Abstract

Pakel Village has many MSMEs, therefore, entrepreneurship socialization and creativity competitions were held to instill an entrepreneurial spirit in children in Pakel Village. On Saturday, May 27, 2023, the committee started the activity with entrepreneurship socialization which was presented using a laptop and PowerPoint slides which were displayed using a projector. The committee also used questions and answers to provide opportunities to ask questions to participants, gave questions with prizes to participants, and held an ice-breaking session in the middle of the event to make the atmosphere not tense. Next, the competition was held and participants had 90 minutes to make crafts, and continued at home until May 30, 2023. On Tuesday, May 30, 2023, participants gathered at the village hall to present their work. The jury gave a curation consisting of selling value, ideas, language style and facial expressions, as well as the beauty and neatness of the decoration. The prizes given were goodie bags, pins, trophies, medals, and competition certificates. The results of the activity provided an entrepreneurial spirit and insight related to entrepreneurship for SD/MI children in Pakel Village. This activity is expected to provide a bright future for SD/MI children in Pakel Village.

Abstract

Training and mentoring of village treasurer to proficient in taxes is carried out with the aim to increase knowledge of villages officials, especially for villages heads, village treasurer, village supervisor as well as businessmen and local communities on tax regulations and tax reporting procedures. So, implementation of this activity is expected so that village can optimize managing of village tax revenue, ensure compliance with tax regulations, as well as support the development and overall welfare of the village. In this soscialization activity, explained about some knowledge and tax regulations as well as providing interactive and practical sessions to the participants.  Furthermore, provide assistance on how to fill out tax reporting forms in accordance with tax provisions that apply to tax payers in Lape district, Sumbawa regency.

Abstract

Forage is the main food source needed by ruminants to survive, breed and produce. One type of superior grass that is often given to ruminants is dwarf elephant grass, because it has a high nutritional content and is palatable. The availability of quality and sustainable feed is one of the determining factors for the success of the livestock business. To increase the production of fodder forage, it is necessary to manage the cultivation of fodder forage, and the agricultural land used. The purpose of the Community Service activities (PKM) is to provide introduction, training and assistance to farmers or breeders, as well as education regarding quality feed processing management in terms of nutrition and quantity that can meet the basic livelihood needs, and livestock production and can be used for a long period of time. The results of community service activities need to be evaluated in fostering farmers to be more productive. The suggestions that can be given in the implementation of this community service program are that there needs to be a follow-up to the community service with improved facilities that are more supportive and a greater variety of feed plants, but must be accompanied by the provision of land for increasingly widespread feed quality in terms of nutrition and quantity.

Abstract

Cianjur Regency was hit by an earthquake with a magnitude (M) of 5.6 which caused casualties and damage to public facilities and residences. Temporary shelter is the government's response in disaster mitigation however, emergency shelter is still the main thing when a disaster occurs. Emergency shelter that can be provided during a disaster is like an emergency tent. However, the available emergency tents are not proper and up to standard and have not stood in the appropriate position. The purpose of this service is to provide Counseling and Residential Restoration for Cianjur Earthquake Victims. Counseling on disaster mitigation and shelter restoration by setting up appropriate emergency tents as a solution for victims who have had to flee due to trauma and whose houses have been damaged or even destroyed. The result of the activity was that the participants understood disaster mitigation and residents' housing recovery by setting up emergency tents that could accommodate the temporary shelter needs of the victims. Adequate emergency tents with bright colors, windows for air circulation and insulation so that refugees can live separately so as to address social, health and psychological problems. Emergency tents can also be used to accommodate aid that comes from other parties, in addition to being used for children's playgrounds, community gathering places, and places of worship.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to provide assistance to improve the basic movement abilities of early childhood at GKJ North Salatiga Sunday School through digital game-based motion and song activities and provide training for Sunday school teachers at GKJ North Salatiga regarding the development of digital game media. This method of implementing community service includes assisting in implementing digital game-based play activities and songs to improve the basic movement abilities of early childhood in the 3-6-year-old class of 7 children in Sunday school as well as training in developing simple digital game-based play media for schoolteachers. week of GKJ North Salatiga. Data collection techniques through observation and Likert scale questionnaires were then analyzed using frequency (proportion) analysis techniques. The application of motion and songs based on digital game media can facilitate the improvement of basic locomotor, non-locomotor, and manipulative abilities for early childhood children at GKJ Salatiga Utara Sunday School with the percentage of achievement in the Developing as Expected category reaching 32.9% and Very Well Developing reaching 52.9 %. In the training activities, most of the teachers agreed that the training topics were appropriate and answered the needs of the Sunday school, the delivery of the material was delivered well and was easy to understand, the question-and-answer session ran effectively and increased the teacher's learning interest to apply it in his class.

Abstract

Story telling (bercerita) merupakan salah satu teknik yang dapat diaplikasikan kepada siswa yang belajar bahasa asing khususnya bahasa inggris yang menjadi salah satu bahasa yang paling banyak digunakan di dunia. Dalam pengabdian ini tim pengusul memberikan beberapa pelatihan kepada siswa/i yang belajar di Bimbel Pelangi Murni yang berlokasi di Jl. Wijaya Kusuma, Medan. Dimulai dengan memberikan pelatihan penulisan/mengarang sebuah cerita (making story), lalu kegiatan simulasi (simulation), kemudian dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan bercerita di depan kelas (story telling). Pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam melakukan Public Speaking Skill dengan teknik story telling.

Abstract

Nowadays, the development of technology for early childhood is growing so rapidly that children's interest in reading books is decreasing. In addition to the family, schools become the second environment for children so it is hoped that schools become a place where children develop an interest in reading and with a pleasant atmosphere. The reading corner is a solution for children to be able to develop their interest in reading and attractive decorations will make children excited in developing their literacy. This community service research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. This research was conducted at Kristen 2 Salatiga Kindergarten. The purpose of this research is to increase children's interest in reading and make the learning atmosphere comfortable and fun. The result of this community service activity is that it can create a new and fun learning atmosphere for students and increase interest in reading for early childhood so as to increase knowledge for children.

Abstract

The impact of the disaster on the health problems of the post-earthquake victims in Cianjur can have direct or indirect consequences, namely due to the emergence of new health problems or due to previous co-morbidities. Many people have not been monitored for their health because they did not come to the nearest health post for check-ups. The purpose of this community service is to find out the post-earthquake public health problems in Cianjur. The method used was a survey and examination of health problems carried out in Wangun Village, Bone Kasih, Cianjur by lecturers and students of the Nursing Study Program, STIKes RSPAD Gatot Soebroto in collaboration with PMI. The program of activities carried out is to provide health services in the form of "door to door" health checks. Examination results of health problems such as headaches, stomach pain and joint pain are problems that many complain about. Based on the health problems experienced, many were caused by pre-existing diseases that were triggered by the earthquake and had not checked themselves into the nearest health post.

Abstract

Budi daya ikan Lele (Clarias gariepinus) saat ini sangat diminati oleh banyak orang karena mudah dipelihara dan menjanjikan peluang pasar yang diperlukan untuk mengisi perhotelan, Restoran, konsumsi rumah tangga. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana memberdayakan masyarakat melalui budi daya ikan lele. Temuan ini didukung oleh penelitian terdahulu yang menunjukan manfaat yang serupa dalam memberdayakan masyarakat dengan cara membantu dalam budi daya ikan lele dalam satu kelompok penambak ikan hingga mampu membuka peluang peningkatan potensi ekonomi di masyarakat. Rekomendasi utama dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah pentingnya memberdayakan masyarakat dalam meraih hasil usaha dalam bidang tambak ikan dan terus mendorong agar mampu mengembangkan hasilnya dalam pengemasan dan pemasaran sehingga menjadi UMKM yang mampu bersaing di dunia bisnis internasional. Adapun Metode pengabdian masyarakat yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah proses pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui kegiatan budidaya ikan lele. Pengmas ini ditujukan pada kelompok petani tambak ikan Lele “Andir Farm” berlokasi di daerah Cibinong. Dalam kesimpulan pentingnya memberdayakan masyarakat dalam upaya membuka peluang kerja guna memperbaiki ekonomi keluarga disisi lain mendukung program pemerintah mengurangi jumlah angka kemiskinan penduduk Indonesia.

Abstract

The prevalence of cardiovascular disease in the world continues to increase. The estimate 17 million deaths occur annually and are expected to continue to increase. In Indonesia, the prevalence of cardiovascular disease in 2018 reached 4.2 million. This high rate causes an increase in mortality so it is necessary to do prevention and control. Referring to the Ministry of Health's program, prevention and control of cardiovascular disease includes promotion efforts, risk prevention factors and disease management. Programs that are included in the minimum service standards in the health sector are risk factors for screening factors so that screening factor activities are important to carry out. Based on this, the Gatot Soebroto STIKes Community Service Team carried out a screening activity for cardiovascular disease risk factors which aimed to determine the presence of cardiovascular disease risk factors in 22 minisoccer players using survey and health examination methods. The results of the activity were that of the four risk factors that were examined, high blood pressure and overweight had the highest percentage compared to blood sugar and cholesterol examinations. The results of blood pressure measurements showed that 63.7% of respondents had pre-hypertension and hypertension, the majority of respondents (54.5%) were overweight, 95.5% of respondents with normal blood sugar and 72.7% of respondents with normal total cholesterol . From these results, it is necessary to carry out follow-up interventions to reduce blood pressure and BMI as an effort to prevent cardiovascular disease.
