Abstract

This study explores how digital media based storytelling can enhance the global visibility and cultural relevance of Museum Keris Nusantara Surakarta. As one of Indonesia’s most prominent heritage institutions dedicated to the art and philosophy of the keris, the museum holds extensive collections that reflect the artistic, historical, and symbolic values of Javanese weaponry and craftsmanship. However, in an increasingly digital society, traditional promotional methods are no longer sufficient to attract international audiences. This research investigates how the integration of digital storytelling, including social media narratives, virtual exhibitions, short-form videos, and interactive online content, can strengthen the museum’s branding and engagement beyond national boundaries. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the study analyzes digital media strategies adopted by leading cultural institutions and evaluates their applicability to Museum Keris Surakarta. Data were collected through interviews, documentation, and observational assessments of existing digital content. The findings indicate that compelling storytelling embedded within digital formats such as narrative-driven visuals, behind-the-scenes forging processes, empu (master smith) personal stories, and thematic interpretations of keris symbolism significantly increases user engagement and cross-cultural appreciation. Moreover, platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok are identified as highly effective for reaching younger global audiences, while web-based virtual tours offer immersive experiences for international visitors unable to visit physically. The study concludes that digital storytelling is not merely a promotional tool but a strategic instrument for cultural diplomacy. By presenting keris narratives in accessible and emotionally resonant formats, Museum Keris Nusantara Surakarta can cultivate greater global recognition, support heritage preservation, and strengthen its position within the international cultural landscape. The findings highlight the need for museums to adopt innovative digital practices to remain relevant and competitive in the era of global digital communication. Keywords: digital storytelling, museum keris Surakarta, cultural heritage, virtual exhibition, global audience engagement

Abstract

Blurring boundaries between work and personal life have become a defining feature of contemporary work systems, intensifying through digital connectivity, flexible working arrangements, and the expansion of remote and hybrid work structures. This review synthesizes theoretical perspectives and empirical evidence to examine how blurring boundaries conceptualized as work-life integration shape employee productivity, life satisfaction, and organizational commitment. Drawing on boundary theory, role integration frameworks, and modern research on digital labor, the findings demonstrate that work-life integration can enhance productivity by increasing autonomy, flexibility, and reducing transition costs. However, boundary permeability may also induce technostress, work intrusion and role overload, undermining wellbeing and performance. Life satifaction improves when integration is voluntary and aligned with personal preferences but decreases when constant connectivity disrupts recovery time or intensifies conflict between roles. Organizational commitment strengthens when integration practices are perceived as supportive and empowering but weakens when blurring boundaries are associated with surveillance or exploitation. This review clarifies conceptual ambiguities, identifies moderating conditions underlying positive and negative effect, and provides directions for future research on adaptive boundary management in digital driven work environments.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the most important factor affecting the revenue of shellfish fishermen in Tanjung Balai City, North Sumatra.The study uses a survey method with 60 respondents and a quantitative approach. Primary data were collected through questionnaires and interviews, while secondary data were obtained from relevant institutions and literature. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression. The results show that partially, capital, fishing duration, and selling price of shellfish have a positive and significant effect on fishermen's income, while fishing experience has no significant effect. Simultaneously, all independent variables significantly influence fishermen’s income, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.68, indicating that 68% of income variation can be explained by the model. The most dominant factor affecting income is the selling price of shellfish, which is highly influenced by market conditions and seasonal changes. The average monthly income of shellfish fishermen is IDR 3,500,000, indicating relatively low, fluctuating income levels. This condition is influenced by limited capital, dependence on weather conditions, and unstable market prices. Therefore, policy support such as access to capital, price stabilization, and improvement in technology and fishermen capacity is needed to enhance the welfare of coastal communitie

Abstract

Glad 2 Glow has entered the attention space of Indonesian skincare consumers through short video content, accessible pricing, and a light brand personality that is familiar to young social media users. This study examines how content marketing and brand awareness are associated with consumers' purchase interest in Glad 2 Glow products. A quantitative survey was conducted with 96 respondents who had encountered Glad 2 Glow content on social media. The data were assessed using item validity, reliability, descriptive statistics, classical assumption checks, multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing. The findings show that content marketing encourages purchase interest by clarifying product benefits, reducing uncertainty, and helping consumers compare skincare alternatives before buying. Brand awareness also strengthens purchase interest because a recognizable name, visual identity, and repeated exposure make the brand easier to recall in a crowded skincare category. Simultaneously, both variables account for 39.6% of the variation in purchase interest. The study indicates that Glad 2 Glow needs to balance viral content with credible product education, consistent visual identity, and communication that converts audience attention into purchase consideration

Abstract

This study examines the effects of product and service quality on customer satisfaction at PT Nusa Kharisma Raya, a medical device distributor serving institutional customers, including hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and pharmacies. A quantitative approach with a causal-associative design was employed. The study involved 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling based on their experience in purchasing, receiving, using, or evaluating the company’s medical device products. Data were collected using a 35-item questionnaire, measured on a five-point Likert scale. Product quality was measured through performance, features, reliability, durability, conformance, aesthetics, and perceived quality, while service quality was assessed through tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, validity and reliability testing, classical assumption testing, and multiple linear regression analysis. Service quality also has a positive and significant effect and shows a stronger contribution than product quality. Simultaneously, product quality and service quality significantly affect customer satisfaction and explain 57.4% of its variance. These findings confirm that customer satisfaction in medical device distribution depends not only on product conformity, reliability, and quality consistency, but also on delivery accuracy, employee responsiveness, communication, and complaint handling. The company should therefore integrate product quality control with contin

Abstract

Business Process Reengineering (BPR) represents a radical and fundamental strategy for improving organizational performance in healthcare settings, yet its implementation dynamics in Indonesian public hospitals remain insufficiently understood. This study employs a qualitative multiple case study design to explore how BPR is implemented across three Type B public hospitals in Indonesia, referred to pseudonymously as RS Alpha, RS Beta, and RS Gamma. Data were collected through 27 in-depth interviews with hospital directors, clinical department heads, administrative managers, and frontline healthcare staff, supplemented by document analysis and non-participant observation conducted over a six-month period. Thematic analysis following Braun and Clarke (2006) revealed four overarching themes: (1) enabling conditions for BPR adoption, (2) process redesign and IT integration challenges, (3) human resource dimensions of BPR implementation, and (4) organizational outcomes and sustainability of reengineered processes. Findings indicate that leadership commitment and change management capacity are pivotal determinants of BPR success, while resistance from clinical staff, inadequate IT infrastructure, and bureaucratic rigidity constitute the primary barriers. Cross-case comparison reveals that hospitals with stronger human resource development programs achieved more sustainable process improvements. The study contributes an empirically grounded, context-sensitive understanding of BPR in Indonesia's public health sector, with implications for hospital management and health system reform policy

Abstract

This study is designed to empirically examine how financial literacy, hedonistic behavioral tendencies, and formal educational background contribute to the quality of personal financial management, particularly among textile industry workers in Bandung City. The research adopts a quantitative-descriptive design using a questionnaire-based survey instrument distributed to 150 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Measurement instruments were constructed using a Likert scale (1-5) format and analyzed via multiple linear regression. Core findings reveal that: (1) financial literacy competency exerts a positive and statistically significant impact on personal financial management (β = 0.412; p < 0.01); (2) hedonistic lifestyle orientation significantly diminishes financial management capacity (β = −0.284; p < 0.01); (3) formal education level makes a positive and significant contribution (β = 0.198; p < 0.01); and (4) all three predictor variables jointly account for 53.4% of the variance in personal financial management (R² = 0.534). The implications of this study underscore the critical importance of strengthening systematic, industry context-based financial education programs.

Abstract

The decision to purchase skincare through a marketplace is formed in situations where consumers have extensive access to information but cannot inspect the product in person. This study examines the role of brand image, promotion, and online customer ratings in explaining the purchase of Avoskin products through Shopee. Data were obtained from 100 consumers residing in Bandung City, who had purchased Avoskin through Shopee, and were selected based on research criteria. Respondents' responses were collected using a five-level questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression after examining the instrument's quality and model requirements. The findings indicate that brand perception and online customer ratings are positively related to purchase decisions. In contrast, promotion did not demonstrate a convincing partial contribution when the other two variables were analyzed in the same model. Among the tested predictors, online customer ratings produced the largest standardized coefficient. The three variables collectively explained 38.9% of the variation in purchase decisions. These results indicate that in online skincare transactions, consumers rely more on brand reputation and previous user experience than on promotions readily available in various stores. For Avoskin, strengthening consumer decisions needs to be done through quality consistency, post-purchase experience management, handling negative evaluations, and promotional programs tailored to skin needs and product understanding.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of healthcare workers' communication strategies on improving the quality of informed consent among patients from seven indigenous tribes at Mitra Masyarakat Hospital, Timika, Central Papua. Cultural diversity, language differences, and communal decision-making practices create communication challenges that may reduce patients' understanding of medical information. A mixed-methods approach with an explanatory sequential design was employed. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires from patients and analyzed using multiple linear regression, while qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews with healthcare workers to explain the quantitative findings. The study examined effective healthcare communication, intercultural communication training and medical interpreter support, integrated communication strategies through electronic medical records, and the quality of informed consent. The findings indicate that all independent variables positively and significantly influenced the quality of informed consent, with integrated communication through electronic medical records demonstrating the strongest effect. Qualitative findings revealed that language barriers, cultural diversity, and limited health literacy remained the main challenges in implementing informed consent. These findings imply that improving informed consent quality requires strengthening healthcare workers' communication competence, expanding intercultural communication training, providing interpreter support, and optimizing electronic medical record systems to support patient-centered healthcare in multicultural settings.
