Motivasi: Jurnal Manajemen dan Bisnis is journal that publishes scientific articles in the fields of management and business sciences covering the fields of financial management, human resource management, marketing management, operational management and management information systems that are managed and published by the Management Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business of Muhammadiyah University of Palembang. Articles published in the Motivasi: Jurnal Manajemen dan Bisnis include original scientific research results and new scientific review articles from various academics and researchers that have not been published elsewhere. The publishing period is twice a year, namely in June and November.

Purpose– The objective of this research is to evaluate how profitability influences financial decision components affecting company value which can be used as reference material for further academics. This research also aims to provide knowledge and insight to food and beverage companies regarding the level of profitability that can strengthen or weaken the relationship between dividend policy and capital structure on company value. Design/methodology– Research was conducted on food and beverage companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2020-2022 period. The type of research carried out is associative. The data used in this research is secondary data obtained from the official BEI website (www.Iidx.co.id). The method used is documentation. The sample was obtained using the purposive sampling method so that a sample of 22 companies was obtained so that observations were made at 66 food and beverage companies. The data analysis used is quantitative analysis. The analysis technique uses multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the SPSS version 26 application. Findings - Based on the data processing carried out, it was found that dividend policy had a negative effect on company value, while capital structure had a positive effect on capital structure. Profitability is concluded to be able to act as a moderating variable on the influence of dividend policy and capital structure on dividend policy.

Purpose– This research aims to determine and analyze the influence of celebrity endorsers and social media marketing on purchasing decisions for Azarine skincare with purchase interest as an intervening variable. Design/methodology– The method used in this research is using a type of approach quantitative descriptive. The population in this study were students from the Management Study Program Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatra Utara totaling 431 people, while the sampling method using the Slovin formula, so that a sample of 100 is obtained person. Data collection methods using questionnaires and documentation studies Meanwhile, the data analysis technique uses the Path Analysis Model Statistics namely Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Model (PLSSEM) using the SmartPLS 3 application. Findings - The research results show that celebrity endorsers and social media marketing Instagram have a significant effect on purchasing interest. Instagram social media marketing has a significant influence on purchasing decisions, but celebrity endorsers have no influence on purchasing decisions. Furthermore, buying interest has no influence on purchasing decisions, thus meaning that buying interest is not able to act as a mediator

Purpose –The aim of the research is to determine the influence of competence and work motivation on the performance of PT employees. Blue Bird Tbk. (Pool Narogong) Bekasi City both simultaneously and partially. Design/methodology –This type of research used is associative research. The sample used in this study was 67 respondents from a total population of 200 permanent employees. The sampling technique used was the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. The data collection method used is through questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis used in this research is quantitative and qualitative data analysis, using a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used in this study is using multiple linear regression analysis, F test (simultaneous), t test (partial) and the coefficient of determination. Findings - The results of the research based on multiple linear regression show that competence and work motivation have a positive effect on the performance of employees at PT. Blue Bird Tbk. (Pool Narogong) Bekasi City. The results of the F hypothesis test show that there is a significant effect of competence and work motivation on the performance of employees of PT. Blue Bird Tbk. (Pool Narogong) Bekasi City. The results of the t hypothesis test show that there is a partial effect of competence and work motivation on the performance of employees of PT. Blue Bird Tbk. (Pool Narogong) Bekasi City. The results of the coefficient of determination show that the variables of competence and work motivation can contribute to the ups and downs of performance by 69.3%, while the rest are influenced by other variables not included in this study.

Purpose- This research explores the readiness and innovation of human resources in the implementation of the Freedom to Learn (Merdeka Belajar) initiative at SMA Plus Al Ghifari. The study aims to answer three main questions is what readiness is needed by students and educators in adapting to the flexible curriculum and technological advancements? what are the inhibiting factors affecting the readiness and innovation of human resources in implementing Freedom to Learn? and what efforts can be made to overcome these inhibiting factors? Design/methodology- The research employs a mixed-methods quallitatif interviews, and document analysis. The research involved three main participant groups, namely Principals, Teachers, as well as secondary data obtained from employees in technical and operational technical and administrative units. Finding- The findings in this reaseacrch is the priority is the development of teachers' skills in designing competency-based learning and supporting innovation. Hindering factors such as inadequate infrastructure and technology, resistance to change, and the inability to adapt to the new curriculum need to be overcome. Steps such as investing in improving infrastructure, training and skill development, as well as increasing awareness and motivation, need to be implemented immediately through internal socialization and campaigns

Purpose – This study aims to determine the effect of Inflation, Interes Rates and Exchange Rates on Stock Prices with Economic Growth as an intervening variable in healthcare sector companies on the indonesian stock exchange. Design/methodology – This research is a quantitative approach, there is data calculation in the form of numbers. The research population used 25 healthcare companies listed on the IDX for the 2014-2021 period. Using purposive sampling techniques, 11 sample companies were obtained during the 2014-2021 period. Technique data analysis used is Structural Modeling Equation (SEM) with Program IBM SPSS AMOS 24. Findings - The result show that Inflation affected Economic Growt, Interest Rate did not affect Economic Growth, Exchange affected Economic Growth, Inflation affected The Stock Price, Interest Rates did not affect The Stock Price, Exchange Rates affected The Stock Price, Economic Growth did not affect The Stock Price, Economic Growth strengthens the influence of Inflation on The Stock Price, Economic Growth strengthens the influence of Interest Rate on The Stock Price, Economic Growth strengthens the influence of Exchange Rate on The Stock Price.

Purpose– The objective of this research is to examine how green marketing influences the brand perception of Hapihome, a locally produced item specializing in Air Purifying Bags composed entirely of Activated Bamboo Charcoal. These bags have the capability to effectively absorb odors, moisture, and bacteria from the surrounding air. Design/methodology– Utilizing a purposeful sampling approach, the study involved 100 participants and employed Google Forms questionnaires as a data collection method. The analysis of green marketing focused on four key elements: green products, green pricing, green distribution channels, and green promotion. Descriptive analysis, employing frequency tables, was utilized to scrutinize respondent characteristics, while quantitative analysis was conducted using StatisticaI Product and Service SoIutions (SPSS). Findings- The green marketing variables examined in the study exert a notable impact on the brand perception of Hapihome. Green product has the highest influence on the brand image of Hapihome. Consumers tend to choose Hapihome products because they have a brand image associated with environmentally responsible business concepts. The consistency between the promotion carried out and the actual business practices is crucial, as inconsistency can damage the brand image and consumer trust.

Purpose– This study examines the mediating role of workplace spirituality in the spiritual leadership influences on organizational commitment. Design/methodology– The research was carried out with a sample of 116 private employees in Indonesia and managed the survey method for the data collection technique, which employs questionnaires as the self-reported instrument. PLS uses statistical data analysis tools. Findings - The research findings indicate that spiritual leadership and workplace spirituality have a positive impact on organizational commitment. Furthermore, the results also reveal that workplace spirituality acts as a mediator in the influence of spiritual leadership on organizational commitment.

Purpose –This research aims to determine the problems still faced by the creative industry in Palembang City. To find out and formulate policies, strategies, programs and activities that must be carried out in the development of creative industries in Palembang City. To find out the efforts that must be made to encourage an increase in the income of creative industry players in Palembang City. Design/methodology –The area of this study is Palembang City. Types of data are secondary data and primary data, primary data obtained through interviews, secondary data, in the form of data and/or information obtained from documentation. The analysis technique uses SWOT analysis. Findings - The creative industry in the City of Palembang has contributed to the progress and development of the economy in the City of Palembang in particular and in South Sumatra in general, creative industry businesses in the City of Palembang are still possible to develop, so that they still provide promising business opportunities in the future, business The creative industry in Palembang City is still faced with HR, marketing, management and capital problems. Creative industry businesses in Palembang City have absorbed a lot of labor, so that the creative industry in Palembang City has contributed to overcoming the unemployment problem.

Purpose –This research aims to determine the influence of work discipline, work motivation and work environment together and individually on the performance of J&T Express employees, Gelumbang District, Muara Enim Regency. Design/methodology –This type of research is associative, using a saturated sample of 50 J&T Express employees, Gelumbang District, Muara Enim Regency. Data collection uses a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression and coefficient of determination. Findings - The research results show that work discipline, work motivation and work environment significantly influence employee performance. Partially, work discipline has a significant effect on employee performance, work motivation has a significant effect on employee performance, and the work environment has a significant effect on the performance of J&T Express employees, Gelumbang District, Muara Enim Regency.

Purpose– This research aims to determine the influence of Product, Price and Promotion simultaneously and partially on the Purchase Decision of Make Over Pressed Powder among Female Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Muhammadiyah University of Palembang.Design/methodology– The sample used was 100 respondents. The sampling technique uses non-probability sampling using purposive sampling. The type of research used is associative. The data used are primary and secondary data. The data collection technique is a questionnaire. The data analysis used is quantitative qualitative analysis. The analysis techniques used are validity test, multiple linear regression, F test, t test and coefficient of determination. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that Product, Price and Promotion have a positive influence on purchasing decisions for Make Over Pressed Powder among female students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Muhammadiyah University, Palembang.Findings - The results of simultaneous hypothesis testing (F) show that there is a positive and significant influence of Product, Price and Promotion simultaneously on purchasing decisions. The results of the t test hypothesis show that Product, Price and Promotion have a partially positive and significant effect on Purchasing Decisions. The coefficient of determination value shows that the Product, Price and Promotion variables influence the ups and downs of Purchasing Decisions, with a change of 54.1%.
