Abstract

Data security is currently a major concern in the world of data communication systems. Especially for important and sensitive data that must be kept confidential from unauthorized parties. There are several ways that can be applied to secure the data communicated. This paper will explain the effective security design for data communication using the AES algorithm for encryption and decryption. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) initiated a process to develop one in the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), which also established an Advanced Encryption Algorithm to replace the 1998 Data Encryption Standard (DES) algorithm. Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) can be implemented through programs on software or embedded in hardware. In continuous development, NIST develop XTS as an advance standard that applies to full disk encryption. In this paper we will discuss the application of AES-XTS using the Veracrypt encryption application

Abstract

This paper attempts to highlight the meme of fictitious presidential and vice-presidential candidates Nurhadi - Aldo which consists of combining photos or images that are combined with the text. In addition, see how memes operate in political message traffic on Twitter's social media and its relationship with power and the accompanying social conditions. This meme delivered with humor contains criticism of social conditions and it gets attention to the community. This research looks at the discourse presented through memes on Twitter's social media.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari hasil penelitian Likuiditas, Solvabilitas dan Perputaran Modal Kerja terkait dengan Profitabilitas pada perusahaan manufaktur sektor pertambangan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia untuk periode 2015-2019. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tiga (3) variabel independen dan satu (1) variabel yang disepakati. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder yang terdiri dari laporan keuangan perusahaan manufaktur. Dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini diambil dari sektor pertambangan. Metode pemilihan sampel yang digunakan adalah metode purposive sampling dengan beberapa kriteria yang telah dihasilkan dengan pertimbangan tertentu sehingga cocok untuk dijadikan sampel. Lalu ada 16 perusahaan dengan sampel 80 sampel di perusahaan manufaktur sektor pertambangan. Untuk menentukan efek parsial, peneliti menggunakan analisis linier berganda. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan uji simultan dan uji regresi parsial. Kesimpulan dari uji simultan adalah bahwa Likuiditas, Solvabilitas dan Perputaran Modal Kerja dianggap signifikan sehubungan dengan profitabilitas di sektor pertambangan. Demikian juga dengan hasil uji parsial menunjukkan bahwa variabel Likuiditas dan Solvabilitas, berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Profitabilitas. Sedangkan variabel Turnover Modal Kerja tidak signifikan terhadap profitabilitas di sektor pertambangan.

Abstract

Pemberitaan yang melakukan trial by the press terhadap Aditya Mukti oleh media baru dalam hal ini media online tersebut dipublikasikan sebelum adanya penetapan oleh pihak kepolisian yang berkekuatan hukum. Tentunya dengan demikian, trial by the press tersebut sangat bertentangan dengan asas praduga tak bersalah, di mana asas tersebut telah diatur di dalam ketentuan peraturan perundang-undangan maupun kode etik jurnalistik. Penelitian kualitatif berhubungan dengan ide, persepsi, pendapat, atau kepercayaan orang yang diteliti dengan metode penelitian yang akan digunakan pada penelitian ini merupakan metode analisis yang digunakan adalah normatif dalam jenis penelitian deskriptif. Dengan banyaknya pemberitaan yang tergolong trial by the press oleh media online, harus dicari faktor penyebabnya dan kemudian mencari cara agar trial by the press dapat dikurangi khususnya dalam kasus video syur mirip Gisella Anastasia agar ke depan tidak ada lagi korban baru akibat pemberitaan media online yang merugikan. Meski akhirnya Gisella Anastasia ditetapkan sebagai tersangka oleh pihak kepolisian bersama pria dalam video tersebut bernama Michael Yokinobu de Fretes (MYD), bukan Aditya Mukti.

Abstract

In this study researchers tried to develop a teaching pattern in the basic English language classes. The development of this pattern will focus in the form of exercises using audio visual or video media. Hopefully from this improvement material will arouse the curiosity of the participants, compared to the pattern of text exercises such as multiple choice or commonly found essays. The use of video as an English language training material turned out to be used as a benchmark for the competency of teaching participants, especially in terms of listening, writing and translation. The three aspects of the study were tested simply through a video material that researchers downloaded from youtube.

Abstract

This research is conducted to measure whether there is a correlation between English reading aloud and English reading comprehension. It consists of two variables namely; English reading aloud as independent variable and English reading comprehension as dependent variable. The population of this research is the students of SMP N 192 Jakarta that consist of 60 students and divided into two classes and the method that is used is simple random sampling, with the sample consist of 30 students. The method that is used in this research is survey. It means that, the research use oral test for reading aloud and multiple choice tests for reading comprehension. Then, all of answers which are got by researcher are noted, processed and analyzed. The oral test is related to the theme above that is used for getting information of population. In this research, first of all the researcher tests the population through reading English text loudly to know the students’ reading aloud score. Then, researcher gives multiple choice tests to know student’s reading comprehension.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the errors of simple past tense and conjunction that is made by students in writing narrative composition. The qualitative method is used by researcher in finishing the research. She took 38 writing of students of state SMK in west Jakarta. The research was held for a month start from June to July. The errors made by students influence the English narrative composition. It can be seen in the writing they made which is showing the sentences they made became meaningless. The learners weren’t used to write or made an English narrative composition by the English teachers so they got some difficulties when they were asked to make an English narrative composition. After having research on the learners’ English narrative composition, the errors happened in simple past tense are 32 mistakes; they are the use of simple past tense 20 mistakes or 30% and the form of simple past tense 12 mistakes or 18%. Conjunction has 20 mistakes or 30% and kinds of errors have 15 mistakes or 22%. Key words: Writing, Error, Simple Past Tense, Conjunctions, Narrative Composition.

Abstract

The increasingly fierce competition of online shop products spurred online shop application providers to undertake business development strategy steps by strengthening digital business services and various service innovations to meet customer needs. This can be seen from the public interest in shopping at online stores because prices are more competitive, there is no need to bother coming directly to the store, and the goods purchased will be delivered to the buyers’ place. The population in this study that used mobile shop online application services was 100 respondents. The research data analysis method is quantitative descriptive statistical analysis and multiple regression analysis. The result of this research is that the attractiveness of advertisements and customer comments together have a positive and significant effect in increasing customer product purchasing decisions for users of online shop applications in Medan, while partially the attractiveness of advertising (X1) only has a positive and significant effect, but the variables customer comments (X2) have no positive effect in improving customer product purchasing decisions on users of online shop applications in the city of Medan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengembangan potensi ekonomi lokal di Kabupaten Kerinci, serta upaya pemerintah daerah Kabupaten Kerinci dalam mendukung pengembangan potensi ekonomi lokal unggulan untuk memperkuat daya saing daerah. Data yang digunakan adalah sekunder periode Tahun 2015 – 2019, yang bersumber dari Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Jambi dan Kabupaten Kerinci. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif, dengan metode location quotien dan shift-share, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sektor yang potensial dan berdaya saing untuk dikembangkan di Kabupaten Kerinci adalah sektor pengadaan air, pengelolaan sampah, limbah dan daur ulang serta sektor informasi dan komunikasi, selain sektor pertanian, kehutanan dan perikanan yang menjadi prioritas daerah dalam pengembangan potensi ekonomi local di Kabupaten Kerinci. Diharapkam pemerintah Kabupaten Kerinci perlu memprioritas program pembangunan maupun pengalokasian anggarannya pada sektor unggulan/potensial tersebut.

Abstract

So far, people as users of goods and services often suffer losses both physically, morally and materially. Caused by the actions of Business Actors (PU) who commit fraud (fraud). The presence of the Consumer Dispute Settlement Agency (BPSK) is a fruit of reform with the birth of Law No. 8 of 199 concerning Consumer Protection (UUPK). BPSK is the institution for resolving disputes about consumer demands on their rights. Another obstacle that often occurs is the low public awareness of choosing products that are categorized as authentic / original halal by competent parties such as the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI). We know that Islamic religion encourages people to use halal products and stay away from non-halal products which has been stated in Law No. 33 of 2014 concerning Guaranteed Halal Products. Then in the era of free trade, technical regulations relating to the circulation of goods and / or services imposed by a country must refer to and meet international standards. By meeting standards, local products are expected to be able to penetrate foreign markets with a higher level of competitiveness. In addition, the fulfillment of standards can also benefit consumers in terms of quality, competitive price of goods, and security of the use of goods that have met the Indonesian National Standard (SNI). The purpose of this Community Service is to provide understanding to the people of Bungo District, especially among the younger generation (students / students) so that in the future be smart consumers in the face of increasing consumerism turmoil and invasion of foreign products in the world free market era and ASEAN economic community (MEA).
