difficult to reach a wider and more modern market segment. This study aims to analyze internal and external factors, determine the strategic position of the business, and formulate the most effective marketing strategy through a SWOT Analysis approach and an Internal-External (IE) Matrix. This descriptive study uses a mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative). Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews with the owner or manager and questionnaires to key informants, while secondary data were obtained from internal company documents. The data analysis techniques used were the IFAS and EFAS Matrices to obtain weighted scores, which were then plotted on the IE Matrix to determine strategic position, and further processed through the SWOT Matrix to generate alternative strategies. The expected analysis results indicate that Tempe Kita Bandung has strengths in product experience and quality, but is weak in digital marketing adaptation. The strategic position of the business is estimated to be in the quadrant that requires a Hold and Maintain strategy. Therefore, the recommended marketing strategies are Weakness-Opportunity (WO) and Strength-Threat (ST) strategies, which are implemented through digital market penetration to address distribution weaknesses and premium product differentiation to counter the threat of low-price competition. This strategy is expected to increase business competitiveness and expand market reach.

Abstract

This research looks at how financial performance ratios affect ROA in metal mining companies listed on the IDX between 2019 and 2024. The study employs a quantitative approach, using descriptive and verificatory methods and secondary data from annual financial reports. A purposive sampling approach was used to select six companies, yielding 30 observations. The data was analyzed using multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, descriptive statistics, and traditional assumption tests. The findings show that ROA is strongly and adversely impacted by the DER, indicating that higher leverage reduces profitability. Conversely, the CR and TATO have a positive and significant influence on ROA. ROA is significantly affected by all independent components, underscoring the importance of capital structure, efficiency, and liquidity in decision-making.

Abstract

The transformation of digital-based public services requires service providers to not only provide applications but also ensure the quality of the service experience perceived by users. In this context, this study aims to examine the role of perceived service quality and promotion in shaping customer satisfaction with the PLN Mobile application as a form of digital public service in the energy sector. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. Data were obtained through a survey of 100 PLN Mobile application users selected based on certain criteria, namely having used the application and utilizing the available service features. The research instrument was compiled in the form of a structured questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression after the data were declared to meet the criteria for validity, reliability, and classical assumptions required in regression analysis. The results show that perceived service quality has a positive and significant influence on customer satisfaction. This finding indicates that the quality of the application user experience, such as system stability, ease of access, and service responsiveness, is a major factor in shaping user satisfaction evaluations. In addition, promotion also has a positive and significant influence on customer satisfaction, although its contribution is relatively smaller compared to perceived service quality. Simultaneous testing shows that both variables together play a role in explaining variations in customer satisfaction with the PLN Mobile application. These findings confirm that the development of digital public services needs to place service quality as a top priority, with promotion as a supporting instrument that strengthens user understanding and expectations of the services provided.
